Dead is a type of entity that appeared in JanusVR primarily within the Emerald Prison. Two different Dead entities were found here guarding Dawn while he was trapped within his mechanical prison. These entities seem to have difficulty communicating, often repeating random numbers or phrases sent by other players.
Story
The first instance of a Dead entity was discovered on May 5th, 2020 in the Fakeworld Janus room. Players were led here after a cryptic message was posted in the Internet Detectives Discord Server by IIIII. Shortly after this, players discovered the Waypoint Janus Room while the Dead entity spoke crypticall. The entity later reappeared in the Spire Janus Room and led players to the kitchen area before disappearing. Later that night, players discovered the Emerald Prison Janus Room, where Dawn was imprisoned. Here, there were two separate Dead entities that acted as guards. While the players chatted with Dawn, the Dead entities would randomly repeat words and numbers nonsensically.
The last appearance of a Dead entity was on May 30th shortly after players had discovered the City Janus Room. Here, as players explored the room, the Dead entity seemingly flew around at random while doing swimming motions.
