José is a protagonist that first appeared during the Astral Arc of Johnisdead. Players first met José going under the alias "TheArchiveGuy" after he recovered the Lunar Children servers from the remains of the Fishery. He was currently searching through Johnisdead.com for information that might help his friends, who were later revealed to be the members of the Astral Observatory, as players eventually discovered that José was originally an Internet Detective who travelled from the Astral Timeline to the Prime Timeline as instructed by Nocta. José seems to have extensive knowledge regarding the layout of Johnisdead.com, making him a valuable ally.
Story
José is an internet user from Spain who was born in the Astral Timeline. In 2016, he joined the Internet Detectives and became good friends with IsocelesAssassin and Moonman. During this time, he went by the username "Yugi". In early 2017, Nocta joined the Internet Detectives and became friends with several members there. This friendship did not last long, however, as Nocta mysterious disappeared in late 2017. Shortly after this, most of the Internet Detectives were killed by an unknown assailant. José, Moonman, and IsocelesAssassin were the only survivors. The three of them decided to track down Nocta and survey his online activities. This led them to the Astral Observatory a website he had created to lure in vulnerable, unsuspecting users and most likely use them for Lunar Children-related activities.
José became friends with the members of the Astral Observatory - Yuukichan, NotAHoax, and Kaiden Zoromichi. While Moonman and IsocelesAssassin attempted to infiltrate Nocta's ranks by hiding their previous Internet Detectives identities, José instead directly presented himself to Nocta, offering to use his Ocarina powers to assist him.[1] Though suspicious, Nocta accepted José's offer, trusting him with a special mission - travelling back in time to the year 2016 and entering into the Prime Timeline, where he would then be instructed to recover the Lunar Children servers and somehow Aggregate the sites across the Prime and Astral Timelines.
While José proceeded to carry out Nocta's plan, he presumably had no intention of actually helping him. Instead, José presented himself to the players in the Prime Timeline under the name "TheArchiveGuy", where he proceeded to explore the files found within the Lunar Children servers. It is believed that, at some point, José's treachery was discovered by Nocta, and he was punished. José was implied to have been hunted down by whatever entity killed off most of the Internet Detectives in the Astral Timeline, and his current fate is unknown.
Personality
While the players have never been able to interact much with José directly, a good understanding of his personality can be gleaned from his past conversations with other Astral Observatory members. José seems to be a very carefree individual with a somewhat "trollish" demeanor, often partaking in spamming and shitposting in the Astral Observatory chats. He is often seen cracking jokes throughout conversations, even when situations are dire. Once he retrieved the Lunar Children's servers, he became much more focused on his mission, interacting with the players in a more reserved tone as to not give himself away.
José
Sought understanding of a story far deeper than himself for the sake of many walled off from its words. Found himself consumed by it. A soul that seeks harmony in the higher realms for joys among his compatriots. Luna may he be blessed with balance and peace <3

"You may not know me, and that is fine. I am the current owner of this website “Lunar Children”. Some of my friends knew people a part of this cult. I wish to help them out by reconstructing this website. I discovered this server in a fishery that had no power. Hell, the system must of been running on battery power or something. Wires were coming out of the ground connecting to the server room. I must of done something wrong cuz as soon as I got the server home, most of the files were lost or encrypted. I also linked another domain to this one by the name of “johnisdead.com” which also acted strange once I got this server home… It’s been a long day, just finding this thing was a hassle. I will post the encrypted files here for anyone to solve. I see am getting some traffic, so if anyone is able to solve anything, send me an email to “pididoip@johnisdead.com”. I will be uploading some files once I get my Internet working better. fucking 10 MBPs right now…"
