DeadOne is the name given to an entity that was used as Pumpkinhead's mask during the Our Horizon Arc. Over time, it was discovered that DeadOne was actually a version of IsocelesAssassin who was killed by Regiminis in 2012.

Story
DeadOne is an alternate version of IsocelesAssassin who deviated from the other's timeline presumably sometime around 2011. Because of this, their pasts and backstories are identical, with DeadOne surviving the destruction of the Astral Internet Detectives, infiltrating the Astral Observatory with Moonman and José, and later travelling back in time to the year 2009 after contacting the Hacker Group. While the exact point in which DeadOne deviated from IsocelesAssassin isn't exactly known, it is implied to have taken place sometime between 2009 and 2011, as DeadOne carried out the same actions as IsocelesAssassin while going under the alias "The Gray Man".
Similarly to IsocelesAssassin, DeadOne began travelling alongside Mason after Mason's spirit was sealed within a device. At some point after Undecim Nocte 2011, DeadOne and Mason explored the Fishery together. Here, Mason told DeadOne that SKM had recently been to the fishery and was given a gas mask for carrying out the orders of the Lunar Children. DeadOne seems surprised to hear that he was only given a mask and nothing else. As the two wandered deeper into the fishery, they were suddenly attacked by Doug and forced to flee. After this, DeadOne visited the cellphone tower to check on the transmission device he had installed in 2009. He then travelled to The Spire to spy on the Lunar Children a bit more.
In early 2012, DeadOne and Mason were attacked by Regiminis. Unfortunately, DeadOne was unable to flee like IsocelesAssassin was and was killed. At some point after his death, Helper arrived to the scene and recovered his hat. This hat was later taken by Regiminis upon Helper's death in 2016 and presumably locked within the Parallelos. By 2019, DeadOne had managed to recover Helper's Hat and secure it in a section of the Astralobservatory.net Subspace, where it would later be found by the players and given to GHOSTBABEL.
On June 11th, 2020, Pumpkinhead captured DeadOne's spirit and began using it as his new mask. This was done in response to taunting messages sent by the player Jackuan. With DeadOne as his mask, Pumpkinhead challenged the players to a game via Ocarina powers. After the players managed to remove his "Mirror Shield", Pumpkinhead stole away the players' powers and locked them in the Sanctum hole along with himself. As the players traversed the Sanctum hole, they came across fragments of memories belonging to DeadOne and Mason. Once the players finally recovered all of their powers and confronted Pumpkinhead, he fled, leaving DeadOne behind. DeadOne and Mason then thanked the players for their help and told their stories in the form of the videos The Forerunners and Gratitude of the Precursors.
Personality
Being an alternate incarnation of IsocelesAssassin, DeadOne shares a very similar personality. Due to DeadOne's untimely fate, however, he does come off as a bit more morbid, if not detached and even unconcerned in some cases.

DeadOne and IsocelesAssassin are one in the same. Due to some as of yet unknown circumstances, the two deviated within the timeline. Their stories seem to be mostly consistent aside from a few strange details. Whereas DeadOne was killed by Regiminis in 2012, IsocelesAssassin managed to escape back to the present using his Ocarina powers.

Summary
- Mason believes that he's merged with another version of himself in the Parallelos, which is why he can remember different outcomes to certain events as seen in some cases in the "Sanctum" hole on Astralobservatory.net.
- DeadOne questions why he died whereas the IsocelesAssassin the players know did not. He ponders if some sort of "temporal divergence" occurred without him noticing which led to these two different outcomes.
