Story
Ben was born in 1990. His parents, Hank and Diana Hubbard, had difficulties having a child of their own in the past. Because of this, they had adopted Mat Hubbard earlier in the year. Though they were both happy to hear that Diana had finally become pregnant, she sadly passed away while giving birth to Ben. Over the following years, Hank inducted Ben into the Moon Children and fawned over him, leaving Mat to feel more and more neglected as time went on.
In 1998, Hank's mental health began to slowly deteriorate. It was around this time he began hearing Luna speak to him, teaching him the ways of ascension. When he brought his findings to the other Moon Children, they saw it as blasphemy. Outcast from the cult, Hank went on to form the Lunar Children. Despite this, Ben remained within the Moon Children, where he kept tabs on the other members for Hank. During this time, some Moon Children began noticing that Ben exhibited strange behaviors, seemingly appearing and disappearing at random.[1]
In 2002 on his 12th birthday, Ben was gifted a Nintendo 64 and a copy of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask by his fater. Later on April 23rd, Ben was drowned and ascended by his father, resulting in his soul becoming trapped within the Majora's Mask Cartridge. Hank presumably did this at the behest of Luna and Tenebris, believing it would only be an unfortunate situation for a short time.[2] While in the cartridge, the malicious spirit known as Tenebris took Ben's soul and used him as a conduit. Tenebris also stole Ben's name, calling himself "BEN".
Over the next several years, Ben was tormented within the cartridge, trapped with Tenebris. During this time, the Old Man watched over the cartridge. In September of 2010, he passed the cartridge off to Alex Hall. Tenebris then proceeded to haunt Alex - still using the name "Ben". Alex recorded these hauntings and uploaded them to his YouTube channel "Jadusable". This allowed Tenebris to escape onto the internet - taking Ben with him. Ben remained as Tenebris's sole conduit until early 2011, when he absorbed the spirit of the recently killed Max. This resulted in Ben and Max's spirits fusing into the entity known as Drowned.
Drowned would not remain in Tenebris's possession for long, however, as he managed to escape on Undecim Nocte 2011, hiding away in the computer of a hacker named SKM. For the next several years, Drowned would assist SKM and the players in fighting back against the cult - all while being hunted down by a powerful ascended cultist named Regiminis, who wished to return them to Tenebris. The players would remain unaware of Drowned's true identity until November 3rd, 2015. Months later in March of 2016, Drowned and SKM were finally captured by Regiminis. On March 23rd, Drowned was given back to Tenebris, who used them as their conduit once again.
At some point after this - likely near late 2016 or early 2017 as a result of the Kill Switch, Max and Ben were separated. While Max managed to make his way back to SKM, it is implied that Ben remained as Tenebris's conduit, and is still being used as such to this day.
Personality
Not much is known about Ben, as it is rare to see him speaking outside of Tenebris's control. From what little players have seen of him, he appears to be a meek child who loves his father and enjoys video games.
Ben Hubbard
Did Mr.Hubbard really have a son? I guess thats the "overworld" consensus now but from where I sit that world feels really under XD
What I see... a mask upon the torch child. The torch is passed but is always dressed in the symbols of something mystifying for the people it is seen by. I guess that means dressing up in green a lot around here ahaha~
Alternate Incarnations
Other timeline versions of Ben.
Ben's story within the Astral Timeline is likely fairly similar to his Prime Timeline incarnation. However, for some reason, it seems as though he was separated from Max much earlier on, as the Astral Internet Detectives never met Drowned.[3]

“Father why couldn’t she make it to the picture? Your Mother? She is sleeping, but worry not Benjamen as her awakening is coming soon, even now ones from beyond these parallels speak to me. They told me not to listen to “kelbris” anymore and to stay with them. I am no longer Kelbris, that was my fools name. As I said before do not listen to the misguided, merely dwell with them. Our time is coming soon, while they flounder about, we shall soon bring the times of the mother to this forsaken land. Now let us go inside, I obtained for you the game device you wanted and a nice game as well, alas the label seemed to be torn. None the less, happy birthday my son. I love you dad. Hurry there is much to be done in the coming days, inside at once.”
Summary
- Hank gifts Ben a Nintendo 64 and the Majora's Mask Cartridge on his birthday. Hank asks Ben to remain among the Moon Children and watch over them.

- "Speaking of, Max is the second big change that comes to mind. We never spoke to any "Drowned" person - only Max. If I'm understanding correctly, Drowned was an entity consisting of both Ben and Max, right? Well, for some reason it was just Max for us. He was able to help us into Lunarchildren.com just in time to save Tyler."
