The Old Man is a character who, despite his importance, has not made many appearances throughout Johnisdead. The Old Man joined the Moon Children in 1998 - a cult that his brother Jeremy Jarvis and friend Hank Hubbard were already members of by that point. In 2002, the Old Man was chosen to watch over the Majora's Mask Cartridge.
Story
Not much is known about the Old Man's past. He presumably grew up in rural Florida alongside his brother Jeremy Jarvis. He and his brother later became good friends with Hank Hubbard. In 1998, Jeremy convinced the Old Man to join the Moon Children.[1] Not long after this, however, his friend Hank was cast out from the cult after informing the others about ascension - something that was seen as blasphemy at the time. In 2002, Hank killed his son Ben Hubbard, ascending his spirit and trapping it within the Majora's Mask Cartridge alongside Tenebris. Shortly after this, the Old Man recovered the cartridge and watched over it.
Over time, the Old Man became a conduit for Tenebris, causing him to slowly go insane and become blinded in his right eye.[2] In September of 2010, the Old Man passed the cartridge onto Alex, who had been "chosen" - presumably because of his future status as one of The Four Giants.[3] The Old Man's fate after this point is unknown. He is presumed dead, as implied by Jeremy.[4]
Personality
The Old Man has a rather mysterious and crazed demeanor, not too unlike his brother Jeremy.
