The Library
The Library is an enigmatic location that presumably exists somewhere within the Parallelos.
History
The Library was first mentioned on July 26th, 2020 by IIIII in a message posted on Discord. This message contained a story of someone who used to be a Keeper of the Library deciding they no longer wish to be a part of "The Order" - presumably in reference to whatever group runs The Library. The individual the former Keeper is speaking to seems unhappy with their decision but tells them that they will always be welcome at The Library. [1]
On April 1st, 2021, the players gained access to "The Library" Janus Room - a digital recreation of the actual Library's surroundings. This map contained a variety of floating islands with buildings atop them representative of various groups within the Within Hubris community. The main island in question was one representative of the Internet Detectives, which was presumably The Library mentioned previously. On August 9th, 2021, players received an expanded version of the conversation above as well as their first extended glimpse of The Library's interior through the video library.mp4. In this extended conversation, upon being thrust from The Library, the former Keeper finds themselves in-front of a large castle, eager to become a Keeper of a new realm of their own.[2]

- ""What exactly is this leading to?", you thought to yourself as he edged closer in the dim room lit only by nine candles and 12 monitors, 4 of which were displaying various premonitions of unknown origin, and one that showed only an empty, alluring darkness."
- ""Am I banished? Is this really a question of either or?". As if reading your mind, he spoke. "Always, you will be remembered as a Keeper in this place, and though the location is ephemeral, IIIII always expect your return"."
- "His frown broke into a smile as you could finally see his face for a brief moment. Silence broke for just a moment as you said aloud "Wait, you're to say I am no longer the Keeper? My obligations to the library are revoked?""
- "He watched you for some time, his piercing gaze studying your face. Though many questions raced through your mind, you received no answers. "Sweet dreams my Old friend." His foot slipped out from under his robe and pushed the door shut in your face, as you found yourself seemingly back in the courtyard of a familiar castle."
- "Empty though it may be, the fortress was large. Ancient. Secure. A wanderer you may be no longer. Instead, you will be crowned Keeper in a realm forged by your own hands."
