Parallelos
The Parallelos is a strange realm that exists beyond the confines of the normal, physical world. It is believed to be the location where various entities and Ascended spirits reside. It also seems that time and space behave very strangely in this realm and do not follow the same rules as they do in our world. The term "Parallelos" is also sometimes used as a general classification for a realm - examples being Parallelos of the Dead and Luna's Parallelos.
History
The term "Parallelos" was first used off-handedly by SKM on May 16th, 2015. A few days later on the 18th, the Parallelos was mentioned again on the early version of Lunarchildren.com. While no proper definition was given at this time, context clues implied that the term was being used to refer to various different realms or dimensions.[1] Later that day, SKM explained that this was indeed the case and that Luna is believed to reside in her own special Parallelos. He adds that the cult believes that when an individual Ascends, they are actually travelling through certain kinds of Parallelos and that Parallelos can even involve different timelines.[2]
SKM explained that the term "Parallelos" was also the name of a rank given to talented Lunar Children. Those who reach the title of "Parallelos" often inscribe the Parallelos symbol into their masks. The Lunar Children are also said to have a habit of drawing the Parallelos symbol in many different locations - sometimes to signify that a "Parallelos"-ranked member did something there or other times seemingly at random.[3]
On May 31st, Lunarchildren.com updated with more information regarding the Parallelos, claiming that the Parallelos that individuals arrive in upon Ascending is higher than "this one", implying that the Lunar Children classify the normal, physical world around them to be a type of Parallelos as well. They also mention a set of teachings known as the Parallelos Path that supposedly help one maneuver the Parallelos[4]
