The Remember Series is a series of games related to Ben Drowned.

History

On April 21st, 2013, a user named "BE" linked several players to a file named Remember.exe. After playing the game for a bit, the players closed it, resulting in their computers emitting a scream and shutting down. The game also spawned several files on their desktop. On repeat playthroughs of the game, players were told to leave and had difficulty closing the game and using other windows. At some point, a Skype group was created to investigate the program. At this point, the game mostly seemed to consist of players exploring a field, a house, and coming face-to-face with a dead version of Link.

On April 28th, the player Dawn was called out by "BE" and asked to play with him. When Dawn played the game, he was able to obtain the Ocarina and reach a new area featuring a ravine.

Games

Remember.exe

Remember.exe is the most well known title within the Remember Series. This game features a small, scripted sequence of the players encountering the Elegy Statue and the Happy Mask Salesman in a field with some empty buildings. The players are then warped to a different area featuring a faceless Cremia where they obtain The Ocarina, which has several different effects depending on the song played.

Lostmemory.exe

Lostmemory.exe is an interactive game similar to Remember.exe, though it involves far more interactivity from the developer. Some features of Lostmemory.exe require an internet connection as the game attempts to connect to an FTP server named "Within Hubris". The game involved the players exploring a large, foggy field with the Moon from Majora's Mask in the sky. There was also a large house. The game's developer had the capability of pulling files from the player's computer and placing them within the game world.

Link.exe

Link.exe was a chat program that the players could use to chat directly with the game's developer, who would often be roleplaying as BEN.
