Crescent Moon Necklace
The Crescent Moon Necklace is a pivotal item within Johnisdead. While the true purpose of the necklace is unknown, it has been heavily sought over in the past, hinting towards its importance.
History
Tyler was first seen wearing the Crescent Moon Necklace in the video Fun night with john and kevin on May 21st, 2015. Several days later, he revealed that the necklace was given to him by Carla as a birthday present.[1] When the necklace went missing in 2011, Tyler accused Kevin of stealing it, since he always took a strange interest in it.[2] Text found in the video fishery regarding someone possessing Tyler's necklace at the Fishery seemingly confirms this theory.[3]
On September 16th, 2015, the necklace makes an appearance in Rosa's video fortune.webm, where it is seemingly used to correlate with "crest" in the quote "The man with the crest" in relation to Tyler. Shortly after this, a message from Kevin appears in-which he confirms he possesses the Crescent Moon Necklace.[4] On November 5th, 2015, players discovered a thread on the Lunar Children Forums revealing that a Lunar Child named Hina616 accidentally stole the Crescent Moon Necklace from the location where the Blood Moon Ritual took place. Shortly afterwards, she was forced to return it. Due to the timestamps on the Lunar Children Forums being corrupted, it's unknown when exactly in 2015 this took place.[5]
