Portals
Portal seems to be the term that Lunar Children use to refer to specific websites - specifically ones used to house Ascended spirits. These include YSHDT.com, Johnisdead.com, and Lunarchildren.com.
History
The term portal was first used on April 4th, 2015 when Patrem was cryptically making reference to the eventual discovery of Johnisdead.com.[1] Later on, SKM mocked Patrem's usage of the term and specified that he was referring to websites.[2] The term is later used on Lunarchildren.com - presumably in reference to Johnisdead.com, as it claims this particular portal is ruled by Regiminis and houses many Deviums.[3]
The Lunar Children's definition for portals was officially discovered on November 5th, 2015 within their Parallelos article, where it is indeed confirmed that the term is used to refer to websites - specifically ones used to both house Ascended entities and allow for easier communication with the Parallelos.[4] On April 9th, 2020, an altered version of the Lunar Children's definition was found on Lunarchildren.com. This definition remains mostly the same - simply adding that the Lunar Children supposedly planned on creating more personalized constructs within the websites for added comfort for ascended individuals.<ref>The alternate definition for portals can be found here.
- "Artificial parallelos created by man that house our ascended brethren. Portals allow for easy communication with those who have ascended. There are also future plans among our elder children to produce more personalized constructs within our portals for further comfort for the newly ascended. Portals also act as windows to the larger parallelos, allowing for further study and examination similar to past experiments with scrying and listening devices. It should be stressed, however, that portals are only temporary constructs that are in no way replacements for the realms constructed by Mother."
