The Astral Observatory is an online group created by Nocta in July of 2018. On the surface, the group appears to simply be a place for those interested in paranormal, supernatural, and political conspiracies to gather. In reality, the Astral Observatory exists to lure in outcast individuals and recruit them into a cult-like environment to be used for ascension. The group's name was taken from a much more official organization named the Astral Observatory from the Fucked Timeline.
Story
The Astral Observatory was created by Nocta in July of 2018. Not much is known about the group's formation other than the fact that its name was stolen from a much more official organization from the Fucked Timeline. It seems as though the main purpose of the Astral Observatory was to act as a recruitment tool. With the Lunar Children destroyed, those who survived seemingly desired new members for their own nefarious purposes.
Presenting itself as a general discussion website for paranormal and supernatural conspiracies, the Astral Observatory was able to attract a few dedicated members - Yuukichan, NotAHoax, Kaiden_Zoromichi, and Samuel Charleston. At some point, Moonman31, IsocelesAssassin, and Yugi all joined as well - surviving Astral Internet Detectives who wished to investigate Nocta's current activities, believing it would shed some light on the deaths of their friends.
Over the next few months, despite the small user count, the Astral Observatory Forums remained active through a mix of both on-topic and off-topic discussions. Members who deemed themselves trustworthy were added to the elusive "The Truth" board before finally being granted access to the Subspace - a hidden section of Astralobservatory.net that held a collection of the group's more esoteric knowledge.
On October 21st, 2018, some connection was made between Astralobservatory.net and Johnisdead.com, causing the website to lose most of its information and saved files. Despite this, the website and its forums were rebuilt as users slowly rejoined - this time with the Internet Detectives in tow. Nocta was cautious due to the presence of the players, but he still allowed them to join the Astral Observatory. However, he warned the pre-existing members to be watchful of them, partially blaming them for Astralobservatory.net going offline.
Despite this, over time, the players befriended the various members of the Astral Observatory while slowly uncovering its secrets. During this time, Nocta observed the players actions and tried to sniff out any traitors in his midst. After a series of attacks and espionage from both sides, Astralobservatory.net eventually fell into the hands of the players. With Nocta fleeing, the Astral Observatory as a group had essentially fallen under the guidance of its users instead and it now acts as a pivotal ally of the Internet Detectives.
