The Astral Observatory Forums are the main form of communication used by the members of the Astral Observatory. Though players only first discovered them on October 31st of 2018, an earlier incarnation of them had supposedly existed since July of that same year. These forums hosted countless character interactions for the players, making them a very important location.

Story

The Astral Observatory was founded sometime in July of 2018. It is implied that along with the creation of Astralobservatory.net, the forums were created around this time as well. While IsocelesAssassin, Moonman, and José all joined the site with the intention of putting a stop to Nocta's plans, other users such as Kaiden Zoromichi, Yuukichan, and NotAHoax all flocked to the site naturally with no secondary motivations. The users all seemed to get along well. Kaiden, IsocelesAssassin, and Yuukichan all participated in a roleplay together. There was also supposedly a "Kemono Friends" thread with over 1000 pages.

Nocta later created a board titled "The Truth" on the Astral Observatory Forums. This board was locked and the login information was only given out to users he trusted. For an unspecified amount of time, the password to access this board was "pqbxhtlopa". This board contained a thread detailing the group's history and a link to the Subspace - a secret section of Astralobservatory.net that contained the group's more occult knowledge. Over time, the Astral Observatory Forums were revealed to be more of an indoctrination tool that Nocta uses to gain more members for the Subspace.

On October 21st, Astralobservatory.net went offline, resulting in massive data loss and the corruption of the forums. Nocta blamed this on Johnisdead.com supposedly stealing the site's bandwidth. The players discovered Astralobservatory.net on October 24th. Due to their past involvement with Johnisdead.com, Nocta portrayed the players as if they were potentially responsible for the loss of the forums. On October 31st, the Astral Observatory Forums had been recreated. The players were now able to chat with the other members of the forums. Around this time, Nocta made a post about the players in "The Truth" board. The exact contents of this post are unknown, however.

Players began prying for more information about the Astral Observatory and their connection to the Lunar Children. On November 11th, Moonman reached out to the players in PM's, offering to give them more information in a secure location. This led to the creation of the Safe Haven Discord Server, where players could chat with Moonman in a more controlled environment. On November 13th, Nocta reached out to the player ARGdov, seeing potential in adding him to the group's inner circle.

On November 26th, Nocta discovered that Moonman was a traitor who had been giving the players information. After this, the login information for "The Truth" was changed to "mindconstruct". Moonman was not given this password and he no longer had access to the cult's inner circle. Despite this, Moonman later found his way back into the board - possibly though being given the password by another member or by simply hacking his way back in. Here, he discovered that the players ARGdov and CelestialLight had both been granted access to "The Truth" as well.

At some point in early 2019, Yuukichan was ascended and her spirit was trapped within Astralobservatory.net. Despite this, she was seemingly able to continue using her account as if nothing were wrong - similar to Jeremy Jarvis as seen on the Lunar Children Forums. Over time, however, oddities began cropping up surrounding her account, such as her sending the player Wolfcat a message simply reading "thewoods" repeated over 100 times.

On April 23rd, the Astral Observatory Forums went down - presumably both as a threat from Nocta and due to Yuukichan's spirit slowly corrupting the site. On June 5th, Moonman hacked the forums and gave all of the players moderator access. Here, they discovered that Yuukichan had indeed been ascended earlier in the year. On July 26th, IsocelesAssassin finally returned to the forums after the player Wolfcat submitted the "New Wave Bossa Nova". IsocelesAssassin soon joined the Safe Haven Discord server and began chatting with the players there alongside Moonman.

Over time, the forums slowly corrupted more and more - both because of Yuukichan's presence and due to an influx of "spambots" summoned by Moonman. On August 8th, Nocta announced that Moonman had been banned from the forums. In reality, Moonman had been trapped within the Parallelos within a section of the site's Subspace. IsocelesAssassin's ally, GHOSTBABEL, assisted the players in saving Moonman. This process caused the site to undergo some strange sort of temporal flux, however, resulting in posts from the forum members from different timelines appearing for a brief period of time.

With Moonman saved, the players managed to scare Nocta away from the site, who was likely fearful considering the temporal chaos it had just underwent. This chaos also allowed Pumpkinhead to enter into the Astral Timeline, who then proceeded to pretend to be the player Wolfcat. On April 20th, 2020, IsocelesAssassin, Moonman, and the Hacker Group began to enact a plan to get the players into the Subspace and, by extension, Johnisdead.com. This required the use of a Data Bomb. It was then that Pumpkinhead made his move, destroying the Safe Haven Discord server and stealing away the Data Bomb. Fortunately, the Hacker Group was able to send the players a second Data Bomb, which was then posted in "The Truth" by the player ARGdov. This resulted in the site corrupting further, allowing the players to access the Subspace.

On May 12th, players began using the Astral Observatory Forums as their main form of communication once again. On July 3rd, Pumpkinhead attacked once again by locking the players' Ocarina powers within the Astral Observatory Forums. The players were then forced to explore a labyrinth of pages in the Sanctum Hole in order to regain access to the forums. The "Sanctum" hole was finally completed on September 1st, as the players discovered the username was "finalastralbarrier" and the password was "fleetingdream".

On December 21st, IsocelesAssassin and GHOSTBABEL informed the players that they had hatched a new plan to regain communication with the Hacker Group. The players were to scour Johnisdead.com for a transmission code that they would then plug in to a new page on the Astral Observatory Subspace. The players accomplished their mission on December 22nd. On December 23rd, GHOSTBABEL would begin occasionally posting transmissions from the Hacker Group on the Astral Observatory Forums, offering the players to send questions in the form of posts to ask the group.

The key to this was apparently "VIOLET", though what we didn't find until a few days later was that "VIOLET" was the key to a cipher on a completely seperate redirect. When we got to that redirect, it read something about activating a "mechanism" of some sort, and we were then led to the unlocked prison cell (Or at least a digital representation of it). However by that point Yugi was already gone, and whoever took him is very adamant that we'll never get him back. Only thing I can think of to help him right now is getting into the "archive" or "contact" page on the LC website, though those may pertain to something completely separate from Yugi."

Normally this would imply that your version of Wolf was the one who was killed and used as a mask, but I don't think that's the case."

It seemed to be pretty self explanatory at the time of upload but its actual meaning has either been lost to time or is just relevant again in a same-or-not-same way. Tried to connect some dots with it and the situation with the helper picto box and suitcase as there were a lot of similarities, though if this theory is correct the actual date of the footage in 5646 would've been on October 20/21 of 2019 (In the video we see Tyler take a camera out of a suitcase a picture of something, and that picture same picture was uploaded on the 20. And on the 21st, we find a channel called "Quiet Family", which based on the description of the video seems to be run by Max, who as far as we know was on Tyler's necklace). That IIIII guy referenced it a few times and posted it in our #dream channel on discord too which has led to some speculation that it was some sort of dream of the future? We still aren't really sure though."

TheRealXenquility 7:54 PM: "Pumpkinhead mentioned something about ascending to the "final layer" after reclaiming his mask but like with many things we don't exactly know what that means. From one of the janus pages there's a few gifs of text that seem to be from him (They're orange and correlate with some of the things said in the recent silentdork videos). One of them mentions that he made a deal with the "Dark One" (Can't remember if we've spoken of a dark one before off the top of my head but my closest guess would be Tenebris?) that averted our eyes, using two of our people for a performance that concealed him. I'd assume this is referring to the use of Jos and Circle during the "Pumpkinjack" to trick us but it could be referencing something else entirely or I'm just getting the people mixed up. It then mentions that we will save "Her" (Yuuki possibly?) and free "Him" (Yugi possibly?), after which he will regain his mask and truly ascend. We aren't entirely sure what this means but it makes it out to seem that carrying out our current plans will only lead to his success. Though, this could always be the case of it being an inevitability that we must face in the future."

(Though that wouldn't be too far from the truth either in this case.) My fear is that this entity that took Yugi and killed the others is not only dangerous in a physical sense, but also dangerous as a concept, with the very thought and utterance of their existence having the potential to lead to some very bad shit, to say the least. At first, we had all thought that Pumpkinfuck just hijacked it through the same sort of techno-wizardry GB often utilizes. It turns out, things were a bit more severe than that. It appears that Pumpkinfuck snatched up some dead, offshoot version of myself and began using him as a mask, similar to how he did with Wolfcat... Judging by that Forerunners video, this version of myself was killed by Regiminis back in 2012."

Mercury 6:01 PM: "I belive everytime someone or something does a choice, no matter the % ratio, it creates a new timeline with the opposite result of it. Imagine there are 2 people, 1 trying to marry the other. Example: 50% of the other person saying yes to something, 50% of the other person saying no to something Now we have 2 timelines, the Yes timeline, and the No timeline. If we continue, we could have a third and fourth timeline Example: After this person says yes to something, it rectifies to no. After this person says no to something, it rectifies to yes. Now we have 4 timelines. Time is really old, a lot of things has happen, imagine the number of timelines currently active in this reality. Now, years later, imagine there is a third person who is the son of those 2 people (from the Yes timeline, and the Yes rectified timeline). For some reason, it decies to make his mother say no, just by curiosity. It goes to the past, convinces his mother to say no (just cruious note: another timeline has been created where the mother ignores the son and he fails) Ok she says no and they never spoke again, what happens to this son, he dissapears? Nope. His timeline has dissapeared, but there is no reason for him to dissapear, he is a bunch of atoms not connected to that timeline any longer. And even if he could recreate the timeline again, if he goes to that new timeline, he would encounter himself but from that timeline, he would need to wait and see if that guy would return to the past, but that would mean that if that second himself sucessed, the timeline where he is right now would be deleted along him. the sad story about time travel is that if you ever try to change time, time will punish you deleting your world."

ARGdov 4:10 PM: "To put it simply, I'm trying to find answers just like anyone else here. I was with Internet Detectives for a considerable ammount of time it's true but I left for a number of reasons which would be too complicated to enumerate here. To put it simply, the number of unreconcilable differences I had with most of the members eventually made me feel I had to leave. Not to mention, I've encountered some strange stuff with them as, stuff which no one in the group was able to explain. I was looking for answers and it seemed there approach wasn't garnering the results I was looking for, so there seemed no point in staying with them. With that said, I did get wind of this place from an old contact of mine who's part of the group (I don't believe he's joined yet though I haven't asked for certain). Despite there presence here the forum itself did sound promising, provided I was allowed to work on my own. The detectives are slow and often times come to rather poor conclusions, to the point that they've put people at risk in the past as well. I want answers and they clearly aren't going to be of any help. They've tried to save lives and have failed, and I question at times wether those lives were worth saving."

ARGdov 6:44 PM: "I want to know to put it simply, "the truth". Not the nebulous thing that ID constantly yammer about but really and truly, the truth. I don't know what you have to do with Johnisdead or any of the cults that the detectives have encountered (if you have any connection at all in the first place), but it seems you know something worthwhile. I've encountered so many bizarre things, even before joining ID. Some of it seemed to point to the moon cults, and I guess specifically 'Luna', whoever she really is (another of my many questions. I'm not so quick to dismiss the claims of the MC or the LC....those groups certainly have power, power which isn't natural). You told the members here that they should try and change the ID's minds about something, I'd like to know what that "something is" and what they're wrong about If I may ask, who are you, anyways? You seem to know a bit more about me than I do about you. I'm convinced that ID are putting people at risk by interfering and that they're attempts to learn the truth have lead them to come to inaccurate conclusions. I don't trust the few allies they made when I was with them, and I feel you can clear things up."
