The rune casting board seen in several videos.

Rune Casting is a divination method that involves laying out Runes in either a random or specific manner and deciphering their meanings.

History

Runes were first mentioned on August 28th, 2018 in the video A guest. Here, Tyler tells Greth that he's begun studying Armanen Futhark Runes and Odin. It's unknown if he was actively practicing rune casting at this point, though.[1] After this, runes began appearing more frequently on Johnisdead.com. An entity believed to be Synchron also began frequently using runes through the IIIII account. Synchron was claimed to often be "casting at the altar in the fourth world" - likely rune casting.[2] It's likely that the strange board seen in videos around this time such as ᛇᛇᛇᛇ and IIII was Synchron's rune casting board.

Runes were also mentioned within Astralobservatory.net's Subspace, though what exactly was taught there is unknown.

  2. Patrem implies that Synchron partakes in rune casting here.

    • [5:40 AM] Xenquility: "Where can we find him?"
