CircleHunter is a prominent player who has participated in Johnisdead for the majority of its run. Joining the Internet Detectives in 2015, CircleHunter has been present through many important events throughout the ARG. He occasionally ascended the role of simply being a player, as seen when he played the role of The Gray Man and inspired the character IsocelesAssassin - his canonical Astral Timeline counterpart.

History

CircleHunter was a prominent member of the Internet Detectives throughout most of Johnisdead. Joining the Internet Detectives in 2015, CircleHunter was first mentioned in the poem found in "notes.png" on YSHDT.com, listed as one of the potential candidates who would bring about salvation. On March 14th, he was labelled a demon by Helper. On March 30th, he was selected by The Man alongside the players Wolfcat and Mando to choose between Doug or Mason's save file. He, along with the others, ultimately chose Doug.

CircleHunter's Astral Timeline counterpart, IsocelesAssassin, was also an important member of the Astral Internet Detectives, making him a target. In 2019, CircleHunter was tricked by Pumpkinhead in participating in the Pumpkinhead Gamejack. Believing this to simply be a joke being played by Wolfcat, CircleHunter participated - unknowingly assisting Pumpkinhead in cultivating submissions and shrouding himself in a veil of uncertain relevancy.

Astral CircleHunter goes by the username IsocelesAssassin and is one of the surviving members of the Astral Internet Detectives. He infiltrated the Astral Observatory alongside José and Moonman31 in an attempt to uncover Nocta's involvement with the deaths of their friends.

There seems to be a second incarnation of CircleHunter who hails from the Astral Timeline. This second incarnation of CircleHunter varies enough from this incarnation to warrant their own page - DeadOne.

This second incarnation of CircleHunter seemingly ended up trapped within the Prime Timeline somehow. They were later presumably killed by Regiminis, after which they became the entity known as "DeadOne", who was later used as a mask by Pumpkinhead.
