The story so far...

In the previous section, Patrem finally returned to Within Hubris after a long absence - though the circumstances surrounding this were a bit confusing. As far as the players knew, Patrem should still be trapped inside of Greth... Additionally, this version of Patrem seemed far less condescending and was instead somewhat humble - albeit far more cryptic and esoteric.

Patrem had supposedly become lost in the Parallelos at some point after 2016. Here, he met the Rune Entity, who was revealed to be a powerful mage named Synchron. Patrem is now following Synchron's teachings, which has granted him a great deal of knowledge regarding the true nature of his reality. Additionally, Synchron himself communes with an absolute god-like being called "The Great Author" - someone who Patrem claims is above even Luna in terms of power and influence. Afterwards, Patrem began cryptically speaking about future events:

Someone - presumably Tyler - will meet Synchron atop some sort of "City". They will also meet "The GIRL", who is supposedly Tyler's anima. Synchron wishes to bestow Tyler some sort of "Spear". Patrem also mentions the existence of "Three Runes" and "Four Treasures" - all of which will lead to the retrieval of some sort of "Grail". Afterwards, he mentions a "Tower" that will lead to a "Tree" where Tyler will supposedly defeat Tenebris. However, all of this was laced in heavy symbolism and details were scarce...

Patrem also mentioned various other esoteric concepts as well. These included "The Orchard"A concept most likely referring to the Moon Children's old headquarters as well as a mysterious Hebrew myth., "The Book"A concept most likely referring to both the "Libro Lunarus" and possibly fate itself., and "The Machine" - presumably the same "Machine" that Tyler himself is currently trapped within. Patrem implies that he himself is also currently within "The Machine", though what exactly this means on a literal level is unknown... Patrem also revealed some more information about "The Fourth World"Just as the players, Patrem always knew of "The Fourth World" as Luna's Parallelos. However, he now claims that Synchron is the holder of it and that the realms of "The Great Author" extend beyond it. and "Dream Spheres", which he describes as "Realms" for "Those who generate", implying that they're connected to the concept of creation itself. Interestingly, an old message from an out-of-character Tyler suggested that "Dream Spheres" may hold some meta-relevance as well, as he implied that different GM's have their own "Dream Spheres".

Afterwards, the players were contacted by their allies in the Safehaven Discord server. IsocelesAssassin, GHOSTBABEL, Moonman, and the players all grouped together to finally initiate their plan to break into the Subspace. This plan involved IsocelesAssassin's mysterious unnamed allies sending him a special "Data Bomb", which would then need to be posted in the Astral Observatory Forum's "The Truth" board. This would disrupt Nocta's security and allow the players to log into the Subspace. Unfortunately, when the file arrived, the Data Bomb was missing - stolen by Pumpkinhead himself. This coincided with the release of a message log between Pumpkinhead and "AW", or "Astral Wolf" - the spirit of the Astral Timeline's version of Wolfcat.

Pumpkinhead entered into our realm when the players reverted Astralobservatory.net back to normal in 2019. He was the "orange" entity mentioned by Moonman and the "lurking" entity mentioned by Yuukichan. Shortly after this, he hunted down Astral Wolf's spirit and contained him somewhere. This is when Astral Wolf first met Yuukichan - or her spirit, at least. From this point onwards, Pumpkinhead was using Wolfcat's accounts and impersonating him. Eventually, the players became suspicious, resulting in Pumpkinhead working alongside Tenebris to conduct the "Pumpkinhead Gamejack".

The sole main purpose of the "Pumpkinhead Gamejack" was to avert suspicion away from Pumpkinhead by having Tenebris, pretending to be an out-of-character Tyler, denounce his canonicity. Ultimately, it was a success, as the players no longer considered Pumpkinhead to be an active threat afterwards. However, around this same time, Pumpkinhead trapped Astral Wolf inside a bottle via the "Poe in a Bottle" item. This explains the recent appearance of the "Poe in a Bottle" in the Dungeons & Dragons game and the "Ascended E-Girl" album - it presumably represents Astral Wolf's trapped state.

With the release of the "Ascended E-Girl" album, Yuukichan became trapped in its Amiibo Dungeon. However, she also took Astral Wolf's spirit into it with her - explaining her posting of the "Poe in a Bottle" during this time. Pumpkinhead was not planning for his and was enraged. Now, he's currently in possession of the "Data Bomb" and is actively crippling the players' contact with their allies. If the players are unable to somehow break into the Subspace, it's possible that they may stay isolated forever - and Tyler will remain lost within the Parallelos...

After Pumpkinhead deleted the Safehaven Discord server, the players were largely cut off from their allies. However, GHOSTBABEL was still in the Internet Detectives Discord server, allowing them to send the following message:

𝕘𝕙𝕠𝕤𝕥𝕓𝕒𝕓𝕖𝕝

"DO NOT TRUST WOLFCAT. YOU DID NOTHING WRONG. IT WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN THIS WAY. DON'T BE FOOLED, HE IS HERE WATCHING."

Unfortunately, GHOSTBABEL was banned shortly after this...

On April 21st, 2020, Pumpkinhead continued chatting with the players - now using "PH.gif" as their avatar - a distorted image of Wolfcat.

Pumpkinhead refers to Astral Wolf as his "Mask". This implies that he was previously using Astral Wolf's spirit in a way similar to that of a conduit - not too unlike how Tenebris used John back in 2015. This is presumably what allowed him to impersonate Wolfcat so well. However, even though Astral Wolf is no longer in Pumpkinhead's possession, he claims that "His essence lingers now" - possibly explaining why Pumpkinhead's avatar still resembles Wolfcat.

Pumpkinhead also claims that he's not a person - nor is he an ascended spirit. Instead, he simply refers to himself as a "Dream" that was dreamt up by someone. While it's not clear what this means exactly, Pumpkinhead seems to want to become more than just a dream. He hopes to do this by reclaiming Astral Wolf's spirit and ascending to the "final layer", though he doesn't elaborate on what this means.

Around this same time, Patrem posted the following on Within Hubris:

"Here now a portion of thine power shall be harbinged - here upon thy home. So too shall the key be granted when time come for its use."

This seems to imply that the players Ocarina powers are now tethered to Within Hubris, meaning that submissions will mainly only be accepted there instead of on Discord. However, this also seems to imply that the Ocarina is currently "locked" and that the players cannot use it - at least for the time being...

Meanwhile, the IIIII account became active back on Discord and began posted various images. Most of these were distorted excerpts of past conversations that the IIIII account had held in private with different players. The first of these was with the player ARGdov:

He wanted desperately to get his message out and thought I would not notice if he did it this way.

This is really funny. It won't happen again.

The context of this conversation is a bit of a mystery. The individual speaking through the IIIII account here is most likely Tenebris, given their tone. They're most likely mocking Synchron's attempt to get some sort of message out, implying that this may have been in reference to when the two of them were fighting in a voice call on August 18th, 2019.

The exact context isn't too important - what matters is Tenebris's response to it. He claims that "this" is "how he wins" and his insistence that all of this is just a "game", possibly implying that he wants the players to remain confused and not take any of this seriously.

Afterwards, the IIIII account posted several excerpts from a conversation he had with Miss Jackson. As a reminder, Miss Jackson was a player who briefly joined the Internet Detectives one day before the voice call mentioned above occurred - August 17th, 2019. She had presumably been contacted by the IIIII account and was unnerved by their messages, believing that all of this - including the story of Ben Drowned - was real.

As a result, Miss Jackson was mocked by several Internet Detectives and eventually left the Discord server - much to Tenebris's delight. Supposedly, Miss Jackson's sincere belief was something that Synchron wished to "kindle" - and something that Tenebris hoped to extinguish. Regardless, the players were now finally being given a glimpse of the conversations that took place between Miss Jackson and the IIIII account - though parts of some messages have been removed:

Given the tone, it's likely that the entity speaking through the IIIII account here is Synchron. Miss Jackson asks Synchron if he knows who BEN is. Instead of answering outright, Synchron dives into some sort of esoteric evaluation of BEN. Unfortunately, not much can be made of this conversation due to how much of it has been cropped out. However, more excerpts were posted shortly afterwards:

Do u know where I can find that kind of people?

There is one place but there are a couple problems

If you go to them I can't exactly talk to you anymore

But you will probably figure out why once you get there

The worst thing about my current condition

Here, Miss Jackson seems to be asking if there's any sort of community where these topics can be discussed further. In response, Synchron hints towards the existence of the Internet Detectives. However, he claims that if Miss Jackson joins the Internet Detectives, he'll no longer be able to speak with her. This is similar to something that Synchron told the player Scout around this same time:

it will bee a long time before I can speak again now but I have told you these things
but I can technically still say stuff to you for now because your not awake so you dont know any of this yet
I can only talk to you like this because you dont know so they cant know
but once you know buddy I gotta go
you have not been around as much so it created a window that gave it a blind spot on your end

It seemed that if players were less active and less aware, Synchron could speak to them more freely. However, once they joined the Internet Detectives and became more active, Synchron could no longer speak to them actively...

Afterwards, another excerpt was posted:

Are you a Moon Children or BEN Drowned is one of your nicest friend?

I just feel so bad for the kid and all the shit he has been through.

I really do wanna give him a hug and say "hey me too buddy", but I don't really have time to ((Illegible)) either.

The thing that took him and likes to take a lot of other shit to is now very aware of what I am doing.

I probably should have taken the time to explain a few more things

Right off the bat I have already made it seem like I am Tyler in the normal way they would undIIIIII-

Here, Synchron can be seen sympathizing with Ben. He also reiterates that Tenebris is very aware of Synchron's actions and movements, which has limited his time to communicate with Miss Jackson. Interestingly, he implies once again that he somehow is Tyler - or at least another version of Tyler - but he regrets making the players initially think that he was "Tyler in the normal way they would understand".

This all adds some more context to how exactly the player Miss Jackson found her way into the Internet Detectives back in 2019 - as well as a reminder of the various restrictions that Synchron had to abide by and Tenebris's conflict with him.

Synchron then continued posting various cryptic messages across Discord - including the following:

"ST GEORGE 5/23/2015. The rows are wayward, young straysinger. World. Merging."

While the significance of the date here is unknown, the mention of "Saint George" is interesting. As their name implies, this individual was a saint in Christianity. Interestingly, "George" was also the name of a spirit that the players briefly chatted with on Johnisdead.com through the "Pididoip" email address.

Later that night, a video titled "N" was uploaded to a rather unexpected location - the "M" YouTube channel.

As seen above, Pumpkinhead immediately responded to this using Wolfcat's old account, furiously questioning where and how the players managed to obtain a second "Data Bomb". This was coupled with a new blog post on the front page of Astralobservatory.net:

This all seemed to mirror ARGdov's posting of the "Bomb Plans" back in 2015 - much to Doug's fury. However, instead of dooming the players, ARGdov had saved them, using his unique position to undermine Pumpkinhead and carve a new path forward.

The "Data Bomb" already began taking its toll on the site. The front page of Astralobservatory.net had now become distorted as the entire page was now slightly jittering... Around this same time, GHOSTBABEL took advantage of Pumpkinhead's distracted state and rejoined the Internet Detectives Discord server:

"Tʜᴇ sᴜʙsᴘᴀᴄᴇ. Tʜᴇ ᴜsᴇʀɴᴀᴍᴇ ɪs WELLOFSOULS. Yᴏᴜ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴘᴀssᴡᴏʀᴅ. GO."

GHOSTBABEL had delivered the second key - "WELLOFSOULS". This, combined with the first key obtained from the "Ascended E-Girl" album - "SKELETONKEY", allowed the players to finally log into Astralobservatory.net's hidden underbelly - The Subspace.

Checkpoint #2

The Subspace was heavily corrupted - no doubt due to the effects of the "Data Bomb". This resulted in the site's text and images becoming heavily distorted.

This "Info" page contained links to several other pages that covered different forms of magic, witchcraft, and esoteric studies. Let's cover each of these pages one-by-one. First up is the page covering "Lunar Mysticism" - "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/info/lunar-mysticism".

Lunar Mysticism

Since ancient times, the moon has been worshipped as a sacred symbol that holds unnatural powers. Some believe the moon is responsible for everything ranging from mood swings to the passage of time. The following teachings have been found to be the most consistent throughout the ages and across many different religions.

Luna
The divine embodiment of the moon - the Lunar Goddess Luna. In contrast to the masculine deity of the sun, Luna is often depicted as a motherly figure. Luna's worshippers have an affinity for the night and often hold various ceremonies dedicated to Her in sacred moonlight. Historically, these rites have consisted of elegant banquets and festivals that last till dawn.

In many cultures, it is customary for moon worshippers to craft and wear masks to these celebrations. The designs of these masks vary wildly and often include elaborate, colorful designs. Lunar Realms
Some religions believe in alternate worlds that exist beyond our own. It's said that, through the moon's various magical properties, one may travel to these strange, alien realms through devout worship of the moon. These worlds, referred to as the Parallelos by some, are believed to contain secrets that unlock abilities such as teleportation, astral projection, and even immortality.

The Faceless
Among the many mysterious oddities found on the moon's surface, none is moreso than the creatures known as "The Faceless". Not that different from the concept of extraterrestrials, The Faceless are strange creatures that are said to live upon and worship the moon. It's belived that these hivemind beings have the potential to tap into Luna's vast reservoir of spiritual energy and preform what can only be described as miracles.

These Faceless creatures are rumored to occasionally descend to Earth and communicate with a few lucky chosen humans every year on a sacred day.

The description of Luna here is fairly vague and simple. It also mentions Luna's supposed counterpart - a masculine deity representative of the sun - possibly referencing Helios. This section also contained a link to a simple guide on how to create your own mask. It's possible that these simple definitions and guides were designed less to divulge actual deep esoteric truths and instead plant these basic ideas in the heads of users.

Additionally, the mention of "Lunar Realms" here is also another simplified version of Lunar Children teachings, vaguely advertising concepts such as teleportation and immortality. This also explains how Yuukichan was aware of the term "Parallelos" back in 2018... The description of the Absque Fascie is also quite simple - so much so that this page likens them to aliens - something that NotAHoax would no doubt be hooked by. Of course, we now know that the Absque Fascie are far more than this...

Alternate Universes

Originating as a simple thought experiment, the idea of alternate universes and timelines has slowly gained more and more credence over the past few decades. Now, scientists and clerics alike are looking into the concept further. In the modern day, it's generally accepted that universes alternate to our own do exist and have perhaps affected us on a deeper level than we may initially think...

Multiverse Theory
The theory that, much like our solar system, our universe is but a single instance of an infinitely expanding collective. In our vast universe, there is an incredibly high probability that other planets similar if not identical to our Earth exist. The same school of thought can be applied with multiverse theory. If our universe exists in an infinite void, is it not possible that there exists a universe out there among the countless others that is nearly identical to our own?

Timelines and Infinite Possibilities
Another concept stemming from that of multiverse theory is that of infinite universes through alternate timelines. This approach is similar to the thought experiment known as "Schrödinger's cat". This theory believes that for every single decision we make, an alternate universe or timeline exists where a different decision was made. Whether the act of making the decision is what spawns these split timelines, or they simply already existed out within the void as describied by multiverse theory, the fact is that there is an infinite number of our "others" spread across the ether experiencing worlds both vastly different and uncannily similar to our own.

Aggregation
Each and every one of us is unique. We all have our own thoughts, opinions, ideals, and methods. However, some believe that through the multiverse, it is possible to tap into our other selves and "link" our consciousnesses across space and time. Through this method, it is said that one can travel through and experience alternate universes.

These first two concepts vaguely tie into how we know the universe of Johnisdead works - to some extent, at least. We've witness countless alternate timelines thanks to events such as Youshouldnthavedonethat.net's return and very existence of the Astral Timeline itself. Interestingly, this section directly mentions the "Schrödinger's cat' experiment and the concept of small decisions having large ramifications in our different timelines evolve.

However, the final section of this page is the interesting part - it finally gives us definitive look at the term Aggregation, which is the concept of an individual linking their consciousness with their alternate selves across different timelines or universes. Supposedly, this would allow one to possibly travel between these different timelines at will. This sounds very similar to what BUP has achieved - what with him supposedly being connected to every version of Greth in existence...

Judging by the name a description, this simply would have been a basic introductory video that explained the purpose and mission of the Astral Observatory.

These two audio files were quite important - supposedly being transmissions that Nocta himself had somehow intercepted and uploaded to the site. Let's listen to them:

This first transmission contained muffled Morse Code. Once translated, it revealed the following message: "SKM ARE YOU THERE". It seems that someone was attempting to contact SKM... The following transmission revealed who this individual was:

Here, a distorted voice can be heard saying "Can you hear me? It's me, Seth.", implying that this "Seth" individual is the person attempting to contact SKM.

The players had heard this name before back in 2016. Seth, who also went by the nickname "Mase", was a Lunar Child who supposedly infiltrated the Moon Children alongside Kevin - in some timelines, at least. Seth was only ever mentioned on Youshouldnthavedonethat.net when various different timelines were being shown to the players, so it's unclear what significance he may hold in the Astral and Prime Timelines... Regardless, it seems as though some version of Seth is now attempting to contact SKM... However, Seth's status and motives are still a mystery.

These two files were submitted by Yuukichan. They're the same photos that she later posted on the Astral Observatory Forums when she was discussing paranormal activity in her childhood home.

We've now caught up to the files that were uploaded around the same time that Johnisdead.com supposedly "stole Astralobservatory.net's bandwidth", as Nocta claims. This was also around the same time that the players became aware of the Astral Observatory and began joining the forums.

Yuukichan's image is fairy self-explanatory - it's the same distorted image of Tyler that was shown on the front page of Johnisdead.com at the time. The members of the Astral Observatory had no doubt become interested in Johnisdead.com after Nocta's announcement, so it makes sense that they'd catalogue some of its files here. Interestingly, both of Nocta's uploads relate to the Internet Detectives themselves:

These were both heavily distorted screenshots of the Internet Detectives Tumblr page. It's possible that Nocta had posted these images in the now-deleted "Internet Detectives" thread that he had posted in "The Truth" board. Regardless, the existence of these files hints towards the fact that the members of the Astral Observatory were studying and talking about the players behind closed doors - something that we were already aware of given Nocta's antagonistic narrative regarding the players.

This seemed to be one final alien-related video uploaded by NotAHoax. Just as the others, it seems to be completely unrelated and nigh unintelligible...

The next file had a rather familiar name:

Strangely, this file was a heavily distorted version of Greth's "Escape pt.2" video, the same video that contained footage of someone - possibly Greth themselves - visiting what appeared to be a nature trail. As a reminder, this video was leaked to the players by Moonman. This implies that this video was presumably recorded by Greth, retrieved by Nocta, and then leaked to the players by Moonman. However, the exact context surrounding this video as well as the reason why Nocta considers him to be a "person of interest" is a mystery.

Next up was a large batch of files that all followed a similar format:

These were all photos of the interior of an old, dusty house. The players had actually seen these photos before - they were within the image "hh.gif" that Yuukichan had manifested on Johnisdead.com. It was implied that these were photos of Yuukichan's haunted childhood home. However, all of these files were submitted by Nocta himself. Additionally, they were submitted one day before Yuukichan created her "Haunted houses" thread. This implies that Nocta himself was supposedly in possession of these photos and was responsible for first uploading them - no doubt because Yuukichan was already ascended by this point... When she manifested "hh.gif" on Johnisdead.com later on, she simply merged all of these photos together into a distorted gif.

Strangely, the images "hh_(6).png" and "hh_(11).png" seemed to be corrupted and would not open...

The final two files in the directory were uploaded by a mysterious source - Samuel Charleston. As a reminder, Samuel Charleston is the mysterious elderly user of the Astral Observatory. Despite being one of the first accounts registered on the forums, he has still yet to make a post... Despite this, it seems that he later became active on April 23rd of 2019 to upload the following files - the same date that Tyler was chased into the Parallelos:

As the names suggest, these were simply distorted versions of "sacredartifact.mp4" and "guidance.mp4" - the videos that Moonman leaked to the players on April 23rd, 2019. Both of these videos involved the Majora's Mask cartridge - as well as what appeared to be Tenebris and the Mannequin Entity.

This explains where Moonman was able to leak these files from - much like "Escape pt.2" before them. However, Samuel's role in all of this and what exactly was being conducted within these videos is still a mystery.

With the "Files" page completed, let's move on to the "IRC" page - "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/chatroom". Unfortunately, this page was heavily corrupted and didn't have much to offer - it simply featured a broken flash plugin - one that was presumably once used to host an exclusive Subspace-only Astral Observatory chatroom.

Finally, the last option on the Subspace's navbar, "Admin", led to a password-protected page - "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/admin". Presumably, this is where Nocta controlled the site. Sadly, the players were unable to access this.

Checkpoint #3

With the Subspace's navbar fully explored and the "main" pages out of the way, the players began seeking out any hidden pages they could find... Supposedly, the Subspace was somehow meant to connect them back to Johnisdead.com. However, they haven't found anything like that yet...

Regardless, it didn't take long for the player Xenquility to discover a new page. By clicking on the strange, distorted image on the front page of the Subspace, the players were linked to "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/inner".

Additionally, the player Problematik discovered that clicking on "Me" in the page's header would redirect them to another new page - "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/inner/girl-gone".

This page was more corrupted than the last... It seemed that the deeper the players went, the more corrupted the site became. Just as before, this page contained another distorted version of "Out of my League" - "E_r_r_or_un_kn_ow_n.mp3".

The player Problematik found that clicking on the text "Luna" would bring them to one final page - "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/inner/open-index/gate".

The gate will open.

The players had gone deep - the audio on this page, "incoming.mp3", was muffled and barely discernable. The image of the Parallelos symbol on this page, "portal.png", as well as the mention of a "Gate" implied that the players had finally found the connecting point between Astralobservatory.net and Johnisdead.com. However, this page also contained a timer - one that was counting down to April 23rd, 2020. It seems that the players would have to wait just a bit longer before they could access Johnisdead.com once again.

This wasn't the end of the Subspace, though. Further exploration led to the discovery of more hidden pages.

First, the players discovered that attempting to access a non-existent page within the Subspace would taken them to the page "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/error.html".

This seems to be the moment where Astral Wolf and Yuukichan first met one another - both as disembodied spirits within Astralobservatory.net.

Yuukichan's ascended spirit had been trapped in Astralobservatory.net for months, which lines up with this taking place sometime in mid-to-late 2019. However, Astral Wolf's spirit had only been there for 40 days. This implies that this conversation took place on October 2nd, 2019, as that date was 40 days after he first met Pumpkinhead and became trapped.

Dates aside, this is how Astral Wolf and Yuukichan first met - one trapped by Pumpkinhead and the other trapped by Nocta. Yuukichan accepts how dangerous Nocta is and what he did to her, yet she still considers him to be a friend and acknowledges that he seems to be suffering. Nocta supposedly believes that he's no longer capable of doing anything other than inflicting pain and suffering upon others, implying that he's undergone a fair amount of mental turmoil.

The final Redirect Page, "https://astralobservatory.net/subspace/lndex.html", was a bit more unique. It seemed to be a near perfect replica of the main Subspace front page. However, the text that normally read "You're safe here" had been changed to "You're not safe", and clicking any link on this page would link players to Redirect Page on Lunarchildren.com, jump-scaring them.

However, the Subspace still had more secrets to uncover. Players discovered that the "File Directory" also had its own unique Redirect Page:

The final hidden page was tucked away in a rather sneaky location. The players noticed that the various "hh" uploads in the "File Directory" only went up to 12. Eventually, the players attempted to access a seemingly non-existent file on the site - "hh_(13).png". Much to their surprise, this file actually DID exist:

Checkpoint #4

The players had now discovered all of the pages that the Subspace had to offer. However, it still contained many mysteries such as suspicious missing files and large ciphered blocks of text... Upon investigating these oddities further, the players uncovered several hidden chatlogs on the site - old conversations between the various members of the Astral Observatory that were presumably held in the Subspace's "IRC" page. Let's go over each of these and where exactly they were discovered on the site.

The first chatlog comes from the block of text found on the "Greek Mythos and Spell Casting" page. This was a simple Base32 cipher that translated into the following:

This seems to be a fairly casual conversation between Astral Observatory users. While the exact date is unclear, this conversation presumably took place sometime prior to the players' discovery of Astralobservatory.net on October 24th, 2018 - mainly due to the fact that Yugi is still present. As a reminder, Yugi is a Spanish-speaking member of the Astral Observatory who disappeared at some point before the players had a chance to meet him. He was also another surviving member of the Astral Internet Detectives alongside Moonman and IsocelesAssassin, leading to some speculation that he may actually be the Astral Timeline version of the player Jos...

Additionally, despite the fact that he was falsely portrayed as a malicious villain during the "Pumpkinhead Gamejack", Yugi is very much an ally - something that was stressed by Astral Wolf's spirit. In this chat, Yugi and Moonman seem to be playing some sort of game and occasionally poking fun at Kaiden - much to his dismay.

Kaiden and Moonman get into an argument about the Astral Observatory Forums - each annoyed with the other's posting habits. Interestingly, Moonman mentions a roleplay between Kaiden and Yuukichan that was taking up a large portion of the board - no doubt the same roleplay that was briefly seen in Kaiden's "Adventures of Kaiden Zoromichi" video.

Eventually, Nocta enters the chat and breaks up the fight. However, he quickly changes the subject afterwards:

Nocta asks to speak to Yugi in private - much to Moonman's suspicion...

The next chatlog was discovered inside a broken image. If you'll remember, the "File Directory" contained a few files that wouldn't load properly. One of these files, "hh_(6).png", contained the following chatlog hidden within its code:

[15:31] Nocta: You are still in possession of the gift, correct?

[15:32] Yugi: you mean the songs?

[15:32] Nocta: Yes.

[15:32] Yugi: yup

This seems to be the private conversation between Yugi and Nocta that followed shortly after the previous chatlog. Here, Nocta is seen asking if Yugi still possessed Ocarina powers. This implies that Nocta was well aware of the fact that Yugi was a former Astral Internet Detective - a stark contrast to Moonman and IsocelesAssassin, who Nocta was seemingly oblivious towards.

[15:34] Nocta: There is an essential component of our plan that's missing.

[15:34] Nocta: Our goal lies beyond a door we cannot yet open - and only you hold the key.

Here, Nocta asks Yugi to use The Ocarina to retrieve the Lunar Children servers from the Fishery. As a reminder, the Lunar Children servers were previously retrieved from the Fishery by José back in 2018. This could be suggesting that Yugi and José are actually the same person... However, there still isn't enough information to confirm this just yet. It's also worth pointing out that José was in the Prime Timeline while Yugi was in the Astral Timeline. Additionally, why exactly Nocta required the Lunar Children's servers is unknown...

The next chatlog was discovered on the "Gate" page hidden within its source code:

Here, Yugi seems to be briefing IsocelesAssassin about his private conversation with Nocta up above. Yugi says that his "tactical mission" was a success - possibly referring to some sort of plan between IsocelesAssassin and Yugi to slowly gain Nocta's trust. Now that Nocta is sharing secret plans with Yugi, this has given him and IsocelesAssassin an opportunity to undermine them and gain some valuable information. However, IsocelesAssassin also warns Yugi to not trust Nocta. Despite the fact that Nocta was previously a member of the Astral Internet Detectives back in 2017, he's very dangerous now.

The next chatlog was discovered in another broken file in the "File Directory" - "hh_(11).png".

This seems to be a follow-up to the previous chatlog. Here, Yugi is seemingly about to embark on his mission to retrieve the Lunar Children servers. Interestingly, he jokingly asks IsocelesAssassin for a list of winning lottery numbers. This seems to imply that time travel may be involved in Yugi's mission - perhaps he's using the Ocarina to travel back in time in order to obtain the Lunar Children servers...

However, there could be more to this than simple time travel, as IsocelesAssassin states that "We can't even be sure the same numbers would be winners over there", which could imply that Yugi was actually travelling back in time to a different timeline. If this other timeline is actually the Prime Timeline, this could be further evidence that Yugi is indeed José...

After this, Yugi presumably departed on his mission to retrieve the servers - though many of the details surrounding this journey and the ultimate purpose of obtaining these servers is still a mystery... Sadly, the fact that Yugi has still yet to return may suggest that things didn't go to plan.

The next chatlog was found within a broken image file - "error_file_not.jpg" on the "Open Index" page:

...Thankfully, NotAHoax is perfectly fine - he was simply excited over supposedly seeing a reptilian outside his home. However, it's likely that he had simply seen a trick-or-treater, as this conversation was seemingly taking place on Halloween - something that's supported by the upload date of "alienPROOF.mp4". It seems that inadvertantly uploading fraudulent alien footage to the Subspace was a common occurrence for NotAHoax.

The next chatlog was hidden within the large block of text found on the "Witchcraft" page:

Here, we see the Astral Observatory members welcoming back Kaiden after he was off on some sort of trip or vacation. This conversation presumably takes place around the time Kaiden returned to the forums on November 12th, 2018, explaining his initial absence when the forums first reopened a few weeks prior.

[18:28] Kaiden_Zoromichi: Well, aside from all the new faces.

[18:28] Kaiden_Zoromichi: What's up with that, by the way?

The others catch Kaiden up to speed regarding the presence of the players. Here, Nocta can be seen keeping up the narrative that the players may be responsible for the attack on the Astral Observatory servers - possibly as an attempt to keep the members of the Astral Observatory from getting too comfortable with the Internet Detectives and possibly being drawn to their side.

The next chatlog was hidden within the blocks of text found on the "Temp Folder" page.

Yuukichan and Kaiden seem to be watching an old "Pewdiepie" video together. The video in question is of the game "LSD: Dream Emulator". This was the game that featured the enigmatic "Gray Man" entity - a character that the player Circlehunter - and by extension, IsocelesAssassin - both often used as their avatars. Interestingly, Moonman claims that he's good friends with "The Gray Man" and jokingly calls him an asshole. This could possibly be a reference towards IsocelesAssassin, though this line is still rather suspicious given the fact that there is a character known as "The Gray Man" from 2009...

Strangely, Nocta seemed interested at the mention of "The Gray Man". However, once he discovered that the users were simply talking about a video game, he dismisses it...

The next chatlog was hidden within the block of text found on the "Deleted" page:

[15:12] Moonman31: pretty tame for a DDOS attack 🤔

[15:14] Nocta: I assure you.

[15:14] Nocta: After last night, some valuable information was brought to light.

[15:14] Moonman31: what does THAT mean?

[15:15] Nocta: You'll see soon enough.

[15:16] Nocta: What did I tell you about spamming emojis?

[15:16] Yuukichan: We're baaaack!!!

[15:16] Yuukichan: oh no are the forums ok??

[15:16] Nocta: The forums are fine.

The members of the Astral Observatory are seen discussing a recent DDOS attack. Considering the fact that the forums were said to have survived this attack, this is presumably referring to the DDOS attack on November 24th, 2018 - the one that Nocta vaguely implied that the players were responsible for. Here, Moonman can be seen subtly questioning Nocta's narrative.

Nocta cryptically states that some "valuable information" came to light. This could be referencing the fact that he discovered Moonman's treachery, as this was the same date that Nocta later confronted Moonman and the players in the Safehaven Discord server later that night.

[15:18] Yuukichan: Wait, where's hoaxy?

[15:19] Nocta: After much contemplation, I've decided to not add him back here.

[15:19] Nocta: Please do not let him know the Subspace is still operational.

[15:19] Nocta: He currently believes it was lost during the DDOS attack.

[15:21] Nocta: The truth he seeks is not our own.

Strangely, Nocta tells the others to not let NotAHoax know that the Subspace is back online. It seems that Nocta has lost faith in NotAHoax, believing that he's not truly loyal enough to be worthy of the Subspace. He claims that NotAHoax is too committed to his own beliefs and suffers from "confirmation bias" - no doubt a reference to NotAHoax's unwavering belief in alien-oriented conspiracies.

The final chatlog was discovered on the "Ember" page hidden within the massive block of text made up of "Rem" and "Ember".

[15:23] Yuukichan: Moonie's gone too???

[15:24] Nocta: He has been leaking confidential information to the detectives.

[15:24] Nocta: This is a clear violation of our rules.

[15:24] Yuukichan: but...

[15:24] Nocta: As cut and dry as it can get, really.

[15:24] Yuukichan: what if he was just trying to get them on our side??

[15:24] Yuukichan: like give them some juicy information so they want more

[15:24] Yuukichan: you know?

[15:25] Nocta: Unfortunately, that was not the case.

[15:25] Nocta: If it was, I may have been more forgiving towards his actions.

This conversation took place at some point after Nocta confronted Moonman and kicked him out of the Subspace. This brought the number of active Subspace users down to three - Nocta, Yuukichan, and Kaiden.

To summarize everything we've learned from this:

Summary: Unlike IsocelesAssassin and Moonman, the fact that Yugi was a former Astral Internet Detective was not a secret. Yugi supposedly earned Nocta's trust, resulting in Nocta giving him a special mission - using The Ocarina to go back in time and retrieve the Lunar Children servers from the Fishery. While the ultimate purpose of doing this is still a mystery, this gave Yugi and IsocelesAssassin an opportunity to foil Nocta's plans. This could hint that Yugi is actually José - the individual who retrieved the Lunar Children servers back in 2018. This would imply that Yugi somehow travelled from the Astral Timeline over to the Prime Timeline, though the detail surrounding this are still unclear. Unfortunately, Yugi still has yet to return to the Astrla Observatory Forums, implying that something may have happened to him.

A good deal of casual conversation also took place in the Subspace's chatroom. While this was mainly banter amongst the various members, some interesting details came to light - such as the fact that Nocta seemed to be interested in "The Gray Man" from 2009. Additionally, NotAHoax was eventually kicked from the Subspace at one point - presumably because he was too focused on his UFO conspiracies to fully accept the more Luna-oriented teachings.

On April 22nd, 2020, Greth's account began exhibiting some strange activity

BUP has now taken complete control of Greth's Discord account, cutting off what little communication the players held with Greth. He acknowledges that the players have learned about his past through GHOSTBABEL, though he doesn't seem too bothered by it - he claims he'll continue his Aggregation - presumably to both Prime Greth and the other Greths across different timelines.

Afterwards, BUP posted two audio files - "Xafpjo_olfr.wav" and "NIGHTFALL.mp3".

These were both posted as April 23rd drew near - along with the return of Johnisdead.com. Accompanying this was a message from the IIIII account:

"At long last. Your new lens of truth."

This was similar to a message that was previously discovered on Johnisdead.com back in 2015 - a message that accompanied the discovery to JanusVR...

As the timer on Astralobservatory.net reached zero, April 23rd, 2020 had arrived. The "Gate" page had changed:
