Story (Full) 27
The story so far...
In the previous section, the strange activity on the Silentdork YouTube channel continued. Just as before, it seemed as though two separate entities were speaking through it while fighting for control. These two entities consisted of a malicious, destructive entity dubbed the "Mask Entity", and a more benevolent entity dubbed the "Rune Entity". Meanwhile, a strange version of Tyler joined the Internet Detectives Discord server under the username "Tyler00". Tyler00 seemed to be lost in a forest-like section of the Parallelos. Unfortunately, it wasn't long before this account was seemingly overtaken by the Mask Entity.
Afterwards, a Discord account that Tyler previously used for out-of-character interactions suddenly became active. This account was now named "IIIII" and was suddenly being utilized by both the Mask and Rune Entities. Through a series of hints and messages spread out across Discord messages and YouTube comments, the players were finally able to regain access to Johnisdead.com. Unfortunately, the Rune Entity wasn't able to hold the website open for very long before it was locked again. He claimed that he was currently behind something called the "Bris Gate" and that he missed the players. He also gave the players a code word that supposedly only he and John ever used - "O.s.i.K.". He told the players that the could find the "real" him by using this.
At this point, many players speculated that the Rune Entity was actually some alternate version of Tyler due to the many similarities between the two... Meanwhile, the players discovered that the Mask Entity was actually Tenebris. Additionally, the players learned that each individual "I" within "IIIII" seemingly represented a different character. Over time, they learned that "I" was Tenebris and that "IIII" was the Rune Entity. Meanwhile, "II" was behind something called a "Nullstorm", whereas "III" was sleeping somewhere in the Parallelos. Despite these discoveries, how exactly all these different characters were connected and their true identities was still a mystery...
Later on, Tenebris managed to trick the players into teaching him how to read Elder Futhark runes - something that the Rune Entity was previously using to give the players hidden messages. After this, Tenebris seemingly attacked the Rune Entity. Thankfully, the players were able to rescue him by warping Tenebris away with the "Song of Soaring". Afterwards, the Rune Entity thanked the players and claimed that his true identity was "Another-" - likely "Another Tyler". However, before he could explain further, he departed to partake in some sort of ceremony to purge the darkness within himself.
Meanwhile, with the help of IsocelesAssassin and GHOSTBABEL, the players rescued Moonman from his imprisonment within the Subspace. However, doing so allowed a mysterious orange-colored entity to enter their world...

Story
Before continuing, please note the following:
Notice: In this following section of the story, several entities intentionally attempt to confuse the players by posting misleading and contradictory messages. Additionally, the story becomes a bit more complex due to it exploring more meta concepts that toy with the relationship between canon and non-canon aspects of the ARG. Please keep this in mind and refer to the next story page's summary of this one if needed.
On August 30th, 2019, the player Wolfcat suddenly submitted a ten hour long version of the "Song of Storms". The purpose behind this was unknown... Shortly afterwards, Moonman and GHOSTBABEL began chatting with the players:
Everything was cool here and suddenly we got all these hurricane warnings today
Florida is used to hurricanes, just not so unexpectedly as this
you think the song of storms summoned a hurricane?
It seems as though the player Wolfcat's submission had a rather sudden and disastrous effect - there was now a hurricane headed towards Florida. However, the players noticed that there was also a hurricane headed towards Florida in the Prime Timeline as well...
it feels like its not a coincidence though - the timing is too perfect
do you think someone is trying to get us?
Doesn’t seem like Wolf would do that :\
It was true - the players had noticed several oddities with the player Wolfcat over the past few days... Most of these began on the same date that GHOSTBABEL restored Astralobservatory.net. On this date, Wolfcat's avatar suddenly changed to a distorted Jack-o-lantern texture from the game Minecraft. This was accompanied with him posting the song titled "Cat" from the same game.
Additionally, a mysterious locked blog post titled "Connections" appeared on Meatouchers.com - a website that Wolfcat used to host his webcomic, "Weenie-Licked". As mentioned previously, Weenie-Licked was a comic that centered around the Within Hubris community that was previously referenced within Johnisdead.
Regardless, the players questioned Moonman further:
...That reminds me. Moonman, it was mentioned to us that you think there’s a traitor in our midst. Why do you think that?
they were from the ID discord mainly
Moonman claims that the "Internet Detectives" thread on The Truth board used to archive various Discord conversations from the players. He used to believe that Nocta was receiving these chatlogs from a traitor amongst the players.

GHOSTBABEL speculates that the sudden appearance of these two hurricanes is somehow a result of the players restoring Astralobservatory.net. As they mentioned previously, doing this would potentially invite dangerous entities into their realm and lead to disastrous consequences...
Regardless, the players were all very suspicious of their fellow Internet Detective, Wolfcat. Later that day, the player Jos submitted the "Mask of Truth" and began questioning him:
As a reminder, "Gamejacking" is when a player hijacks a story by pretending to be canon and misleading the players. Here, Wolfcat is proclaiming his innocence despite all of the oddities surrounding him...
Later that night, the strange activity on Discord continued when Greth's out-of-character account suddenly became active - similar to Tyler's out-of-character account before him. Here, Greth stated the following:
who here actually believes in magic?
you dont need to draw the actual face - just a sun will do

This interaction was fairly strange for the players... At first, many believed it was non-canon because it involved Greth's out-of-character account. Regardless, the version of Greth speaking here is clearly not the Greth from the Prime Timeline - that one is currently possessed by Patrem. Additionally, it's not Moonman - if it were, he'd just be using his normal Moonman Discord account. So, who exactly this Greth was and his level of canonicity was a mystery at the time... For now, we'll simply refer to him as "Greth"" - with quotes.
Regardless, "Greth" was currently asking the players to draw a "Spell Circle" - a magical symbol that can supposedly manifest a variety of different outcomes depending on how its drawn. This spell circle in particular featured the sun god - Helios, and the intent behind it was to ward off the hurricanes currently heading towards Florida.
In response, several players submitted their own drawings of "Greth's" spell circle:
On August 31st, 2019, Moonman gave the players an update regarding the hurricane:

I mean good now that I won’t get eaten by a giant storm
Moonman reveals that the hurricane is indeed moving away from Florida, confirming that the players' spell circles worked.

GHOSTBABEL refers to invoking Helios with the spell circle as "Using The Ocarina manually". This implies that its possible to preform magic without The Ocarina - The Ocarina just streamlines the process.
Also, GHOSTBABEL and their allies are still working on granting the players access to the Subspace. Unfortunately, they've encountered a small problem - one that they do not wish to share with the players because they feel it would cause a panic... Regardless, GHOSTBABEL offers to share a piece of the plan with one of the players - someone who they feel they can trust. Ultimately, they decide that the player Jos can be trusted with the information. Accepting this decision, GHOSTBABEL proceeds to share the plan with Jos:
ɢʜᴏsᴛʙᴀʙᴇʟ
"ᴛʜᴇ ʙᴏᴍʙ ᴘʟᴀɴs ᴡɪʟʟ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ᴛᴏ ʙᴇ ᴘᴏsᴛᴇᴅ ɪɴ ᴛʜᴇ ᴛʀᴜᴛʜ. ᴛʜɪs ᴡɪʟʟ ᴄʀᴇᴀᴛᴇ ᴛʜᴇ ᴏᴘᴇɴɪɴɢ ɴᴇᴄᴇssᴀʀʏ ғᴏʀ ʏᴏᴜ ᴛᴏ ᴀᴄᴄᴇss ᴛʜᴇ ᴇɴᴛɪʀᴇ ʀᴇsᴛ ᴏғ ᴛʜᴇ sᴜʙsᴘᴀᴄᴇ, ᴛʜʀᴏᴜɢʜ ᴡʜɪᴄʜ ʏᴏᴜ ᴡɪʟʟ ʙᴇ ᴀʙʟᴇ ᴛᴏ ᴇɴᴛᴇʀ ᴊᴏʜɴɪsᴅᴇᴀᴅ. ᴘᴏᴡᴇʀ ɪs ʙᴇɪɴɢ ᴀᴄᴄᴜᴍᴜʟᴀᴛᴇᴅ, ᴡᴇ ᴍᴜsᴛ ʙᴇ ᴄᴀᴜᴛɪᴏᴜs."
GHOSTBABEL finally reveals the plan that they, IsocelesAssassin, and some other unknown allies have been working on to grant the players access to the Subspace. Eventually, a player will have to post the "Bomb Plans" within The Truth board on the Astral Observatory Forums. What exactly these "Bomb Plans" are is unknown, though its likely a reference to the Bomb Plans that were posted on Letschasethemouse by ARGdov back in 2015. Regardless, doing this will allow the players to access the Subspace. Afterwards, they'll be able to regain access to Johnisdead.com as well.
Shortly afterwards, "Greth" once again became active:
I don't think that was ever supposed to be mentioend in jid
because the one who did it was greth - but greth out-of-character
In response, "Greth" simply posted a strange image titled "metatroncube.gif".

For reference, the "Metatron Cube" is a piece of sacred geometry from Jewish mysticism. Its name is a reference to the angel Metatron and it is often used to depict structures and patterns within our universe:

However, why exactly "Greth" was suddenly referencing this symbol was a mystery... Regardless, this odd response seemingly confirmed that these interactions were meant to be canon to some extent.
Afterwards, "Greth" posted another image - this one was titled "aggregationofthemeta.gif".

This image's name once again mentioned the word "Meta". However, whereas the previous use of "Meta" was in reference to the angel "Metatron", this use of "Meta" is most likely referring to the more conventional use of "Meta" - that being something that is self-referential in nature.
For clarity, something that would be considered "Meta" is a character in a book acknowledging the fact that they are within a story. Another meta statement would be me, the person currently writing this Johnisdead Wiki page, acknowledging the fact that this is a Johnisdead Wiki page. These would be considered "Meta" because they're clearly self-referential to their own medium - specifically in ways that "break the fourth wall" and tow the line between canon and non-canon.
It's likely that this mention of "Meta" was referencing the vagueness surrounding "Greth's" canonicity.
The other interesting word in this filename is "Aggregation" - a word we've seen several times throughout Johnisdead. Essentially, "Aggregation" is the act of bringing several separate things into one singular thing - similar to "Fusion". However, what exactly "Aggregation of the meta" means is unknown. Regardless, both of these terms will be important going forwards.
Afterwards, "Greth" posted the following:
"Greth" posts a strange symbol that he refers to as his "Power Rune" - ")()()()()(".
As if things weren't confusing enough, "Greth" began posting in the Safehaven Discord server as well:
wait
mindfuck
is that actually greth
isn’t that like inherently a bad idea
it also fucks with me on so many levels
i want to meme but i’m freaked out
"Greth" begins interacting with Moonman, confusing everyone involved. Moonman is understandably confused because the only other Greth he was aware of was from the Prime Timeline and possessed by Patrem. However, this "Greth" is clearly neither of those things...
perhaps you should all aggregate your thoughts
I mean, am I your Greth?
or is your greth here now?
fuck off with that
honestly
Everything is great.
Strangely, "Greth" claims that he remembers filming the videos found on Greth Vlogs. However, this is confusing because he is clearly not possessed by Patrem. Also, he is very clearly not acting like the Greth the players all knew...
I am Greth PRIME, or whatever
"Greth" proceeds to refer to himself as "Greth PRIME". However, this is likely meant to be a reference to the actual definition of "Prime" - "of first importance; main.", rather than a reference to the "Prime Timeline".
Around this same time, "Greth" posted another image - one that was simply titled "meta.gif".

Moonman is clearly disturbed by all of this - and understandably so. "Greth's" sudden appearance and identity was a very confusing subject for players. At the time, some even believed that he wasn't canon at all and was simply a meta joke on the behalf of the GM's. Regardless, "Meta" seemed to be an important aspect of "Greth", and despite the fact that he claimed to have filmed Greth Vlogs, it was still implied that this "Greth" was NOT the Prime Timeline version of Greth.
The oddities continued later that night with the following strange interaction:
containment

thats ok, let him
For context, this strange
image was an emoji titled "Dream" that Wolfcat often posted. It was inspired by a meme of a blank-faced child dancing to the song "Out Of My League" by Fitz and the Tantrums:
Strangely, Wolfcat now seems to be referring to the Dream Emoji as if it were a sentient being who "broke free". Shortly afterwards, "Greth" arrives and contains the Dream Emoji using his aforementioned power runes. This doesn't work for long though as the Dream Emoji seems to flee once again, though Wolfcat allows him to this time...
Meanwhile, the players begin interrogating "Greth" further:
you've all been there?
i mean not physically - internet
I’m uncertain if we’re getting trolled.
Afterwards, "Greth" posts the following distorted image of his face:

there's a lot of samsara up in here
"Greth" mentions Samsara, which is the Hindu concept of the cycle of death and rebirth. This word was also previously used as the filename for a distorted image of Moonman within the Subspace... However, its relevance here is unknown.
Later that night, another password protected blog post appeared on Meatouchers.com from Wolfcat - this one was titled "Work in progress...".
On September 2nd, 2019, "Greth" initiated a voice call in the Safehaven Discord server. Here, the audio "brokencycles.mp3" from Johnisdead.com began playing as "Greth" spoke in an unintelligible, demonic voice. In an attempt to better understand him, the player Jos submitted the "Bunny Hood". However, this only resulted in "Greth" sending two distorted image - "cube3.gif" and "thales.gif". Unfotunately, neither of these images were archived.
Shortly afterwards, "Greth" sent an audio file - "newpathsopening.mp3", which seemed to be a reversed song... The player Slinky took it upon themselves to "solve" this audio file by reversing it and posting it into the Discord chat. However, after posting it, they quickly realized that it was actually the "Elegy of Emptiness", meaning that the player Slinky had accidentally submitted the "Elegy of Emptiness" a second time... In response, "Greth" posted the image "FINALCLEARINGOFTHEPATH.gif" - a distorted version of the painting "Diana and Endymion" by Francesco Solimena. Interestingly, this painting depicts a Roman moon goddess named Diana.

On September 3rd, 2019, the IIIII account became active and sent a fairly long message to the player Scout. We'll cover this message piece by piece:
just wanted you to know
the "return" has still not really happened
but IIIII already said when it will
if you can crack the code of IIII you will be one step closer to witnessing I and II awakening III for the freedom of IIII onward into IIIII
look back to the first / /
Given the tone of this message, it's likely coming from the Rune Entity. Here, the Rune Entity mentions some sort of "Return" that will happen later on. They claim that this "Return" will involve Tenebris and "II" awakening "III". As a reminder, "II" is someone who is behind a Nullstorm whereas "III" is someone who is sleeping in the Parallelos. Awakening "III" will somehow lead to the Rune Entity's freedom "onward into IIIII", though what exactly this means is unclear...
As for when this "Return" will take place, the Rune Entity tells the player to refer back to the first "/ /" - possibly referring to the first date he gave to the players - October 31st, 2019.
it will bee a long time before I can speak again now but I have told you these things
but I can technically still say stuff to you for now because your not awake so you dont know any of this yet
I can only talk to you like this because you dont know so they cant know
but once you know buddy I gotta go
you have not been around as much so it created a window that gave it a blind spot on your end
Im sorry I cant be more clear
some things break too many rules and then I'd best hope IM in a place where I can sit and be quiet.
The Rune Entity claims that the reason he can speak so clearly to the player Scout is because they have been relatively inactive and are "not awake". What exactly this means is unclear, but it possibly refers to the player not being as up-to-date on current events with the ARG. This as created a blind spot within Tenebris surrounding this player.
Im IIII
and if everything goes right this will all be over soon
tell everyone and the boys I said hello
Also some guy named jeremy says hello
and a girl (I think?)
A lot of people really
Gotta find a hiding place for the night but Ill talk to you again somehow my brother
The Rune Entity informs the players that Jeremy and a girl say hello - most likely referring to Rosa, as the two were last seen allied together in the Parallelos in 2016. At the very least, this confirms that the two are still active and most likely safe.
Later on, Moonman once again began chatting with the players. He was rather confused about the strange files sent by "Greth" previously:
i recognize that image
it’s a painting
yeah i was gonna say that
what the fuck
ok well
weird
Strangely, "Greth" seems to know what Moonman is going to say before he even says it and uses this to finish his sentences for him.
Afterwards, Moonman points out several strange comments that were posted by the Greth Vlogs account. These all contained ciphers that translated to the following:
Greth Vlogs
"We are going much deeper even now. The power of quintessence - three parts of a whole. What will you do when everything ends? Will you await for it to take you? Will you fight?"
This comment cryptically refers to "three parts" and the "power of quintessence". In this case, "quintessence" could possible be referring to five separate essences. Alternatively, it could simply be referring to "quintessential", as in perfection... What exactly this is referring to is unknown, however.
Shortly afterwards, GHOSTBABEL joined the discussion.

GHOSTBABEL informs the players that there is currently an ascended spirit within Astralobservatory.net - Yuukichan. Her presence there is somehow corrupting the website, making GHOSTBABEL's task of granting the players access to the Subspace more difficult. Because of this, GHOSTBABEL suggests transferring Yuukichan's spirit to Johnisdead.com instead.
Afterwards, the Rune Entity posted several strange images. The first was titled "calling.gif" and contained a distorted green room with an "Othila" or "ᛟ" rune on the wall, designating "home". Afterwards, an image of a journal is posted. This journal contained runes that translated to "SCOUT JOS HEARD SECRETS", referring to the important messages that the Rune Entity sent to the players Jos and Scout previously.
The Rune Entity also posted two distorted screenshots of the Discord profiles of the players Xenquility and Jos. These screenshots both contained text that read as follows:
Watch closer.
Please dont hurt them.
You hate them.
IIII I want him to find IIIII
IIIII speaks through accidents
These once again allude to the mysterious individual represented by all five lines, "IIIII", and claims that they somehow "speak through accidents". Additionally, this is another reference to the Rune Entity wanting to somehow "find" or "go to" all five lines - "IIIII".
On September 11th, 2019, a new video was suddenly uploaded to Silentdork - "IIII".

This video simply features three runes sitting atop a board with a Valknut on it.
The three runes on the board are "ᛃᛁᛇ", or "JIEW".
Summary
- This short video simply consists of the runes "ᛃᛁᛇ", or "JIEW" sitting on a board.
Given this video's title and the presence of runes, this upload was most likely from the Rune Entity. Here, the Rune Entity shows three runes sitting on a board which spell out "ᛃᛁᛇ", or "JIEW". However, the meaning behind these runes is unknown. Also, the "Thank You" found within this video's tags is most likely a reference to a joke amongst the Within Hubris community - one that involved the players tricking Jadusable into claiming that he was "Hella thankful" that the September 11th attacks took place on the World Trade Center.
On October 10th, 2019, GHOSTBABEL cryptically asked the following:
A couple days later, the players would receive an answer - Yuukichan suddenly joined the Safehaven Discord server. Strangely, her username and the text within her messages were all flipped upside down - possibly a sign of her odd, ascended state. Upon joining the chat, Yuukichan posted four images - most of which seemed to be distorted versions of her avatar:
Afterwards, Yuukichan shares a song with the players:
For some reason, Yuukichan tells the players to remember the song "Duvet" by Bôa for "for safe keeping". Additionally, she warns them to be aware of some sort of Jack-o-lantern entity... Shortly afterwards, the players noticed that Wolfcat had left a comment on this same song:
This seemed to be a reference to the "Dream Emoji" meme from before...
On October 14th, 2019, Yuukichan began chatting with the players and once again sent several images:
These images seem to be depicting a strange entity that is supposedly spreading and watching the players - possibly the same entity Yuukichan warned about that's represented by a Jack-o-lantern emoji... Afterwards, Yuukichan once again share another song for the players to save:
Once again, the players discovered that Wolfcat had left a comment on this video:
This pattern continued on October 15th, 2019 as Yuukichan shared four more images:
These images depicted the same entity as before. However, the entity's singular spike now seemed to be splitting in two, making it look a bit similar to cat ears... Yuukichan also shared another song:
On October 20th, 2019, the Rune Entity became active and sent the audio "ritual.mp3". It also sent an old screenshot of Jadusable's YouTube channel titled "rytbu.png".

Interestingly, this screenshot featured two YouTube comments that read "my name is matt...and im scared as fuck" and "Remember, no videos. We don't know whether we're dreaming or awake.".
The players notice that the Rune Entity has changed how he is using his runes - likely due to the players teaching Tenebris how to use his previous ones. The Rune Entity explains that he changed his code so that when "III" dreams, "II" can use it and Tenebris can not. Exactly how and why "III" is dreaming these runes is unknown, though...

Here, the Rune Entity posts a cryptic message regarding time being undone at the "start and end" of something. Afterwards, he posts a set of runes relating to the player Wolfcat. The exact meaning behind these runes is unknown. However, they seem to be separating "Wolfcat" into "Wolf" and "Cat", with "Wolf" up above and "Cat" down below.
Afterwards, the Rune Entity posted an odd image of some police tape titled "approaching_the_waters.png", though the significance of this is unknown...

Afterwards, they posted a corrupted image of Regiminis titled "kevi.gif":

Here, the Rune Entity claims that Regiminis is simply a pawn. Despite seeking power for himself, he is somehow only empowering Tenebris...
The strange activity continued on October 21st, 2019, when the IIIII account posted a strange, green image titled "I.jpg". It then proceeded to post a photo containing the mannequin entity from before titled "family.jpg".
Shortly afterwards, the IIIII account send the link to an unlisted video on a YouTube channel titled "Quiet Family". This video was titled "stop and don't watch this" and it had actually been uploaded four years prior on April 17th, 2015.

This video simply consists of strange sounds and static, digital-like imagery.
Summary
- This video simply contains distorted, digital imagery.
While there isn't much to the actual contents of this video, its description reveals some very interesting information... The description is written by someone who has a brother named Sam. Because of this, it's very likely that this is a message from Max. Here, Max claims that SKM left him inside something so that he could speak with the players - presumably within the Bullet Necklace. Additionally, Max claims that SKM is now walking in the "forest of the masks", though what exactly this is referring to is unknown...
Further exploration of the Quiet Family YouTube channel revealed the existence of a playlist titled "time fractures". This playlist contained a single video - an upload titled "wtf is this thing" that was originally uploaded on May 5th, 2018.

"Enhanced"
Unedited footage from the end of "Greth Vlogs 6(?)" is shown where an entity can be seen taking off a white mask.
"Enhanced"
The same footage plays again, but it is now brighter. The final scene of the entity plays repeatedly.
Summary
- This video simply shows a brighter version of the masked entity seen at the end of "Greth Vlogs 6(?)".
This video contained a slightly brightened version of the video "Greth Vlogs 6(?)" - almost as if it were from a player who was attempting to investigate the footage. This is because it technically was. This video was originally uploaded by Tyler himself during a time when he was acting out-of-character and investigating Greth's upload alongside the players. However, this was viewed as completely non-canon at the time. This video's sudden return in its own classification of being a "time fracture" seems to be yet another example of "canon" and "non-canon" being mixed together as Johnisdead begins toying with more meta-related elements...
Meanwhile, the "IIIII" account posted a corrupted photo of what appeared to be a pendant with runes on it:

On October 26th, 2019, Yuukichan once again became active and began chatting with the players - this time in a way that was far more coherent:
sorry
no need to hide for he is here
but the time for others still approaches
🎃
it is both he and the time
Here, Yuukichan claims that the Jack-o-lantern entity is already present. Additionally, she claims that the Jack-o-lantern also refers to a "time" - likely referring to Halloween on October 31st, 2019, a date that has been brought up repeatedly lately.
Afterwards, Yuukichan gives the players another "gift" - another link to a song:
they are close
they are an old foe aggregating across parallelos
scout will know
tyler trusts scout
scout knows the 🎃
For some reason, Yuukichan claims that the player Scout should be familiar with the Jack-o-lantern entity... She claims that this entity is an old foe from the past.
question for wolf
why wouldnt i be
times running out
Yuukichan suddenly asks the player Wolfcat if he's safe. He claims that he is. Afterwards, Yuukichan posts the following image:

my energy is lightning brief and inconsistent
it works against us and they are fighting us
the secrets lie in the past present and future
there are those who have besieged you long past those who work against against you now and those threats that are yet to come
the entire history of the detectives is escalating to the finale but i cannot say where and when but the time is coming for the observatory
your current mission regarding the observatory site is nearing its end
what happens is unclear and also clear but i cannot say how as unhelpful as that is
the more conscious i am the more i can bring my personality back
in an opportunity so rare i just want you all to know
(⋟﹏⋞)
i really really miss you all
tell kaiden im sorry and he shouldnt beat himself up anymore
I wasn’t around back then, but for what it’s worth, I’m sorry about what happened to you.
We’ll make sure it won’t happen to anyone else.
Yuukichan claims that the players mission regarding Astralobservatory.net is nearing its end. Additionally, she claims that more of her personality is slowly beginning to return. During this brief moment, she says that she misses the players and says that Kaiden shouldn't blame himself for what happened to her.
Going off of what Yuukichan told them, the Internet Detectives proceeded to seek out their fellow player, Scout, who confirmed that he was quite familiar with this Jack-o-lantern entity.

The Jack-o-lantern entity in question was most likely Pumpkinhead - an antagonist that previously appeared in a separate ARG that Wolfcat was the GM of.
This ARG mainly took place in the Internet Detectives' Minecraft Server back around 2017. During the events of this ARG, the player Wolfcat was presumably killed and ascended into a spirit that called itself "CAT". CAT would occasionally haunt players in the Minecraft server by playing the in-game song "Cat", randomly striking them while invisible, and spawning in strange blocks. Over time, the players realized that CAT was actually being controlled by a separate entity called "Pumpkinghead". As the name suggests, Pumpkinhead had a Jack-o-lantern for a head and was likely responsible for CAT acting so maliciously. Further investigation revealed that Pumpkinhead was somehow involved with the worship of a dark god known as Null. However, any details beyond this are lost to time.
While the events of this ARG are not canon to Johnisdead, it was now heavily implied that Pumpkinhead himself was... Needless to say, all of this made the players even more suspicious of Wolfcat.
On October 27th, 2019, Yuukichan shared another song with the players:
The next day on October 28th, 2019, Yuukichan continued chatting:
ill answer questions as best as i cant for now
Yuukichan informs the players that they cannot stop what's about to happen on Halloween - they can only hope to deal with the aftermath. She then posts another song:
can you trust what they say?
those you speak to?
segment your thoughts
process
this castle will crumble
Yuukichan cryptically warns the players that "this castle will crumble". Shortly afterwards, she links to a "Watch2gether" room - a website where players can watch YouTube videos together. Here, an unknown user links to a never before seen video on the Quiet Family YouTube channel - "lostinforest". Unfortunately, this video was not archived. However, it seemed to simply contain footage of a strange, green environment. This might suggest that the various "forests" that have been referenced throughout the ARG are actually referring to the Parallelos...
Afterwards, "Greth" once again became active and taunted the players:
someone ping upd8 so someone can wake up tomorrow and decipher this madness
Do you feel you deserve such rewards?
That is smart.
Well I feel you have been given as much ground as you have earned.
Consider this though
Is it natural for those who have 'passed' to interact with those 'present'?
Would that be easy or difficult?
Reap what thou sow.
You'll hear from me again soon.
Because you obviously aren't Greth.
What
You
Sow
"Greth" cryptically warns the player otherLiam that they will reap what they sow. They also confirm that they are not Patrem, meaning "Greth's" identity is still a mystery... Before departing, they post the following image:

On October 29th, 2019, Yuukichan contacted the players again:
He was fine and shitposting earlier today.
Strangely, Yuukichan asks if the player Jos is okay. Thankfully, Jos was fine, making the reasoning behind her sudden concern unknown... Shortly afterwards, GHOSTBABEL appears, startling Yuukichan:
jos i miss you
Yuukichan suggests that the players should reach out to José. She also claims that she misses the player Jos... During this conversation, Yuukichan also posted a link to an unlisted video on Greth Vlogs titled "password". Unfortunately, this video was not archived. However, it simply consisted of a short clip of Greth smoking in a dark environment.
Afterwards, Yuukichan linked the players to yet another song:
Around this same time, in a very strange moment, Yuukichan's username suddenly changed to "IIII" as she posted a screenshot from a comment from a Roblox user named "XGameFinisherX" that read "Thank you Wolfcat, very cool!". Yuukichan's username reverted back to normal shortly afterwards, leaving this brief action a bit of a mystery...
The strange occurrences didn't end there, however. In the Safehaven Discord Server, "Greth's" username suddenly changed to "pциїsнёd gяєтн". Additionally, their avatar changed to the character "Punished Snake" from the game Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain. This is how the Prime Timeline Greth had his username and avatar set up back when he was a player in 2016 on Skype... However, for the sake of clarity and readability, we'll simply keep the names and avatars on this page the same as they were previously.
what
ok
@CircleHunter, listen so, I'm going to do it
I'm kind of nervous but
no
I'm talking about driving up there
to find what was buried
It seems that not only had the username and avatar on Greth's account reverted back to 2016 - the Prime Timeline version of Greth from 2016 was also now speaking through the account as well.
The discussion taking place here is a reference to an event that occurred back on Skype in 2016. During the middle of Youshouldnthavedonethat.net's revival, the players were given some coordinates that pointed towards a pond near the Fishery. The only player who was close enough to travel to them was Greth, as he lived in Florida. While there was some discussion about Greth potentially traveling to these coordinates, nothing was ever fully established or confirmed... However, it seems we're now finally seeing more of this plan.
just the internet detectives?
there’s something hidden near a lake by the fishery and it turns out i am closest
but there’s always people in and out of these groups
Greth, do you remember anything from last night?
then three of us were chosen by J to be a circle
Greth confirms that he's currently speaking from the year 2016 - specifically on July 29th, which was right around the same time he took part in Jeremy's "Circle of Three".
As if things weren't confusing enough already, Moonman's account suddenly began doing the same thing as "Greth's". However, instead of it being named "Punished Greth", Moonman's account was renamed to "𝖁𝖊𝖓𝖔𝖒 𝕲𝖗𝖊𝖙𝖍". This was a reference to an alternate name for "Punished Snake" from Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain - Venom Snake. Given the fact that Moonman is from an alternate timeline, it's fitting that his username from 2016 would have been based off of an alternate version of Snake's name.
who are you?
If you don't mind, could you tell me the date?
weird question
It seems as though Greth from the Prime Timeline and Astral Timeline were both speaking from the exact same date in the past - July 29th, 2016.
I thought I made it pretty clear last night
or was that two nights ago now?
we stay up too late.
i already apologized
everyone got fucking mad
I had some fucked logic theory about how posting song of healing was a good idea
anyways i thought it was my idea
as soon as i posted it i felt different and knew i had screwed up
lo and behold drama shitstormed ensued and now
well I need time away from ID
it's up to the three now anyways
Who are the three, then?
Velvet, Spanosa, and Mugen
a mistake if you ask me
It seems that Greth and Moonman had some fairly interesting differences back in 2016. First of all, Moonman claims that he submitted the "Song of Healing" on Youshouldnthavedonethat.net. This supposedly led to some in-fighting and drama that resulted in him spending some time away from the Internet Detectives. This seems to suggest that the rogue player who was impersonating Greth in 2016 to submit the "Song of Healing" was actually a Greth from a separate timeline - Moonman... Regardless, because Moonman wasn't an active player at the time, someone else got chosen to participate in Jeremy's "Circle of Three" instead - the player Mugen Kagemaru. Interestingly, unlike his Prime Timeline counterpart, Moonman makes no mention of travelling to the coordinates found on Youshouldnthavedonethat.net...
Around this same time, a strange text channel appeared in the Safehaven Discord server - "ᚸremsᚻᛟᛚ", which roughly translates to "ᚸ rems hole". The players had also been given the "Ark" user role which granted them access to this text channel. However, the purpose of this was a mystery...
Later that night, the two alternate versions of Greth from 2016 began chatting at the same time:
if you don’t mind, could you give a quick list of the currently-active ID’s?
on uh
we had made a ton of progress and it was really late
and we probably coulda kept going but after the healing song it went offline
as far as i know it might still be offline
you ever fap to some weird shit convinced this is your life now
and then right after you finish you have existential regret
it was like that
Here, Moonman simply gives some more context surrounding his submission of the "Song of Healing". He claimed that he believed it was a good decision at the time but immediately came to regret it, as it supposedly caused Youshouldnthavedonethat.net to go offline. However, it's likely that this was just a small setback considering the fact that the players were able to reach The Truth in the Astral Timeline regardless. Also, for a brief moment, the Prime Timeline version of Greth briefly speaks in Moonman's place in the conversation above. However, neither of them seem to notice or acknowledge this...
Over the past month, the situation surrounding Greth had only grown more and more confusing. However, looking at it from the most simplistic standpoint, there are currently only three different versions of Greth:
- Prime Greth - Greth from the Prime Timeline. This is the Greth who the players knew personally. He eventually started the Greth Vlogs channel and met Tyler before becoming possessed by Patrem. He hasn't been heard from in quite some time. In 2016, he was involved in the "Circle of Three" and was planning on visiting some coordinates that led to a pond near the Fishery.
- Moonman - Greth from the Astral Timeline. The players first met this Greth on the Astral Observatory Forums. He has many similarities with Prime Greth. However, he never started Greth Vlogs, never met Tyler, and never became possessed by Patrem. Additionally, he was never in the "Circle of Three" and he presumably was not planning on visiting the coordinates.
- "Greth" - A callous, taunting version of Greth. This version of Greth's origins are unknown. Many of his statements seem contradictory and cryptic. He also makes many strange references to "Aggregation" and "The Meta".
Meanwhile, the date that had been alluded to so often, October 31st, 2019, was rapidly approaching. With the players enemies growing in number and their moment-to-moment communication growing ever more complex, the Internet Detectives needed to remain alert lest they be overtaken by some unseen enemy...
