The story so far...
In the previous section, Tyler encountered the "Weird Guy" - an otherworldly being who was seemingly teleporting around his town. Upon arriving home, he found papers on his doorstep that were adorned with moon goddesses and symbols. This was a clear sign to the players that the Lunar Children were now targeting him. This was followed by various strange occurrences happening around his home. These included his power going on and off, his home phone becoming disconnected, and his doors opening and closing on their own - all signs of paranormal activity.
Matt had returned, now a high-ranking Lunar Child. He was now overseeing the reconstruction of Lunarchildren.com as it was slowly being updated with the cult's beliefs. These included many cryptic terms such as ascended spirits called "Eulogies", servants of Luna called "Absque Facie", a taboo, ascended individual called the "Deuro", another term for November 11th, 2011, "Undecim Nocte", and a malicious trickster who uses ascended spirits as vessels called "Tenebris".
Tenebris had supposedly been using an individual called the "First Eulogy" as his vessel - that is, up until Undecim Nocte. Here, he lost control of the First Eulogy and instead began using the Deuro as a vessel instead. The players also learned more about the term Parallelos, which is seemingly used to refer to various different realms or dimensions. The Lunar Children believe that these Parallelos can be navigated via ascension and that Luna dwells in a special Parallelos of her own.
SKM once again contacted the players. While he was working on fixing some of Tyler's issues, he divulged more of his past. He and his younger brother visited their grandparents in Florida in 2011. During this time, SKM's younger brother was an avid user of Within Hubris where he supposedly spoke to Patrem. Sadly, this led to him being lured out to a local park where he was presumably kidnapped by the Lunar Children. This is what made SKM so obsessed with taking down the cult. On Undecim Nocte, SKM was investigating the cult when Drowned suddenly entered his computer. From that point onwards, the two were partners.
As the Lunarchildren.com slowly expands, the strange, supernatural happenings around Tyler are starting to become more personal. With Tyler still oblivious to the severity of his situation, the players may be forced to act sooner rather than later...

On May 29th, 2015, "The Weird Guy" was suddenly deleted from Silentdork. Later that night, Tyler returned to speak with the players.
Hello ^^;
the past couple days have been pretty.... eventful
Really? How have you been, safe, I hope
Well yesterday my power finally came back
it had been coming on and off really frequently just before hand
and when it would I would get a phone call while the power was on
I would pick up and hear silence right before the power would instantly go back off
However around the 6th or 7th time it came on and stayed on
Who was on the other end of the phone?
I heard a kinda of garbled and stuttery voice talking, like its connection was shitty and over the internet.
In an english accent it said "Right then, this is a test."
Thankfully, SKM was successfully able to restore Tyler's electricity.
I decided to call the police earlier today
A bit later than I planned
Tyler, I noticed that you deleted the video you posted for the police
Well they told me to delete the video after I gave them a digital copy
Said it was "Important to their investigation that I make sure anyone stalking you does not know you have evidence of them."
They also took the weird paper from me.
and they spent about 6 hours or so questioning me about everything in the back room of the station.

That seems extreme for a case like this. Your not a suspect in anything
Most of my wait time was them walking off after a few questions and then not coming back for fucking ever
"Did you see any detail of this man that was not captured on film"

The last one specifically felt weird in the various lines of questions

Y'know Tyler, between what you've told me about the way the cops handled the dissapearance of your friends, and now this, they seem suspicious

I did tell them how he seemed to be in one place while I walked towards him
then he was somehow in the library when I looked up again
and they went away for a bit

I mean I was leaving to go see my girlfriend at the end of the year like I do every year
But that is not for another 6 months
Tyler reveals that he visited the police earlier in the day and shared his story about the Weird Guy. He explains that the police behaved very strangely and asked very odd questions about the Weird Guy. They also took the paper that was left at his doorstep and told him to delete his footage, explaining why "The Weird Guy" was removed from YouTube. Knowing that the police are allied with the Lunar Children, the players attempt to convince Tyler to steer clear of them.
Tyler also reveals that he's planning on visiting Carla in Australia sometime near the end of the year. Meanwhile, the players accidentally namedrop Lunarchildren.com as Tyler drifts in and out of sleep at the computer.
By the way has anyone tried searching anything on the lunarchildren website?

Thankfully, the players are able to play the situation off fairly casually as Tyler goes to bed.
On May 30th, 2015, Johnisdead.com updated with a new video - "itwasme.webm".
This video features corrupted footage of "The Weird Guy" interspersed with footage of a long-haired man. Whoever this distorted long-haired man is seems to be implying that he was the aforementioned Weird Guy.
On May 31st, 2015, Lunarchildren.com updated with more terminology pages. There was also a separate classification of pages under their own drop-down menu titled "Ascension".
Ascension
More than just a word, a feeling, or a concept. Ascension is a state of existence. It’s the space between Reality and Fantasy, the only place that allows all the things that the mind can create to completely coexist with all that reality has to offer, and all that it withholds.
Through ascension one may gain much more awareness of the reality of this parallelos and the ones beyond, as they view it through the window of the ascended parallelos. However, for those who wish to ascend it is important that one does not forget the ultimate purpose of the act. Serving Luna and coming closer to her grace.
Prior to attempting the act (a process which must be kept secret until the higher levels of teaching), it is necessary that one studies the word of Father very closely as it is spoken through the current overseer “Father Vincent Adams”, and baptize thine self in the cosmic knowledge Mother brings to us. It is also highly recommended that one practices the teachings of the parallelos path, as knowledge of it can be of great assistance on the path to ascension, as well as grant one power early on that they may learn to control after there transition (and in some cases even before).
Ascension is a very complex thing, this being said, not all cases of ascension are the same. Below is a short list of the 4 classifications of ascension based upon the current understanding of it by our elder children’s study.
The Lunar Children claim that the purpose of ascension is to serve Luna. This is similar to how the Moon Children described ascension as "becoming one with Luna". The Lunar Children also mention something called the "Ascended Parallelos", which is presumably a separate realm that ascended spirits are taken to.
This page also reveals Vincent's full name and title - Father Vincent Adams. It also specifies that he's the current Overseer. However, he's likely still unaware that Patrem dwells within his body. Regardless, Lunar Children are urged to follow Patrem's teachings closely, as doing so will not only assist their ascension but also sometimes grant them powers even before they ascend. Some of these teachings are the "Parallelos Path", which is likely another way of referring to the aforementioned "Path of the Parallelos".
The page also features links to four separate terminology pages - each one covering a different type of ascension:
Devium
One who has died or has been killed under specific conditions, but has not undergone the training required to control the spiritual power within ones self, may later re manifest under the most basic of prerequisites for the definition of ascension. However such a status is not to be sought after. In Devium status you are in a state of minimal power and the environment is found to be difficult to control or predict because of unusual or perverse behavior brought forth by ‘novum ascensionem’ otherwise known as ‘newly ascended syndrome’. The only sure way to avoid such a terrible fate is to study the path that mother has laid out for us, and abide by fathers instructions. This alone will harden your soul and prepare you for the glory of ascension.
(Side note: There has been no seen cases of one who has manifested on the devium level ever rising above said level.
The majority of those found in ‘The portal’ under the rule of Regiminis are prime examples of Deviums.)
A Devium is someone who has ascended without proper training. As such, they are trapped in a miserable state where they have minimal power and control. The Lunar Children claim that this is due to something called "Novum Ascensionem", or "Newly Ascended Syndrome". They also note that the previously mentioned "Portal" governed by Regiminis contains many Deviums. However, what exactly this is referring to is unknown...
Eulogy
A eulogy is defined by its capabilities as an ascended child. One who has simply Ascended may communicate to this realm by some means, however one who has more capabilities (such as minor manipulation of this reality, minor physical manifestation etc…) is to be seen as a eulogy capable of even greater power.
But more often than not, a eulogy will remain a capable as it is upon awakening in its ascended form.
(Side note: The term Eulogy was coined by the Lunar child overseer of the orchard compound, during his controversial speech on the ascension of a previous child of Luna’s teachings.”Though he may no longer be under total control of his own fate, in his short time he was a eulogy to his death. His sacrifice to Tenebris will prove to put us far beyond the harbingers.”)
This page mostly contains the same text that was leaked by SKM a few nights prior. However, some additional context has been added at the bottom. The term "Eulogy" originated from the Overseer of The Orchard. The Orchard was the mysterious location that Kayd briefly visited in 2010 - a place that many believe held some connection to the Moon Children. This Overseer was supposedly speaking about someone who was ascended as a sacrifice to Tenebris. The Overseer claims that this sacrifice gave the cult an advantage over the Harbingers - a group that remains mysterious and unknown.
There were two other types of ascension mentioned in the drop-down menu - Finitor and Transcendence. Unfortunately, both of these pages were empty. However, it's worth noting that "Transcendence" is a process that Kelbris was said to have undergone according to Youshouldnthavedonethat.net. This implies that Kelbris underwent some sort of special ascension when he died in 1998...
Later that night, Tyler returned with some disturbing news.

I don't know what the fuck is going on right now or who is outside my fucking house but I am about to take care of this problem my god damn self.
For the past 20 minutes I have been hearing a constant knocking.
I would look outside but I put tinfoil on the windows so no one could watch me.
There was just a loud ass bang a second ago, someone threw something.
I am going to find out who the fuck it is and do something about it myself.
Someone, presumably a Lunar Child, is harassing Tyler outside his home by knocking on the walls of his trailer. After they supposedly threw something at his home, Tyler finally decided to go outside and check. After a long absence, Tyler eventually returned to give the players an update.
Im staying in a motel tonight
Im leaving my house now
Oh? Cant stay home tonight, Tyler?
There was a person outside my house
I caught it all on video
Oh crap
Tyler, please be very careful
I have been back for a while now but I am very shaken
He left a recorder on one of my grandfathers old broken trucks

I just wanted him to leave
But he was all over the fucking place

I chased after him to try and scare him away and everywhere I would go it seemed like he would vanish and appear somewhere else
I chased him a decent ways into the woods to make sure he was off my property
and then it seemed like I was going to have him out in the open because we were reaching the road
once I had him out on the road he was just gone
Tyler chased the Lunar Child through the woods. However, this was difficult, as the Lunar Child was somehow teleporting around - somewhat similarly to the Weird Guy. Eventually, the Lunar Child disappeared. Tyler also discovered that the Lunar Child had left what appears to be a small recording device on top of one of his grandfather's old trucks. Understandably shaken, Tyler is going to spend the rest of the night in a hotel.

Though it's already dark outside, Tyler departs for the hotel, promising to contact the players when he gets there. In the meantime, he works on uploading the footage he caught of the day's events.
During the early hours of June 1st, 2015, Tyler returned to the players.

Tyler has safely made it to the hotel. He's also uploaded the footage he took earlier in the day to Silentdork in a video titled "I am not safe in my home".
Description
This man showed up in my yard masked and began causing a comotion. I dont understand what his damn probblem was. Who was he and what the fuck will he want? What is going to happen to me?

The video begins with Tyler recording the side of his trailer.
Tyler: "Alright, so... Was hearing some knocking outside my room earlier, and uh..."
The camera pans up to show us Tyler's windows. They are blocked by tin foil, something he had mentioned doing himself to make sure no one could watch him.
Tyler: "...Then a very loud sound. I'm assuming it was this."
The camera pans down to a bucket lid lying on the ground.
Tyler: "Somebody's fucking with me. Oh, but they're gonna fucking get it, because I'm fucking - I'm done with fucking cops. (I'm) not doing another six hour bullshit session."
Tyler pulls out a knife, showing it to the camera.
Tyler: "I thought I fucking heard something over here, so... We're gonna find out what it is."
Tyler begins walking over to an old boat in his yard. The video and audio begin corrupting slightly.
Tyler: "...The fuck was that? What the..."
He walks over to an old truck sitting in his yard, knife still in hand.
Tyler: "What's this?"
Tyler picks up a small audio device sitting on top of the truck.
Tyler: "The fuck's going on? That thing's still fucking there. Okay, okay... No more fucking police. I don't know who the fuck this is, but I'm gonna run-"
Tyler points the camera at the woods, seeing someone in the distance. Strange audio begins playing, overlayed with "Bongo Bongo's" sounds from Ocarina of Time. The video begins tinting purple. 
Tyler: "Hey... Hey. Hey! You get back (here)! Hey!"
The video and audio corrupt and cut out. An image of the moon's eyes from Majora's Mask can barely be seen while the video turns purple. The video cuts back in with Tyler running through the woods.
Tyler: "The fuck... Last chance to call the police... Oh, fuck this. Wish I would've gotten a fucking gun instead. Fuck it, I probably fucking scared him away. If the police don't fucking do something about this, though, then I swear to fucking- ...Hey!"
Tyler sees the man off in the distance once again. Strange music begins playing in the background and the video corrupts once more. A strange, whispering voice can be heard that sounds similar to Patrem's, though it is difficult to make out. The audio gets extremely loud as Tyler chases after the man. The video cuts in and out a few more times. More whispering can be heard, this time from a different voice, though it is just as hard to decipher. The video cuts in to Tyler running through the woods. He sounds exhausted, panning the camera around the woods trying to find the man.
Tyler: "A little ways from home, now... But, um... I wanna think he's outta here. I don't know where else he could have fucking gone. Hey... Hey!"
The audio loudly corrupts as the man comes into Tyler's sight. Tyler begins chasing after him as the video continues to deteriorate. The corruptions end as Tyler runs through the bushes.
Tyler: "Hey!"
Tyler continues walking through the woods until eventually coming to a road.
Tyler: "I'm a long fucking ways- I'm at the fucking road now!"
The camera pans up and down the road, but the man is nowhere to be seen.
Tyler: "What the fuck..."
Tyler turns around and begins walking back through the woods.
Tyler: "What the fuck... (Sighs) What the fuck is this thing?"
Tyler holds the recording device in view of the camera. He presses play, causing a recording of a very distorted voice sound out. It is difficult to make out what exactly this voice is saying.
Tyler: "Oh, Jesus fucking Christ..."
The video cuts to Tyler recording himself standing outside his trailer.
Tyler: "(Sighs) Well, fucking guy got away. I don't know how the fuck he got away, um... I don't know how he got away. At all. Chased him for a good fucking ten minutes, but, fucking... I mean, I guess he's gone. Umm... First the fucking weird, tall guy, then the paper, then the police, and now this dude with the mask. I don't know what's going on. But... fuck going to the police because my track record with them is pretty fucking shitty. Thinking maybe I'll just, I don't know, talk with my girlfriend and see if maybe I can move in with her or something. I don't fucking know, man."
A high pitched noise begins playing as we see the masked man walking directly behind Tyler. Tyler does not even notice the man is there.
Tyler: "I don't fucking know. And I guess... The ID will be seeing this shit in a minute, so... I gotta fucking get out of here or something."
Summary
- This video contains the footage Tyler took of his encounter with the Lunar Child earlier in the day.
- Tyler discovers that the Lunar Child had thrown a bucket lid at his house, luring him outside.
- Tyler spots a small recording device that was left on top of one of his grandfather's old trucks.
- Tyler chases the Lunar Child through the woods. However, the Lunar Child repeatedly evades him by seemingly teleporting.
- Tyler returns home after the Lunar Child disappears. However, in the final seconds of the video, the Lunar Child can be seen lurking directly behind Tyler.

It's as Tyler described - he chased the Lunar Child through the woods as they seemingly teleported from one place to another. Hauntingly, the Lunar Child can be seen lurking behind Tyler in the last few seconds of the video... Unfortunately, all Tyler had to defend himself with was a small kitchen knife. Thankfully, the Lunar Child didn't attack him.
The object that Tyler heard hitting the side of his trailer was a bucket lid. The Lunar Child seemingly did this to lure Tyler outside. Strangely, he also left what appears to be a small recorder atop one of the trucks that used to belong to Tyler's grandfather...
As the players were investigating the footage, Tyler returned.
When he brandished the knife, I laughed more than I should have
Laughing huh?
Sorry I can’t have the army surplus on standby
But I mean I was expecting some punk ass kid or something
A knife would be fine for some stupid kid or drug addict from around my town
What did this guys mask look like?
It had some fur around the edges and was bumpy and tan with no facial features except what kind of looked like holes at the top
Im not too fucking amused by the fact that in the end of the video he stalked me all the way back to my house again

Tyler is still understandably shaken up and frustrated with all of this. The players attempt to plant the idea that this is somehow involved with the Lunar Children, believing that Kevin might be connected to all of this. However, Tyler isn't convinced. Tired, he goes to sleep.
On June 2nd, 2015, Zack Nelson discovered that Johnisdead.com had updated. The page was now titled "fakeworld" and featured the text "Come and See". Shortly after this, the player Wolfcat discovered a new page - "https://johnisdead.com/fakeworld". This page contained a simple white background with text in various different languages that read "How to get inside".
While the players were mulling this over, Tyler suddenly returned.

I went home today for a short bit to get my charger

but I figured fuck it and just took the walk
during the day of course
I have spent most of the day walking around trying to clear my head
and I was procrastinating going to my house

to room 592 after the inn got some call from oversees management or something about my room needing to be inspected
They didn't really go into too much detail ^^;
Earlier in the day, Tyler briefly returned home to retrieve his cellphone charger. Strangely, he was also forced to move to a different hotel room - Room 592 specifically. This was supposedly done at the request of some "overseas management".

Unfortunately, both Tyler and the players are having difficulty discerning what exactly was recorded on the device left outside his home. Also, Tyler has a strange encounter on the first floor of the hotel. Here, he witnessed an old man being carted out of his hotel room while shouting "152". Tyler assumes that this was simply the man's hotel room and that he was senile. Afterwards, Tyler gets some rest.
Curious over the mystery of "152", players took to Johnisdead.com to experiment. Their efforts paid off as they quickly discovered a new page - "https://johnisdead.com/152". This page contained the text "YOUR NEW LENSE OF TRUTH". This was followed by a cipher. Once translated, this revealed a link to a new website - Janusvr.com.
JanusVR is a special internet browser that projects webpages as virtual 3D environments. Generally, these simply default to basic rooms or skyboxes. However, if a webpage's code contains a "Firebox" HTML element within it, these 3D spaces can be far more expansive and intricate. The page "https://johnisdead.com/fakeworld" was an example of this.
The Fakeworld Janus Room, or Fakeworld for short, was a small, dark room with various corrupted images making up its walls. These included the following:
- "Drowned.png" - An image from Jadusable's ARG featuring a man wearing a gas mask with an outstretched hand.
- "NOTTHEONE.jpg" - A heavily distorted image of John's face.
- Large text that reads "GET OUT".
- A clock or timer that reads "4:23".
Fakeworld also featured a distorted version of "@90" by K3v1n playing in the background.

On June 4th, 2015, the player Eve suddenly received a text message from "dustesilverwolf" - one of John's old usernames. This text read "I’m under control for now. E-mail. It’s the only way I can speak at this moment. I don’t know much.". The players quickly took to Pididoip, hoping to contact John.

Shortly after this, the Pididoip account sent the message "NOT THE ONE" to several different players. This seems to suggest that this wasn't John after all... Shortly afterwards, the front page of Johnisdead.com updated. The page was now titled "Please Wait" and contained some heavily distorted footage of John titled "control.webm". This seemed to imply that John was somehow being controlled or impersonated... The page also featured a short, haunting melody titled "noise.mp3".
On June 5th, 2015, Zack Nelson discovered that Lunarchildren.com had updated with a new page - "https://lunarchildren.com/archives". Unfortunately, this page was locked. However, after a bit of experimentation, players managed to unlock it by using the password "NOTTHEONE". Here, they found the video "blood-moon.avi" and a note that read "Please note, this is not the complete video. We will have that up soon.".

The video begins in what appears to be an outdoors environment. It is nighttime and crickets can be heard. In the darkness, Matt can be seen standing in front of some sort of pedestal. He is identifiable thanks to his skull mask with the parallelos symbol drawn on it. A nervous voice begins speaking.
Cultist: "Uh... Alright. Is... the device ready?".
MattR reaches down and activates a device sitting upon the pedestal. A purple light shrouds the scene and the device begins emitting a strange sound. MattR stands back up.
MattR: "Yes."
Cultist: "Alright, um... Uhh, Father Vincent..."
Patrem: "Yes, child?"
An image of Patrem flashes on screen.
Cultist: "Um... Might I ask-"
The video abruptly ends.
Summary
- This video seems to be a small clip of the Blood Moon Ritual preformed by the Lunar Children.
- A nervous Lunar Child seems to be conducting the ritual while Matt watches.
- The Lunar Children manage to contact Patrem via some sort of device.
Judging by the video's name, this seems to be footage of the Blood Moon Ritual that Patrem partook in back in April. However, as indicated by the note that accompanied it, this clip is only a small snippet of the full video.
Three figures are present in the video. The first is a nervous Lunar Child who seems to be conducting the ritual. The second is a Lunar Child wearing a skull mask adorned with the Parallelos Symbol - Matt. The third is Patrem, who begins speaking through some strange device activated by the Lunar Children.
Later that night, Tyler gave the players a brief update.

On June 6th, 2015, John's old Skype account became active and initiated several different Skype calls. Unfortunately, each of these lasted only mere seconds before ending.
Over the next few days, these sporadic calls continued. On June 8th, 2016, players managed to record some of these encounters.

Concerningly, John's voice was heavily distorted. Not only that, every time he spoke, he was accompanied by the "Song of Unhealing" - a staple of BEN... Throughout the call, John repeated what he had already told the players before - he's not the one they seek. Shortly after this, John's Skype account initiated a much longer call - one that was nearly one hour in length. Unfortunately, only a small snippet of this call was recorded:
This call mostly consists of a strange breath-like melody playing throughout its duration. John's messages were spoken in reverse and were few and far between. Below are some of the cryptic things he said:

What? No! Stop!
Your notes... Hope you're taking.
I really, really- You must not know.
((Laughing))
Listen! He hates-
Not how he communicates... New. Redo.
Clearly am I not speaking.
((Unintelligible)), what I already told you.

This conversation is very difficult to follow. John's messages are spliced up as he seemingly fights for control with some malicious entity. This malicious entity claims that the players already know its identity.
However, two messages in particular stood out to the players...
"John"
"It's the only way. He has to know what happened."
Some players took this as a warning that they needed to tell Tyler the truth - that they needed to try and remind him that he was a member of the Internet Detectives and what all was going on with the Lunar Children.
Eventually, the players decided to tell Tyler the truth and began gathering up several links, images, and videos as evidence. They were intending to add Tyler to a separate Skype group where they could explain everything to him. However, the player Mugen Kagemaru jumped the gun a bit, adding Tyler a bit too early.

Despite Mugen's badgering, Tyler unfortunately didn't have time to enter the call as he was late for work. However, he does inform the players that he'll be moving to Australia near the end of the year when he visits Carla - hopefully getting him out of the Lunar Children's grasp.
Thankfully, Tyler returned to Skype on June 9th, 2015, safe and sound. It was at this point that the players decided to finally enact their plan.

I have some information to tell you, and I’d like to ask that you hear me out with an open mind. I’d like to begin by explaining a little more about us, The Internet Detectives. We are a group that investigates, and tries to help people who fall into the clutches of a certain religious group. A cult, basically. This cults members are followers of a Moon Goddess named Luna, and they are split into two factions. One is called the Lunar Children, and the other is called the Moon Children.
Both factions are very dangerous, and they have odd practices that include human sacrifice to achieve higher forms of enlightenment. In the past, The Internet Detectives had certain powers that were granted to us, and by using those powers we were able to effect people, even those who were a great distance away from us

John, Jacob, and yourself were members of our group. You all shared in our powers, and you helped us try to save two young men from this cult. Unfortunately, somewhere along our path, something went wrong. We believe that your friend Kevin, was a member of this cult. We believe that on the night you recorded the videos you uploaded to youtube, something happened to the four of you. We still don’t know what, but as a result John was killed, and you, Kevin, and Jacob went into hiding.
We’ve been contacted by other people who are also trying to help save members of this cult. They’ve kept us informed, and we know for sure that you’ve suffered from some kind trauma from that night, and have lost your memory. The fact that you don’t remember all of us as good friends, is evidence of that. I’m sorry we did not tell you right away, but we needed to gain your trust first. Whether we have succeeded or not, is no longer important. We have learned recently that you are in serious danger, this cult is the cause of all the crazy stuff that’s been happening to you. The cult is located in Florida, very near to your home. Their base of operation, is at an abandoned fishery, I’m sure you know what I’m talking about, and know exactly where it is.
DO NOT GO THERE UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE!
for some reason, we no longer have our powers of effect. If you fall into their clutches we cannot help you. The police are not your allies, they are loyal to the cultists. Do not speak to them! We’ve been told to warn you, and now we have. We can prove all of this, I have several links to websites that will back up our story. Please don’t freak out! You are one of us, and we believe that we can find Jacob and Kevin, wherever they are hiding. Tyler was outraged at the mention of his dead friend John - even more so that it was supposedly being used as the name for a website. He leaves, cutting off contact with the players. They had failed.
Upon checking Johnisdead.com, the players saw what Tyler had seen. The website had briefly gone offline with text reading "Under Construction" before updating with a new front page - one that was completely black with a new audio file playing that was titled "Patrem.mp3".
On June 10th, 2015, Patrem returned to Within Hubris to taunt the players.

I shall not allow him to be enlightened, he will bring damnation. Soon nothing else will matter, the mother awaits, and her children watch over the harbingers until the time of descent.
Patrem reveals that he was responsible for foiling the players' plans. He had somehow manipulated Tyler's perception or his computer so that he could not view the players' proof.
He chides the players, claiming that they had let the "bearer of falsehoods", Tenebris, mislead them. This implies that Tenebris was the one who was controlling John and speaking through his Skype account to trick the players. Interestingly, Patrem claims that he himself had granted Tenebris power in the past. However, he doesn't elaborate on this.
He also reveals that the Lunar Children are currently waiting for Regiminis's "true awakening" - something that will occur once he can pry John away from the "Wayward Cretin". Once this occurs, the cult will likely begin making more drastic moves towards Tyler.
It was at this point that the players began putting the pieces together...
Tenebris is described as a malicious trickster that uses the ascended spirits of others as vessels. According to the Lunar Children, he is currently using the "Deuro" as a vessel - a taboo figure that the cult is forbidden from speaking about. It is very likely that the Deuro is actually John - mainly because the word "Deuro" is Latin for "BURN OUT" or "BURN UP". This would also explain why the Duero is viewed as such a taboo subject - John was one of the two individuals who interfered with Undecim Nocte and caused it to go awry.
Tenebris is currently controlling John and using him as a vessel. This explains all of the malicious imagery of John seen as of late - including the antagonistic and misleading phone calls that led to the players losing contact with Tyler. This explains a lot. However, the players were still missing many crucial pieces of this puzzle, such as the following:
- Who was Tenebris's first vessel, the First Eulogy?
- Why was Regiminis's "true awakening" dependent on him retrieving John from Tenebris?
- Who were the Harbingers that Tenebris enjoys toying with so much?
- How did Patrem grant power to Tenebris in the past?
For now, all players could do was continue searching for whatever clues they could find.
Later that night, Johnisdead.com saw an update that reminded the players of Patrem's dominance in this situation:
