The Fishery is an important location within Johnisdead. Hidden in the woods of rural Florida, the Fishery was the meeting grounds of the Lunar Children up until its destruction on Undecim Nocte 2011. The Fishery was not only a place of worship, however, as it also acted as an actual fishery and convenience store with the more secretive cult activities taking place out of sight.

History

The details surrounding the Fishery's creation aren't exactly known. It is implied that parts of it have existed long since before the Lunar Children began using it as their meeting grounds and that it may still hold some secrets. At some point, Hank Hubbard became the owner of the Fishery and used it to host his business, "The Hubbard Fishery". The Fishery consisted of two main buildings - one small building in the front and a larger one hidden behind a wall. The smaller building was accessible to the public and was positioned near a highway. This building contained a small convenience store, a break room, and Hank's office.

The larger building was seemingly divided into two parts - a large room used for cleaning and processing fish, and several smaller rooms used for various cult activities. These rooms included a library, a portrait room, a meeting hall, and a small, wooden chapel. There is also an addition room accessible from outside that seems to contain a trapdoor of sorts leading into what appears to be a basement. The Fishery also contained a large courtyard containing faceless angel statues, a moondial, and a statue of Metatron.

In 1998, Hank left the Moon Children and formed his own cult - the Lunar Children. It is likely around this time that Hank first began repurposing parts of the Fishery to be used for religious practices. Following his death in 2002, the Fishery was still used as the Lunar Children's main place of gathering. Over time, however, the Fishery became more and more dilapidated. On Undecim Nocte 2011, Kevin's ascension took place. The ceremony went awry, however, resulting in most of the Fishery being destroyed. After this, the Lunar Children began using The Spire as their main meeting ground.
