Quiet Family is a YouTube channel that was first introduced during the Our Horizon Arc. This channel's true nature is mysterious, as it seems to have some meta connections. Despite this, the channel itself seems to be under Max's control. Though it was only discovered in 2019, the channel existed since 2014 - one year before Johnisdead's began.

Story

The origin of the Quiet Family YouTube channel isn't completely understood. Despite only being discovered in 2019, the channel had existed since 2014 - one year before Johnisdead began. Over the course of the ARG, the channel seemed to have occasional uploads, though mainly in the form of unlisted videos. This channel was first officially revealed to the players on October 21st, 2019 when IIIII sent a link to one of its videos, stop and don't watch this, in the Internet Detectives Discord Server. Later that day, players discovered that the channel had a playlist titled "time fractures" which contained a video that was uploaded in 2018 - wtf is this thing.

The channel was used again on October 28th when an unknown entity, possibly IIIII, sent a link to the video lostinforest in a "Watch2gether" room with the players. On November 12th, SKM interrupted the video The end on Silentdork and gave the players a link to another video on the channel - llllllllllll. Players finally received an explanation for the channel on November 22nd, when Erika explained that it actually belonged to SKM's brother, Max. She explained that Max would occasionally upload footage that she would then use for her music videos. Over the next few weeks, Erika would occasionally share more unlisted videos from the channel with the players.

On May 19th, 2020, IsocelesAssassin commented on the channel's existence once it was brought up in a conversation on the Astral Observatory Forums. He explained that the channel belonging to Max makes sense, since Astral Max would occasionally refer to his familial situation as such. Over the next few months, the channel would occasionally update with more mysterious videos.
