GHOSTBABEL is an ally of IsocelesAssassin and the players hailing from Greth's ARG I Am 979. Being an entity made up of code, GHOSTBABEL is able to easily traverse the digital realm. While initially ill-mannered and blunt, GHOSTBABEL has grown much fonder of the players, saving her attitude for villainous entities like BUP. Despite only planning on getting the players into the subspace (an act she only took upon herself due to owing IsocelesAssassin for previously saving them), the gravity of the situation has kept GHOSTBABEL around. Now in contact with the hacker group, GHOSTBABEL aids in relaying the messages from them to the players, while the possible threat of BUP's aggregation looms over her head.
Biography
Born in 1976, GHOSTBABEL appears to be an exact digital replica of a human being (or, at least, a human being with the ability of transferring themselves into a computer), with the ability to transfer both her consciousness and entire physical body through computers. Described as a psycho by an entity from the I Am 979 ARG named Cursor, GHOSTBABEL is implied to have taken advantage of (or at least messed with) children using AOL chats in the 90s via her ability to traverse the digital realm. Whatever horrible things she did caught the attention of the Wyndstrom Institute, an SCP-esque institution with arguable morals who contained her within a massive drive. This drive was tailored specifically to hold her, both in its locking mechanism and the sheer size required to store her (as DNA represents an unimaginable amount of data).
In an attempt to free Unit 979, another entity stuck within the Wyndstrom Institute who had promised to protect the daughter of a now dead Wyndstrom employee, Cursor freed GHOSTBABEL. This was successful, and in return for freedom, GHOSTBABEL spared Cursor and began reluctantly working with the players (of whom she was more than familiar with the history of for one reason or another) to stave off the Institute. GHOSTBABEL was, however, an impudent, cynical individual with a large ego, and didn't appreciate the players' less-than-serious nature.
After revealing a primordial goddess named Tiamat had been released, GHOSTBABEL briefly departed when Cursor returned to the players. She eventually came back on the insistence of an "anonymous... benefactor", revealing that all but her and another entity had been returned to the Institute. This was likely due to them making a deal with an extremely powerful, enigmatic entity known as "The Collector" who owned an orphanage of sorts where they would place whatever powerful things they collected.
