Story (Full) 25
The story so far...
In the previous section, the players began privately communicating with Moonman in a secret chatroom - the Safehaven Discord server. Here, they learned many interesting details about the Astral Observatory. Its leader, Nocta, is somehow the same Kevin that the players are all familiar with. However, Moonman implies that there's a bit more to him... As for the Astral Observatory itself, the group has existed since July of 2018 and used to have many more members before the site went offline in October. Unfortunately, there were some things that Moonman couldn't elaborate on as he was seemingly being censored by an unknown supernatural force...
Back on the forums, another previous member made their return - Kaiden Zoromichi, an edgy roleplayer who enjoyed anime and video games. Unfortunately, he was somewhat hostile towards the players, having bought into Nocta's suggestion that they were partly responsible for the website going offline. Around this same time, Nocta discovered that Moonman was conspiring with the players and confronted him. Afterwards, Moonman was seemingly attacked by The Watcher, though the players were able to rescue him. However, the sudden submission of "Epona's Song" resulted in him briefly leaving his home with an unknown visitor...
Moonman also made a startling reveal to the players - he was once a fellow Internet Detective. Specifically, he was Greth - a Greth from a separate timeline. This implied that the entirety of the Astral Observatory was from a timeline separate from the players' timeline - the Astral Timeline. As such, the players began referring to their own timeline as the Prime Timeline. Meanwhile, the player ARGdov began slowly gaining Nocta's trust. This eventually paid off as both he and another player named CelestialLight were granted the "Believers" rank and given access to The Truth. Unfortunately, Nocta had already purged all of the previous information that was once housed inside of it.
Meanwhile, Yuukichan began acting a bit strange after supposedly visiting her haunted childhood home. She claims that the experience was very eye-opening and opened her up to truths that she isn't very comfortable with. Strangely, she somehow managed to unknowingly manifest various files on Johnisdead.com. When asked about her experience at her home, she simply responded by repeatedly posting "the woods".
On April 23rd, 2019, several videos were uploaded to both Greth Vlogs and Silentdork. Here, Tyler gave the players a brief update before seemingly falling into a sort of trance, repeating the phrase "Across the bridge and through the gate". Later on, Alex revealed that Tyler had since been taken somewhere. This presumably happened after he was attacked by Greth and used the Detour Sign to teleport away. On that same day, the players also received footage of someone preforming some sort of ritual with the Majora's Mask cartridge. This ritual seemingly involved Tenebris and the mannequin entity that presumably represents Ben.
Over time, Moonman's acts against the Astral Observatory grew more severe. He began leaking secret videos from their archives to YouTube. He also invited a swarm of spambots to the forums in an attempt to slow Nocta down. This all culminated in him eventually hacking into Nocta's account and granting the players moderator status on the forums. He claims that this was his "final act of defiance", as he knew Nocta would soon retaliate against him. However, thanks to Moonman's efforts, the players were able to recover several deleted threads - one of which contained the startling reveal that Yuukichan had been ascended...

Story
Before we begin covering this next section of the story, there are a few important things to keep in mind:
Notice: The Our Horizon Arc is very long. Because of this, it has been split into three separate parts. However, this shouldn't effect the structure of these story pages.
Notice: The Our Horizon Arc features many different plot threads - some of which run simultaneously alongside one another. In order to sustain readability, some of these plot threads may be divided up into different story pages despite the fact that they are actually happening at the same time. Whenever this happens, it will be made very clear.
On July 9th, 2019, the Silentdork YouTube channel began experiencing several strange updates. This all began with the upload of a short video titled "| | | | | |".
Description

This short video simply consists of a dark object moving in front of the camera.
Summary
- This video simply contained dark footage of something moving in-front of the camera.
This video was incredibly short and simply contained footage of an object slowly moving in-front of the camera. However, shortly after its upload, the video's title and description changed to the following:
3 questions will be answered
Boredom and habit has forced our hand yet again.
It seems that some unknown entity was offering to answer some of the players questions - both out of habit and boredom. Before the players submitted their questions, they briefly chatted with this entity within the YouTube comment section:
This suggested that the players were to submit their questions in the form of YouTube comments under the video above.
However, before they could chat further, another video was suddenly uploaded to Silentdork - "wolfcat22".
Description
llllll ᚸ llllll
<--- Click for Video Transcript
The video begins as a distorted version of the "Song of Storms" plays. Gameplay footage of the online game "Roblox" begins playing featuring a player exploring a dark house. As they look out the window, a figure walks into view and runs towards the camera. A scream is heard and the video ends.
Summary
- This video contains gameplay footage of the online game Roblox.
- In the footage above, someone explores a dark house before they're suddenly attacked by an unknown figure.
Upon its initial upload, the title of the video above was a bit of a shock. Wolfcat22 was the username of the Internet Detectives' fellow players - Wolfcat. Strangely, this video contained a brief clip of the online game Roblox. This is likely a reference to the fact that the player Wolfcat often played Roblox. Interestingly, this video's description contained more of the strange lines found in the title of the previous upload - although they were now accompanied by a "Gar" or "Spear" rune - ᚸ. The meaning behind this is unknown.
Regardless, the players began chatting with the entity from before in the comment section of this video as well:
What exactly this is referring to is unknown. It's likely in reference to this unknown entity's current predicament. Alternatively, it could be referring to what took place in the Roblox footage above.
Around this same time, the description of the previous upload changed once again, now reading as follows:
Dont bore me, WE Have wAiTed a long timE for this. He'll be taking a bris walk while I May wait.
The entity claims that it has been waiting a long time. Additionally, it claims that someone will be taking a walk - possibly referring to Tyler. Also, this description contained out-of-place capitalized letters that spell out "WE HATE HIM". All of this seemed to suggest that this entity was malicious in nature. However, some other comments from the Silentdork seemed to cast doubt on this...
He is always ruining us and bringing it all back to Null.
We will never be free and Im afraid Luna will take everything.
It happened once before back in april 2012. There is always Methods to his madness.
This is one of the only times I think I of the 3 will be able to speak without my symbols the way I had to set them up. Please stay alert.
A separate entity seemingly begins speaking through the Silentdork account. This second entity seems far less malicious and instead warns the players about the first entity. He describes the first entity as a bit of a trickster who enjoys doing things that "throws everyone off". He mentions April 2012 as an example - the same month that "king kong.wmv" was uploaded by Jadusable as an April Fools prank. He also claims that there are "Methods" to the first entity's madness - a possible reference to the project that Jadusable pursued after placing his ARG in hiatus - "Methods of Revolution".
While it's unknown why exactly this second entity referenced "king kong.wmv" and "Methods of Revolution", the point still stands - the first entity is an untrustworthy and malicious figure. This, coupled with the fact that they were "waiting", wanting things to end, and hated Tyler made some players begin speculating that the first entity was actually Tenebris. However, there wasn't enough proof to say that this was definitively the case, though.
Interestingly, this second entity refers to himself as "I of the three", implying that there may actually be three separate entities at play. However, the players are currently only interacting with two. They also claim that they are currently able to speak freely. However, they will later be speaking through their "symbols". What exactly this is referring to is unknown.
Later on, the description for the video "wolfcat22" changed to the following:
Stolen from him
Laugh
Send toys I my punish to interfering
Detectives
Children
Harbingers
End
Kill all to end
This implies that whatever took place in this video was the result of the first entity sending his "toys" to punish the player Wolfcat. However, again, what exactly this is referring to is unknown - only that this first entity is a malicious figure that enjoys toying with the players. Additionally, it implies that its goal is to "kill all to end" - further emphasis that this entity supposedly wants things to "end".
After this, the entity replied to several more comments:
But "I" still wants to finish.
I will kill him.
Our worlds
These replies reveal some interesting information.
The first entity once again reiterates that he wants things to end - specifically how he wants to "let it die" so that he could be free. However, he can't do this because someone he simply refers to as "I" still wants to "finish". So, in response, this first entity will kill this "I".
When asked how many entities there are speaking within the account, the first entities responds with "Spectrum", implying that their state of existence may be a bit more complicated than the players first thought... Additionally, this entity claims that the Lunar Children were simply a tool of theirs.
Finally, this entity also reveals Tyler's current whereabouts - the Parallelos. He presumably ended up there after touching the Detour Sign to escape Greth, as hinted at in the faint footage seen in "g2".
The first entity also replied to one other comment:
Shortly after this, another video was uploaded to Silentdork - "Solifera C".
Description
A prisoner
A prison
A prophecy
Just a glimpse
<--- Click for Video Transcript
This video shows a few quick shots of strange images with a song playing in the background.
Summary
- This video contains footage of what appears to be a 3D environment.
The video above was likely uploaded in response to the player Solifera C asking to see more. It contains footage of what appears to be a 3D environment. Within it, two different paintings are shown - one depicting a variety of figures in-front of what appears to be The Spire and another of a crying figure. The final shot seems to be a room with a staircase with another painting on the wall. This video is likely simply meant to be a showcase of things to come.
Afterwards, the description of "| | | | | |" updated, now featuring the entity's replies to the three questions chosen by the players:
I will be free when this dies but it makes me work more and more.
I'm very tired, this body is a cage.
When I finally stagnate he stabs me again and we must fight all over again.
Over and over, forever.
The entity once again expresses his desire for everything to end so that he can be free. Specifically, he claims that "I pull us to null". However, someone else is forcing him to carry on. Because of this, they're currently trapped within an eternal struggle. Who exactly these two entities are is still a mystery.
Will you kill him ? When you find he or she what are you going to do? Will you delete your channel when this finish?
The first entity claims that he'll finally be able to die if he can kill his target. He cryptically adds "If I die I die" and says that this was promised to him by "It".
When asked who exactly it is that he hates, the first entity cryptically replies with "he is us".
After this, activity on Silendork ended for the night.
This was all a lot of information for the players to take in. To summarize:
There are currently two separate entities speaking through the Silentdork YouTube channel. The first entity is malicious and a trickster. However, the second entity is more friendly and warns the players about the first entity.
The second entity warns that the first entity is malicious and enjoys misleading the players. As an example, he seemingly references the "king kong.wmv" April Fools prank and "Methods of Revolution" - the project that Jadusable paused his ARG to pursue. Additionally, the second entity claims that he can speak freely for now. However, he will have to use his "symbols" to contact the players after this conversation.
Meanwhile, the first entity claims that it simply wants to die so that everything can end. In order to die, he has to kill someone else. However, the identity of this person is a bit of a mystery. He claims to be stuck in an eternal struggle - possibly with the second entity.
Finally, while the second entity implies that there's currently three entities at play, the first entity instead claims that there is a "spectrum" or entities. This seems to imply that the existence of these entities is a bit more complex than initially thought.
There were still many questions regarding the identities and goals of these two entities. However, the players would have to wait a bit before getting any answers. Instead, they turned their attention back towards the Astral Observatory Forums.
On July 19th, 2019, Kaiden finally returned to the forums and made several posts.

The forums been rather quiet for awhile now. I guess everyone is busy, and it had to get shut down for a bit to deal with the invasion of bots. I'm sure things will become active very soon with any luck.

Hmmm... Well outside of this place/these people, not terrible. Been working on an abridged lore video for my character... I need some art for it though.
Re: Man is this place dead or what?
by Wolfcat » June 19th, 2019, 3:37 pm
yo I can do some art, what do you need honestly
In the thread above, NotAHoax questions why the Astral Observatory Forums have been so quiet recently. Kaiden chips in and claims that there's a reason for this - possibly referring to Yuukichan's ascension... Afterwards, he claims that he's currently working on an "abridged lore video" to explain the backstory of his roleplay character - something that the player Wolfcat offers to provide art for.
Kaiden proceeded to post in a few other other threads as well. Below, he shares what games he's currently playing:
Also, Kaiden shares his thoughts in a thread about dragons:
Kaiden claims that he heard once that the mythical dragon known as Tiamat is real... However, this could simply be another reference to a roleplay of his.

In the thread above, Kaiden ironically calls out the player Jos for being too edgy.
However, Kaiden's final post was the most interesting. It was posted in Nocta's redacted "Internet Detectives" thread:
This implies that Kaiden is not only questioning Nocta's decisions, he's now grown to dislike him - no doubt due to his decision to ascend Yuukichan.
Later that night, Kaiden created a new thread - one that would go on to become quite infamous... Around this same time, Kaiden also updated his avatar to a more recent version of his roleplay character.

i Love it, reminds me of a certain someones, style of RP Videos.
It seems that Kaiden had finished the "abridged lore video" he mentioned previously. It had now been uploaded to Kaiden's personal YouTube channel in all of its glory:
Description
Abridged version of some of my RPs with Kaiden. Maybe I will make more if you like it?
<--- Click for Video Transcript
The "Adventures of Kaiden Zoromichi" logo appears as 8 bit music plays. Kaiden's sword appears from the bottom of the screen as the word "Abridged" is added to the logo. The logo and music fade out, as Kaiden comes into view, represented by his new Astral Observatory profile picture. He begins speaking with a computer-generated voice similar to Microsoft Sam. Subtitles are also provided.
Kaiden: "These powers of mine have led to nothing but confusion and misunderstanding from everyone. How could I possibly learn to control them?"
A short video of swirling dark energy plays, followed by the appearance of a new character named The Broker of Nokturnal represented by a disturbing shadowy image.
Broker: "Want to learn cool magics and to control your powers?"
Kaiden: "Yes please.
Broker: "Okay soul contract time."
A clip of someone training with a sword is shown with Kaiden's head super-imposed over theirs.
Broker: "Okay you are an agent of shadow and super powerful time traveler now."
Kaiden: "Okay assassin time."
A clip of the Tardis from Dr. Who is shown, signifying that Kaiden is travelling through time to carry out assassinations. A short clip of Ezio from Assassin's Creed killing a target with Kaiden's head super-imposed over his plays, as Ezio's famous line is said:
"Requiescat in pace."
A mock bumper from Spongebob Squarepants is shown as a French voice says:
"Hundreds of deaths later."
Yuukichan appears, taking on an appearance similar to that of her forum avatar.
Yuukichan: "Kaiden, you have to stop!"
Kaiden: "Why, Yuuki-chan?"
Yuukichan: "Just because your power comes from darkness it doesn't mean you have to let it consume your soul! You can use the darkness for light, for good!"
Kaiden: "Impossible, Yuuki, there is no hope for me. The Broker of Nokturnal has my soul under contract..."
Yuukichan: "It doesn't have to be this way, Kaiden!"
An edit of a meme appears featuring Kaiden's face and the text "damn im starting to realize" is shown.
Kaiden: "Maybe you're right Yuuki... Maybe I truly can be..."
The same clip of swirling dark energy appears as the Broker returns.
Broker: "Not so fast bitch lol."
Kaiden: "What?"
Broker: "I'm gonna steal your girl."
Kaiden: "What?"
Yuukichan: "What?"
Broker: "It's ransom time."
Kaiden: "No!"
Broker: "To save her you must destroy ISOCELESASSASSIN."
The swirling energy clip plays and we are shown Yuuki and the Broker fading into darkness. The meme from earlier appears again, now zooming in on Kaiden's face. The Batman transition plays but with Kaiden's face instead. IsocelesAssassin appears, represented by a shadowy figure in a robe.
IA: "Who are you?"
Kaiden: "The one who shall destroy you!"
A clip from Kingdom Hearts plays of Sora and Riku fighting. Sora fights off Riku and yells:
"Forget it!"
IA: "You fool! The Broker is just using you to get rid of me!"
Kaiden: "I know that! But... he has Yuuki!"
IA: "Yuuki?"
Another Spongbob Squarepants bumper is shown, this one reading:
"One long winded explanation later..."
IA: "I see... That is regrettable, but I must not be defeated here!"
Kaiden: "Even still...!"
Kaiden's sword is animated slashing through IsocelesAssassin, followed by a loud scream commonly referred to as the "Loud Nigra" scream. The video cuts to static before returning to IsocelesAssassin.
IA: "But, how!?"
Kaiden: "Because of the power of love."
A meme of a man in a car saying, "Understandable, have a nice day," is shown, but with IsocelesAssassin's head replacing his.
IA: "Understandable, have a nice day."
IA: "But before you kill me, I must pass on the final secret of your power, and my power as well!"
IA: "The power that the Broker of Nokturnal cultivates for his devious plan."
IA: "Time travel!"
Kaiden: "Fool, I can already time travel."
IA: "Yes, but not without your toilet. Nocturnal assassins can travel through time freely."
Kaiden: "NANI?"
IA: "Before you kill me... We could end this... together."
Kaiden: "Perhaps we can..."
A clip of Samurai Jack is shown, depicting Aku sending Jack into the future through time. The following text then appears:
"[AFTER A BUNCH OF SKIPPED RP BECAUSE THIS IS ABRIDGED]"
Kaiden: "Maybe you're right Yuuki... maybe I truly can be..."
The same clip of swirling dark energy appears as the Broker returns.
Broker: "Not so fast bitch lol."
Kaiden: "What?"
Broker: "I'm gonna steal your girl."
Kaiden: "What?"
Yuukichan: "What?"
Broker: "It's ransom time."
Kaiden: "No!"
The Broker is shown as Kaiden's sword slashes through him.
Broker: "What is this?"
Kaiden is shown holding a katana and his signature sword, alongside IsocelesAssassin.
Kaiden: "Not this time, Broker!"
IA: "This time we will defeat you, together!"
The Broker screams "NOOOO" as he slowly slides off the screen.
Kaiden: "Now that time travel is so accessible... what are the ramifications... IsocelesAssassin...?"
IsocelesAssassin is seen fading into darkness.
Yuukichan: "He's gone!"

Summary
- This video contains an animated and humorous retelling of Kaiden and Yuukichan's roleplay sessions. IsocelesAssassin also briefly makes an appearance.
- The story told within Kaiden's roleplay is the following:
- Kaiden feels outcast because he cannot control his dark powers.
- Kaiden is approached by a dark figure known as the Broker of Nokturnal. He promises Kaiden more control over his powers if he becomes an assassin. Kaiden agrees.
- Yuukichan begs Kaiden to stop using his powers for darkness. Kaiden begins to realize he can use his powers for good, but the Broker suddenly appears and kidnaps Yuuki, demanding that Kaiden kills IsocelesAssassin.
- Kaiden and IsocelesAssassin battle. Before Kaiden strikes him down, IsocelesAssassin reveals he has the ability to time travel. The two travel back in time to before Yuukichan was kidnapped and confront the Broker.
- The Broker is defeated and Yuukichan is saved. Before Kaiden can thank IsocelesAssassin, however, he vanishes.
- After IsocelesAssassin vanishes in the video, Kaiden states that he has to confront someone else. As he says their name, the video corrupts and some strange footage is shown.
- The credits reveal that the players Wolfcat and Electra provided art of several characters within the video. Moonman is also credited for providing the voice of the French narrator as a reference to the character from the "Spongebob Squarepants" cartoon. It's revealed that Moonman did this in exchange for Kaiden putting a segment of him calling Kaiden a "cuck" at the end of the video.
As described by Kaiden, this video is an abridged and humorous retelling of some of his roleplay sessions with Yuukichan - presumably ones that took place on the Astral Observatory Forums before they were wiped in 2018. A summation of this story is as follows:
Kaiden has dark powers that have led to him becoming an outcast. One day he is confronted by the Broker of Nokturnal, who offers to teach him more about his powers if he signs a soul contract with him. Kaiden agrees and begins training. After some time, Kaiden gains the ability to time travel and becomes an assassin.
Eventually, Yuukichan confronts Kaiden, telling him that he can use his dark powers for good. As Kaiden's considering this possibility, the Broker of Nokturnal suddenly appears and kidnaps Yuukichan. He tells Kaiden that in order to rescue Yuukichan he must kill IsocelesAssassin.
Kaiden tracks down IsocelesAssassin and bests him in combat. However, before he's struck down, IsocelesAssassin claims that he has a more powerful version of time travel that the two of them can use to defeat the Broker of Nokturnal. The two travel back in time and defeat the Broker of Nokturnal just as he's about to kidnap Yuukichan. Before they can celebrate, IsocelesAssassin suddenly departs to take on another foe - someone whose name starts with the letter "G". As the video ends, Moonman calls Kaiden a cuck.
Due to both his name and his role within the story, many players began drawing parallels between the "Broker of Nokturnal" and Nocta. The presence of IsocelesAssassin is also quite interesting. As a reminder, IsocelesAssassin is the name of an Astral Observatory member who has yet to rejoin the forums. He's also possibly the Astral Timeline version of the player Circlehunter. The video's credits reveal that Kaiden used art created by the players Wolfcat and Electra. Also, Moonman provided some of the video's narration. However, he only did this in exchange for being able to call Kaiden a "cuck" at the end of it.
It's also worth noting that when IsocelesAssassin is about to reveal the name of the individual he's about to fight, the video heavily corrupts. During this, distorted real life footage plays on screen. Unfortunately, it's a bit too corrupted to make out.
Shortly after Kaiden posted the thread above, Nocta responded with the following:

Does anyone know how to better access memories that you can't quite seem to fully...grasp? I have a lot of dreams that I believe to be memories. Mostly of my time at an orphanage when I was young and... some other things.

If you're ready and willing to believe it works, hypnotism/psychiatric help works out real well if you're trying to remember or forget something.

Keeping a dream journal of sorts might help - at the very least it would ensure you don't forget these supposed memories a second time. I draw webcomics from time to time and occasionally I'll have a dream about comics I've never drawn before. It's kinda weird but it lends itself to some good inspiration.

Here, Kaiden reveals that he grew up in an orphanage. He claims that he occasionally has dreams that he believes to be memories of his childhood at this orphanage. However, he seems to be having difficulty accessing and holding on to these memories.
Meanwhile, the players began speculating about the circumstances surrounding Yuukichan's ascension. They decided that no one would be able to give them more details about this than Yuukichan herself. So, in an attempt to summon her spirit, the player Wolfcat created a thread titled "Controller" in the "The Truth" board and submitted the "New Wave Bossa Nova". However, it wasn't Yuukichan who was summoned.
On July 26th, 2019, the players noticed a new account on the Astral Observatory Forums - IsocelesAssassin. His avatar contained the "Bremen Mask" from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask - a mask that allows Link to march with small animals. IsocelesAssassin created his own introduction thread shortly afterwards:

Re: Seems we are back.

Hey now, you haven't been gone THAT long.
IsocelesAssassin announces his return, much to Moonman's excitement. Interestingly, IsocelesAssassin refers to Moonman by his old Internet Detective-era username - Greth. This might imply that IsocelesAssassin himself is a former Internet Detective as well - further evidence that they are actually the Astral Timeline version of the player Circlehunter. Regardless, IsocelesAssassin claims that they've been working alongside "some other people with a mutual interest" for a couple years. Who exactly this is referring to is unknown. However, it's worth pointing out that IsocelesAssassin has only been absent for about eight months - not multiple years, meaning there is a bit of a time discrepancy to his claim - something Moonman takes note of.
Not long after this post, Moonman posted the following in the Safehaven Discord server:
Moonman
"SHIT IS BUCK WILD FOLKS"
IsocelesAssassin also began replying to a few other threads as well:
The post above was made in response to the player Wolfcat's submission of the "New Wave Bossa Nova". Given IsocelesAssassin's nonchalant nature, his response seems to imply that he's somewhat familiar with The Ocarina and how it functions.

Not sure what you're getting at IA (welcome back, by the way), but I did remember something. I fill you in on the details. Do you still have Skype?
In response to Kaiden's lost memories, IsocelesAssassin posts the "Sonata of Awakening", showcasing that he himself has the power to utilize The Ocarina. This confirms that he is indeed a former Internet Detective within the Astral Timeline. Additionally, it seems as though IsocelesAssassin's submission was a success, as Kaiden suddenly remembers something.
Afterwards, IsocelesAssassin sent the player Wolfcat the following PM:
IsocelesAssassin
"You called for me. And now I'm here."
This confirmed that IsocelesAssassin was indeed summoned thanks to the "New Wave Bossa Nova".
Notice: Around this same time, the two entities who were previously speaking through the Silentdork YouTube channel once again became active. This was coupled with several cryptic video uploads and YouTube comments. Additionally, activity later began on Discord as well through a strange account simply called "IIIII". However, all of these events will be covered on the next story page. This story page will continue following the plot thread surrounding the Astral Observatory Forums for now. Just be aware that these events were happening simultaneously and will be covered in full later on.
On July 27th, 2019, IsocelesAssassin made another post:
This message was posted in response to Kaiden's upload. This implies that the brief clip of distorted real-life footage within Kaiden's video was actually a recording of Nocta... This is possibly why Nocta posted his disapproving reply earlier.
On July 29th, 2019, a new user suddenly joined the Safehaven Discord server - GHOSTBABEL. First, the Safehaven Discord server was a very secret and private server, so seeing a newcomer suddenly join was a bit of a shock. Also, as a reminder, GHOSTBABEL was a character from a completely separate ARG created by Greth - "I Am 979". Again, knowledge of "I Am 979" is not required to understand Johnisdead. However, here is a brief summary:
I Am 979 is an ARG that Greth previously created back in 2016. Much like Johnisdead, I Am 979's playerbase mainly consisted of users from Within Hubris. The story focused on the Wyndstrom Institution - an enigmatic organization that housed many anomalous entities called "Units". The most notable of these entities was a cruel spirit called "Ghost Babel", a sentient mouse named "Cursor", and an escaped unit simply known as "979".
If you'd like to learn more about "I Am 979", click here. For now, all you need to know about GHOSTBABEL is that they're a somewhat callous disembodied entity that can manipulate technology - not too unlike an ascended spirit.

GHOSTBABEL introduces themselves. They don't seem to be very fond of the players - likely due to some interactions they had with them during the events of "I Am 979". Regardless, they have joined the Safehaven Discord server because someone asked them to help the players. However, they're still unsure whether or not they'll go through with this.
I don’t really expect people to help for nothing. Maybe there’s something we can do for you, for you to help us? Rather than you just doing it out of the goodness of your heart.

The player otherLiam reaches out to GHOSTBABEL, offering to do something for them in return for their assistance. GHOSTBABEL reiterates that they're currently just observing the players, though they do elaborate a bit on how they could be of service to the players - they are very good with computers. GHOSTBABEL also lists off some of the players they remember - Aaver, Moondancer, Scout, Oceanstuck, and Buzz. Additionally, they claim to have directly interacted with Circlehunter in the past.
Meanwhile, the players begin questioning who exactly sent GHOSTBABEL to the players - GHOSTBABEL's "contact".
I guess the main question I have left is, how can we know we can trust either you or your contact?

GHOSTBABEL claims that their contact has their own reasons for not wanting to join the Safehaven Discord server. However, they assure the players that they're someone that the players can trust. Additionally, GHOSTBABEL claims that they owe their contact a debt for having assisted them in the past.
Meanwhile, the players were still hoping to contact Yuukichan. This time, they decided to submit "Kafei's Mask" in a new thread titled "Ghosts are scary". For context, "Kafei's Mask" is a mask from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask that would allow Link to receive useful information from other characters while worn.

Re: Ghosts are scary

The players' submission was a success - Yuukichan's account suddenly became active and posted a strange image. Unfortunately, its contents were a bit too distorted to make out. In response, the player otherLiam submitted the "Lens of Truth", hoping to receive a less corrupted version of the image. Shortly afterwards, Yuukichan responded with another image. Unfortunately, this one wasn't much clearer... Meanwhile, Kaiden was understandably disturbed and confused by all of this.

GHOSTBABEL references back to 2015 when the players were being contacted by The Gray Man - specifically how The Gray Man asked them to band together under a common goal. Cryptically, GHOSTBABEL suggests that the players should retrace their steps back to those times... This is possibly due to the fact that the players were a bit split at this point. Due to the secretive nature of the Safehaven Discord server, some players were being excluded from canon conversations. Other players were actively excluding themselves for their own reasons. It seems that GHOSTBABEL feared that the players were going to resort to more in-fighting at a rather pivotal moment.
Meanwhile, Moonman joins the chat and is confused to see GHOSTBABEL.
Either everyone involved needs to have access to the same space that is used for participation, or those who refuse to cooperate in that regard should be excised.

GHOSTBABEL warns the players to not do anything too suspicious in-front of Nocta before going offline. Meanwhile, the players continue chatting with Moonman.

Moonman claims that Kaiden is suddenly acting much more friendly towards him... Additionally, he confirms that the glitchy footage seen in Kaiden's video was indeed a clip of Nocta - specifically it was from some sort of trip that Nocta, Yuukichan, and Kaiden all took together. He also implies that Yuukichan was ascended during this trip - something that Kaiden is understandably upset with.
On August 2nd, 2019, GHOSTBABEL continued chatting with the players. Unfortunately, by this point, the players had begun fighting once another yet again.

Don’t suppose you’d do us the courtesy of letting us know how you’d want to use our power before we decide?
Or would we just "owe you one" to be cashed in at some point?
GHOSTBABEL claims to know a secret that the players might be interested in hearing. In exchange for this information, the players offer to owe GHOSTBABEL a favor in the future - presumably a favor that involves them using their Ocarina powers to assist them. After discussing the deal with the others, the player otherLiam returns with an answer:

GHOSTBABEL reveals their shocking secret - most of the players in the Astral Timeline were killed. The only confirmed survivor is Moonman and possibly IsocelesAssassin if the theory that they are Circlehunter is true. Before leaving, GHOSTBABEL tells the players to ask Moonman for more information, claiming that they haven't been entirely truthful and forthcoming by hiding this from the players. Interestingly, GHOSTBABEL also quotes something Doug said during the first arc of Johnisdead - "Time is like a computer, it can be hacked".
On August 3rd, 2019, Moonman once again became active on Discord, giving the players an opportunity to ask him about the fates of their alternate selves:
I'm here
Do you mind if I ask you kind of a bummer question?
I hate to harsh your mellow but it’s important.
What happened to the rest of the Internet Detectives in your timeline?
yeah wow
ok
well ok
the internet detectives were pretty active for a while
I wanna say until late 2017 maybe early 2018
and they just disappeared.
well most of us
Who was left? You and anyone else we might know?
those were the only ones who didn’t vanish
He was the spanish guy I mentioned before
He was def spanish because his english was not great and posted spanish memes
but he liked Yugioh, so
You say they "vanished". Do you mean like, they just left the group and didn’t come online anymore, or full on missing-person-case dropped off the earth irl?
Most of them have grieving families.
What were they incestigating
I’d rather not think too much more about it to be honest with you. But I’ll answer what I can manage.
That being said I don’t honestly remember what the goal was at the time, I always had a foot somewhere else doing other shit.
a lot of stuff seems the same as far as i can tell, except the names of IDs and various events are dramatically different
also I’m under the impression there was no Nocta in your perspective of the group
as far as IsocelesAssassin I’m pretty sure he’s CircleHunter to you guys
Moonman confirms that most of the Astral Internet Detectives were killed in either late 2017 or early 2018. He also confirms that IsocelesAssasssin is indeed a former Astral Internet Detectives - the Astral Timeline version of Circlehunter. Additionally, he reveals the name of the Spanish user he mentioned previously - Yugi. Yugi was also a member of the Astral Internet Detectives and he is most likely the Astral Timeline version of the player Jos.
Shockingly, Moonman claims that Nocta was also a member of the Astral Internet Detectives.
after the bullshit with youshouldnthavedonethat.net
Nocta dipped in shortly after - like in early 2017
When most of your friend group dies other shit seems irrelevant even when it clearly is.
You've been through a lot - more than any of us.
Weve been involved and have been trying to help and save people but despite all that weve never truly suffered or been put at risk
And once you were on AO im sure things didnt improve
Which reminds me- how did you get invovled with AO?
Well Nocta sort of dipped out for a bit from ID. After that happened all the scariest shit went down.
I tracked him down myself and idk, I joined in because I wanted to see how he was doing.
I thought it was important to keep the connections that were still around going
Anyway he had set up a shittier version of AO by that point.
I was worried about him but the more he let me in the more parallels with stuff I’d seen before, but more real to me.
So I felt, in the crumbled spirit of ID that remained, I had sort of a g o d l y responsibility to make sure shit didn’t go too far.
Seems I failed lol.
Anyways the spirit of WH from my world lives in on in basically just me and IA now, though he’s... different, now.
Anyways I’m gonna bounce. This was also fucking depressing.
Moonman claims that Nocta joined the Astral Internet Detectives shortly after the activation of the Killswitch in early 2017. However, he left shortly before the rest of the Astral Internet Detectives were killed. Afterwards, Moonman tracked him down and discovered that he had created an earlier version of the Astral Observatory - likely in July of 2018. Moonman noticed that this group seemed eerily similar to the Moon Children and Lunar Children so he felt it was his duty to stop it from going too far. Unfortunately, he failed.
He also notes that IsocelesAssassin seems "different" now, though he doesn't elaborate how...
On August 6th, 2019, the players noticed that Johnisdead.com now required a password to enter. Interestingly, the text for the sign-in box read as follows: "Aggregation in progress". Later that night, GHOSTBABEL continued chatting with the players:

GHOSTBABEL claims that they are currently working on a way to get the players back into Johnisdead.com. However, the players' continued use of The Ocarina has somehow hastened the movements of their enemies, shortening the amount of time they have to get back in.
If you could give us some sense of direction we wouldn’t need to grasp in the dark like this.

Though it's not yet time for the players to attempt to break into the Subspace, GHOSTBABEL gives them a secondary during the meantime - luring Nocta back out and gaining his trust. GHOSTBABEL claims that Nocta is desperate for new followers. If enough players gain his trust, they may gain access to the Subspace without the need to break in.
GHOSTBABEL also reveals the name of another deceased Astral Internet Detective - YOUNG_LINK, the Astral Timeline incarnation of the player ADULT_LINK.

GHOSTBABEL explains a bit more of their backstory. They claim that they were once locked in a "box" by the Wyndstrom Institution - the enigmatic organization from the ARG "I Am 979". However, the player Circlehunter helped free them from this box. At some point GHOSTBABEL was recaptured by the institute and locked again. However, this time they were freed by the Astral Timeline version of Circlehunter - IsocelesAssassin. This is why they owe IsocelesAssassin a debt and feel some degree of fondness towards them. Additionally, GHOSTBABEL explains what they're planning on using the players favor involving The Ocarina for. They're hoping to escape their timeline and the Wyndstrom Institution.
GHOSTBABEL also cryptically implies that IsocelesAssassin has been using some sort of advanced time travel... However, the don't reveal why or to what extent.

Regarding Moonman
by nocta » August 8th, 2019, 9:14 pm
Hello everyone, is with a heavy heart I let you know that I have banned Moonman. Investigation has led me to discover that he was responsible for the excess of forum spam from bots that we have received, and would continue to receive were registration not stringently controlled as of now. You can thank him for our extremely limited registration capabilities, which will have to continue that way until further notice.

Just as the post claimed, the players found that Moonman was now banned from the forums... Shortly afterwards, GHOSTBABEL contacted the players:

GHOSTBABEL suggests that Moonman might be in severe danger - him being banned is just a convenient cover story concocted by Nocta to explain his sudden disappearance.
So if he’s retrievable we’d like to retrieve him.

GHOSTBABEL offers to assist the players in rescuing Moonman. However, doing this will further delay their overall goal of access the Subspace. In exchange, GHOSTBABEL wants the players to give them Helper's Hat - specifically the version of Helper's Hat from the Prime Timeline. GHOSTBABEL claims that the version of Helpers Hat from the Astral Timeline is already in someone's possession - IsocelesAssassin. How exactly this came to be is unknown, though...

GHOSTBABEL implies that this is their only chance to save Moonman because things will begin to "change dramatically" once they gain access to the full Subspace. However, the process to saving Moonman will only require them to access a small portion of the Subspace. GHOSTBABEL also speculates that the players' continued use of The Ocarina is partially what spurred Nocta into attacking Moonman. It's possible that the players made him feel pressured.
After discussing GHOSTBABEL's proposal, the players eventually agreed to it.

GHOSTBABEL explains that they will briefly take control of Astralobservatory.net and post something. This will be a signal for the players.
On August 9th, 2019, GHOSTBABEL posted the following message in the Safehaven Discord server:
Upon checking Astralobservatory.net, the players noticed that there was a new announcement on the site's front page - one from GHOSTBABEL.

Seven years ago…
August 9, 2019 - Uncategorized
Seven years is a long time ago, isn’t it? What happened today seven years ago?
Upon checking the date, the players realized that this was the seven year anniversary of the original Within Hubris's destruction on August 8th, 2012. Why exactly this was being referenced is a mystery... Regardless, players noticed that the question mark in GHOSTBABEL's post above was actually a link - one that took players to a Hole within Astralobservatory.net. As a reminder, a "Hole" refers to a series of different webpages that usually need to be navigated by solving ciphers or finding hidden links.
astralobservatory.net/split
This page was titled "rift" and contained a cipher that translated to the following: ""…and with a flash of light, space had been torn asunder. The very fabric she had wove so many centuries ago had now been ripped, and from the split formed a /crack"".
rift.mp3
The cipher on the page above led the players to...
astralobservatory.net/split/crack
This page was titled "ERROR" and contained a cipher that translated to the following: ""There were none who could stop it. The crack grew, sprawling across the sky. Space and time shattered, descending upon the sinners below. What was once the sky was now but a chaotic, indescribable rift."".
crack.mp3
The cipher on the page above led the players to...
astralobservatory.net/split/crack/rift
This page was titled "SUBSPACE" and contained a cipher that translated to the following: ""The sky was falling. The people were crying. All that was left was an all consuming hole."".
fissure.mp3
The text found on the pages above seemed to be telling of some cataclysmic event in which time and space were suddenly shattered. Interestingly, the text "The sky was falling. The people were crying." is very reminiscent of some text that was originally discovered on YSHDT.com back in 2015...
However, the text on this final page led to the players discovering yet another page:
Remaining on the page above for too long would redirect players to...
astralobservatory.net/hole/dive
This page's title was originally a cipher that translated to "transmission".
dive.mp3
The cipher on the page above led the players to...
astralobservatory.net/hole/dive/transmission
This page was titled "Accept transmission?". This page also contained a pop-up that would appear in the players' browsers.
transmission.mp3
The following was a pop-up on the page above:
The sudden appearance of Moonman-related imagery implied that the players were getting close... However, they also found something a bit confusing... The pop-up titled "Dead One" depicted a distorted version of the player Circlehunter's avatar. This seemed to imply that the player Circlehunter was dead, but this clearly was not the case. It was also clear that his Astral Timeline counterpart IsocelesAssassin was also alive. For the time being, this strange implication that there was a dead version of the player Circlehunter was left a mystery...
Regardless, the players took the helpful hint left on this pop-up and discovered a new page:
astralobservatory.net/hole/dive/transmission/betwixt
This page was titled "Enter The Between". It also contained a cipher that translate to "kcol\
betwixt.mp3
The cipher on the page above led the players to...
astralobservatory.net/hole/dive/transmission/betwixt/lock
This page was titled "TerribleFate". This page also hid the text "he locked it with the name of his dearly beloved /(8CHAR)bris The key was lost many years ago.". Also, its audio was also initially reversed. A corrected version can be found below:
withinhubris7.mp3
The name of the audio file on this page was likely another reference to how the original version of Within Hubris was deleted seven years prior. This audio contained a small speech which is transcribed below:
Audio begins playing in reverse.
A distorted version of the song "My Leather, My Fur, My Nails" by Stepdad plays.
An edited version of the characters Harry and Dahlia from the game "Silent Hill" begin speaking:
Harry: "Why are you doing this?"
Dahlia: "It’s been a long seven years. For the seven years since that terrible day, WITHIN HUBRIS has been kept alive, suffering a fate worse than death. WITHIN HUBRIS has been trapped in endless cycle from which she never awakens. He has been nurtured by that nightmare, waiting for the day to be born."
This speech is originally from the game "Silent Hill". However, it has been slightly edited so it sounds like the characters are discussing Within Hubris. Additionally, the song "My Leather, My Fur, My Nails" by Stepdad is playing - a song that several players posted in remembrance of the original Within Hubris back in 2012 shortly after it was deleted.
This page's text also contained a riddle:
He locked it with the name of his dearly beloved
/(8CHAR)bris
The key was lost many years ago.
Who exactly this "He" is referring to is unknown. However, the players quickly found the answer to this puzzle. "8CHAR" is short for "Eight Characters", meaning eight letters. Adding the eight letters of "withinhu" to "bris" gives the players their answer - "withinhubris", which was "lost many years ago", just as the riddle states. This led the players to another new page:
astralobservatory.net/hole/dive/transmission/betwixt/lock/withinhubris
This page was titled "gift".
prize.mp3
The players had finally found their timeline's version of Helper's Hat, though how and why it ended up within the Astral Observatory's Subspace is still a mystery...
On August 10th, 2019, GHOSTBABEL regrouped with the players.

GHOSTBABEL seems quite pleased with the players' efforts and claim that they're currently following a lead to uncover Moonman's location. Additionally, something has happened recently that has divided Nocta's attention... This is most likely referencing some activity that took place on Discord involving the mysterious spectrum of entities from before. However, once again, this will be covered in the next story page.
On August 12th, 2019, GHOSTBABEL returned to the players with another update:

Given that we're pretty sure our CircleHunter is still alive, our thoughts jumped to the thought that his counterpart in your world might be in danger.
The players bring up the mysterious "Dead One" mention to GHOSTBABEL. However, GHOSTBABEL assures them that IsocelesAssassin is still alive, leaving this "Dead One" message unexplained...
On August 13th, 2019, the players discovered another new page on Astralobservatory.net:
astralobservatory.net/entrancement
This page was titled "Prisoner" and the image and audio on it were references to the "Song of Time" from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask. This page also contained two pop-ups:
turiya.mp3
The following two pages were pop-up's on the page above:
At the time, many players were confused about this page's purpose. Some began theorizing that this was a page GHOSTBABEL created as a part of the process to bring back Moonman. This would mean that the transmission mentioning it was actually someone notifying Nocta of its existence so that he could stop the players' attempt to bring back Moonman. Fearing for GHOSTBABEL's safety, the players began relentlessly "pinging" her. For context, "pinging" is a function on Discord that allows users to notify others users in the hopes of getting their attnetion.
However, it wasn't until August 21st, 2019 when they were finally contacted by GHOSTBABEL once again:

GHOSTBABEL claims that they did not create the page, disproving the players' theory. This implies that this page was created by someone else - possibly by Nocta as a place to keep Moonman prisoner. GHOSTBABEL also implies that the content found on the page should have been an obvious hint on what the players should do - submitting the "Song of Time".
Afterwards, the player Jos submits the "Song of Time", as instructed. However, this resulted in something unexpected happening... The Astral Observatory Forums began heavily corrupting:

It’s good that you all are not rushing in blindly. I’ve warned you of such things before.
However you mustn’t be too afraid to act.

And now even I am unsure what exactly is taking place in this time-space mess that once was the Astral Observatory.
IsocelesAssassin claims that the reason why the Astral Observatory Forums are currently corrupted is because the players waited too long to submit the "Song of Time", which usually operates within a three day window. Now, the forums are experiencing some sort of strange time-space corruption, implying that the messages currently found within it are from different timelines.
Interestingly, IsocelesAssassin claims he's warned the players about how to use The Ocarina in the past. However, the players don't recall ever having any interactions like this with him since he joined the forums... This might suggest that they've somehow spoken with him before without realizing it.
At this point, the best we can hope for is if you manage to undo what you’ve done here.
And hope that Greth will not be out of our grasp yet.
Alternatively, the Song of Double Time could cause Astral Observatory to break down twice as fast.
there’s nowhere to submit it.
He seems to bend it to his will, constantly changing the rules when needed.
Using your powers here likely would work, though I wouldn’t make a habit of it.
As we’ve seen in the past, it does seem to often rely on set locations, only rarely being used outside of them.
My point is simply that these powers seem to often be anchored in places, though they can rarely be used outside of them.
I have plenty of experience with them, but I don’t truly understand how exactly they work either.
IsocelesAssassin assures the players that they will likely be able to utilize The Ocarina by posting submissions within the Safehaven Discord server. However, he warns against doing this too much. He claims that The Ocarina is often "anchored" to specific places and that attempting to use it outside of those places may not work.
Compounding this mess with another one would likely only make matters worse.
It’s not yet time to tear it all down.
((The player Slinky uses a Discord bot command to post the "Elegy of Emptiness".))
NOOOOOOOO
I DIDNT REALIZEEEED
ᴛʜᴀᴛ ᴍᴀʏ ʜᴀᴠᴇ ʙᴇᴇɴ ᴀ ʜᴜɢᴇ ᴍɪsᴛᴀᴋᴇ.
I sincerely didn’t believe it was possible for the Astral Observatory to go any further to shit but alas.
Even I have no clue what effect this will have.
While the players were carefully planning their next submission, the player Slinky accidentally submitted the "Elegy of Emptiness" by using a Discord bot. For context, there are various different programs called "Bots" that you can add to Discord servers. One of these bots has a command that can search and embed YouTube videos. In an attempt to compare some audio to the "Elegy of Emptiness", the player Slinky accidentally submitted it in the process.
As a result of the song's submission, the Astral Observatory Forums went completely offline, leaving only a default error screen in their place. In the meantime, the players began asking IsocelesAssassin more details about the Astral Timeline:
IA, did you all kill Tenebris in your timeline?
We voted to kill.
what was your relationship with Tyler like?
He believed we were responsible for Johnisdead.com and were simply trolls. This was back in 2015.
Yes. If I recall it was thanks to the usage of the Song of Soaring and the Stone Mask.
So far, the Astral Timeline and Prime Timeline seem to share many similarities and there seem to be no major differences prior to 2017...
in our timeline, Greth was stalked and haunted by someone possesed by Patrem and forcibly became his new host
it seems unlikely that happened to yours, correct?
And you’re correct, Greth in our timeline never became his host.
Or rather, I feel it’d be a bad idea.
Also, Greth certainly believed there to be a traitor, and I can understand why he did.
Unfortunately, IsocelesAssassin refuses to say who Patrem possessed in 2018 in the Astral Timeline. He believes that revealing this would potentially put him in danger and somehow make the players suspicious... Additionally, he also refuses to say who it was exactly that Moonman believed to be a traitor - likely for the same reasons.
If I’m remembering correctly, the Lunar Children site remained inactive after 2016 or so.
I don’t know the exact specifics as details are scarce. Nocta has been playing it a lot more safely as of late.
I only know that Tyler is being held somewhere until further notice.
At least, that’s what I’ve been able to decipher from what information I’ve been able to get a hold of.
After further questioning, the players do manage to find some interesting differences between the two timelines. First, José never appeared in the Astral Timeline. Because of this, Lunarchildren.com remained offline after 2016. Secondly, the Astral Timeline version of Tyler is currently being held somewhere - presumably after being kidnapped again... IsocelesAssassin implies that Nocta is aware of this and possibly involved to some degree.
is there anything else you want to tell us?
Before departing, IsocelesAssassin once again implies that they've spoken to the players in the past...
On August 23rd, 2019, GHOSTBABEL returned with another update:

GHOSTBABEL has offered to fix Astralobservatory.net, realizing that doing so could technically fall under their role of assisting the players in ultimately accessing the Subspace. In order to do this, they will revert the website back to how it was during its chaotic, temporally warped state. However, GHOSTBABEL warns that this will be dangerous because it will potentially allow something from within the Parallelos to slip in...
We know the Astral Observatory website is down, and that it was previously in a state of temporal flux.
What does that actually mean outside of the website, though?
Are the people that post on the website actually effected by these things?

GHOSTBABEL clarifies that Yuukichan's spirit is indeed being held as a prisoner. They also speculate that her spirit is being used to bind Astralobservatory.net and Johnisdead.com... GHOSTBABEL also reiterates that the forum posts that the players were seeing were various different timelines.

Shortly afterward, Astralobservatory.net returned - albeit in its broken, time warped state.
The players acted quickly. Hoping to stabilize the temporal chaos, they submitted the "Inverted Song of Time". Thankfully, this submission was a success, undoing the chaos inflicted by the "Song of Time". The Astral Observatory Forums returned, though Moonman was no longer banned and Nocta's post regarding him was gone.
On August 24th, 2019, the players saw a surprise visitor become active in their chatroom:
Tenebris is here already, we can’t undo that, and I’m sorry 4 that again, but we also opened the door for moonman right?
How're you feeling?
I have had a strange time recently
I can’t really explain it, but it was like I was exactly where I normally am, but also not.
You can tell you’re in a different space, and then eventually you realize it’s a completely different place
and then slowly reality becomes this nightmarish psychedelic vision of echoing traumas - but also maybe not
that is how I perceived it and it was terrible
At some point I heard a song. It was soothing and I felt like I was being drawn back towards home
but the second song just ripped shit asunder and i saw something and then it ran off into somewhere
well after that i continued to follow where the first had been leading me, but everything was moving too fast
the third song that played made me realize it was all of you and i reached out you pulled me back here
i saw another thing, just like the second time -it was different, but also scary
let me just say it's literally indescribable, but the only thing i can like really summon up into words is orange, weirdly
Just so I’m sure I get it, you saw one thing when the second song played, then when you were leaving you saw a second, different thing?
two separate entities
Moonman is safe and back home. He describes a bit of what he witnessed. He claims that his surroundings seemed normal at first, but over time they slowly warped and became more nightmarish. When the players played the "Song of Time", he felt as though he were being called back home... However, upon the submission of the "Elegy of Emptiness", his surroundings became much more chaotic. He also witnessed some sort of entity run off somewhere... Later on, the submission of the "Inverted Song of Time" slowed the chaos, allowing Moonman to find his way back home. However, on his way back, he witnessed an indescribable entity that he could only describe as "orange" - possibly something that snuck in from the Parallelos, as warned by GHOSTBABEL.
The second song being the Elegy, and GB doing his giggery-pokery to bring AO back doing something similar.
right before the last song was played i saw an image

Moonman confirms that Nocta was somehow involved in the attack that led to his miserable state. Meanwhile, GHOSTBABEL leaves in disgust at the mention of Homestuck.
Ultimately, the players had successfully rescued one of their allies. In the process, they had gained two new ones. Unfortunately, this required the players to invite an unknown "orange" foe into their world...
However, before we continue on, we must first go back to the beginning of the Our Horizon Arc and continue following the complex story of two battling entities...
