The story so far...
In the previous section, the player Greth began uploading casual videos to a new YouTube channel - Greth Vlogs. This these started out fairly mundane with Greth simply giving the players a tour of his new apartment. However, players did notice some oddities. Firstly, the names of Greth's two roommates were familiar - Mat and Ben. Additionally, Greth seemed to have a strange white mask in his closet... Over time, Greth Vlogs began exhibiting more strange occurrences. A mysterious figure wearing an alien mask dubbed "The Watcher" would make occasional brief appearances. Greth also began hearing sounds coming from outside his new home... Eventually, Greth began suffering from insomnia. Around this same time, The Watcher seemingly gained some degree of control over his new YouTube channel and uploaded some cryptic videos... If this weren't bad enough, it now seemed as though Greth were being stalked by a green-tinted entity - one not too dissimilar from The Four Giants.
In an attempt to get away from his apartment, Greth departed for a hiking trip. Here, he accidentally stumbled across Tyler, who had just been teleported by interacting with the Detour Sign. After this, Tyler and Greth met up and shared what little they knew about the histories of the Moon Children and Lunar Children. Tyler also revealed that he was now studying runes and Odin. Meanwhile, SKM left a cryptic message on Silentdork - presumably in an attempt to contact someone...
Over time, Greth's condition worsened. He seemingly became more secretive and desperate as a result of his insomnia. Eventually, the players began fearing for his mental and physical health. As a final resort, they used The Ocarina to submit the "Goron's Lullaby", finally allowing him to sleep. However, this would turn out to be a mistake. Upon falling asleep, Greth's body was overtaken by Patrem as it was revealed that he is Patrem's new vessel. With the sudden return of a powerful foe, the players begin searching for answers...

On October 22nd, 2018, players discovered that Johnisdead.com was once again accessible. The site now featured a distorted image of Tyler titled "maj.jpg" and the audio "recuit.mp3". The page's source code also hid the text "howdoesitwork" repeated countless times. Addtionally, the site's favicon was now a small, crudely-drawn smiley face.
The next day on October 23rd, 2018, the site updated once again. The page was now titled "construction" and once again featured the distorted green-tinted image of Tyler titled "awaken.jpg". The site also once again featured Redirect Pages. However, the only one that existed at the time was "https://johnisdead.com/home.html", which was an exact copy of the previous front page that featured "maj.jpg". The rest of the Redirect Pages were simply redirects to outside sources such as the Silentdork YouTube channel, Youshouldnthavedonethat.net, Greth Vlogs, and more.
However, on October 24th, 2018, the player Jos noticed that one of these redirects linked to a brand new website - Astralobservatory.net. This site took on the appearance of a simple Wordpress blog:
The "Astral Observatory" is likely a reference to a location from The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask that shared the same name. As the name implied, this in-game location was an observatory that Link visited fairly early on. However, it's relation to this website wasn't exactly clear...
Regardless, the front page of Astralobservatory.net contained two announcements:

This is a website dedicated to sharing news, opinions, and thoughts from an underground collective that believe in what some may call paranormal or supernatural. We believe in that modern society has pulled a warm blanket over our eyes, trying to lull us into a false reality in which the masses, now imperceptible to the greater machinations of the universe, are more malleable for cooperation.
We have been exposed to some of the truths that shattered that illusion, and now we seek more.

The announcement above is an introductory post. Here, it's claimeed that Astralobservatory.net is a site where like-minded individuals can have supernatural or paranormal discussions. Interestingly, it's also implied that the group already has some sort of secretive knowledge that has "shattered the illusion" of society and possibly reality itself. This announcement was originally posted a few months ago on July 28th, 2018.
Malicious Attack; Forums Offline
October 22, 2018 - News
Dearest believers,
I have some news you may find unfortunate. On Sunday morning, around 12am, this site was taken offline. I do not know how or why, but during that time our bandwidth was temporarily re-purposed for another website, ‘johnisdead.com’. While I’m not sure why this has happened, I can only conclude it was some form of malicious hack. Please stay patient while I work to get my previous posts on this website back up, and work to restore the forums to their former glory. For now the forums are locked.
We will get through this.
The post above states that Astralobservatory.net went offline yesterday on Sunday, October 21st. It claims that the site's bandwidth was somehow stolen by Johnisdead.com. Though the site has since come back online, their forums are still being reconstructed.
While this explanation is suspect, it does seem as though Astralobservatory.net and Johnisdead.com share some sort of connection. The fact that Astralobservatory.net went offline around the same time that it was added to Johnisdead.com's redirect list is very suspicious...
On October 25th, 2018, players discovered that attempting to access a non-existent page would now briefly bring players to a separate page before taking them to one of the site's Redirect Pages. This separate page was titled "lost?" and contained a dark image of Tenebris titled "ha.png". It also hid the text "find your way" in its source.
On October 31st, 2018, Halloween had arrived. Upon checking Astralobservatory.net, the players discovered a new announcement:

Hello everyone,
I have both good news and bad news to report today, Oct. 31st.
The good news is that soon, our forums will be up and running once again!
The bad news is, most of the our previous posts have become corrupted. I was unable to salvage anything but the protected forum. Some users may need to find that they will need to re-register themselves, even.
We will rebuild.
It seems the Astral Observatory now has functioning forums once again. Unfortunately, the old posts from before the site went offline have been corrupted, forcing their users to recreate their accounts.
Shortly after this post, the players found their way to the Astral Observatory Forums:
The forums were divided up across the following boards and sections:

- Help & FAQ - "A board for asking questions that either nocta or another can answer; the board rules are also posted in here."
- Introductions - "Introduce yourself here"
- General Discussion - "Talk about anything not relevant to the other discussion forums here"

- Ghosts / Demonology
- Political Conspiracy
- Supernatural, Folklore, & Ect
- Forum
- The Truth - "Only those chosen may enter here; the greatest truths that only the ready minds are capable of discussing are within here; to access you will need to belong to the 'Believers' usergroup or above"
These boards all seemed fairly standard for a website centered around paranormal discussion and conspiracies. However, the obvious exception was the "The Truth" board. This was clearly reminiscent of the enigmatic "The Truth" page from Youshouldnthavedonethat.net. Keeping with tradition, this board was locked. As mentioned in the board's description, only users who were in the "Believers" user group could access it.
Further exploration of the forums revealed that there were already five users signed up for it - pre-existing members before the site went offline. These users will be covered as we progress through their various posts on the forums. The first post was from a user named "Nocta" in the "Help & FAQ" board:

Nocta is labelled as the Site Admin and belongs to two separate user groups - Leader and Truth Seekers. This implies he's responsible for posting the announcements on the site's front page.
Nocta's site rules all seem pretty normal - the only outlier being the strict warning to not to try and access "The Truth" board.

The thread above is the introduction thread of a user named Moonman. Nocta implies that Moonman has a history of being a mischievous internet troll. Despite this, the other users seem fond of him and welcome him back warmly. These include a girl named Yuukichan and a man named NotAHoax_M12 - both of whom will be covered in more detail shortly. Moonman seems to have a fondness for the character "Mac Tonight" - an old McDonalds mascot who has been used as an icon for both vaporwave and edgy jokes on the internet.
Interestingly, NotAHoax mentions another user - Samuel. Upon checking the user list, the players discovered that there was indeed a member named Samuel_Charleston who joined the forums around the same time Nocta did. He was also the only other user who was in the "Truth Seekers" user group, implying that he held some degree of importance. Unfortunately, he hadn't made any posts yet, which left him shrouded in mystery...

The thread above is an introduction for Yuukichan - a rather bubbly and cheerful member of the forums. She seems to be a fan of anime - specifically for the series "The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya", as her avatar and forum signature both feature a prominent character from it - "Yuki Nagato". Interestingly, Yuuki claims that someone she refers to as "grampa" has created an account on the forums but not yet posted. This is likely referring to Samuel Charleston, as he was the only pre-existing user who had not posted yet.

This thread was posted as NotAHoax's introduction. Judging by his avatar, he seems to be a fan of conspiracies involving aliens and UFO's. His username is also likely a reference to the "Majestic 12" - a conspiracy surrounding a secret government committee that's often said to be involved with alien-related matters.

I stumbled across this place while looking up some rad music from Majora's Mask. I expected this place to be some sort of Zelda fan-board so I was a bit surprised to see people talking about aliens and stuff, lol. That's good, though. I've always been interested in listening to theories and stuff on YouTube, even ones that people say are a bit "out there" like the hollow Earth and hollow Moon stuff. Anyways, yeah, I'll probably stick around a bit, so what's up guys

In the thread above, the players Wolfcat and Jos post their introductions and are warmly greeted by the Astral Observatory members. However, Nocta calls one of the players a "detective", implying that he's already aware of the Internet Detectives... This led to the players speculating whether or not Nocta is an old foe from their past...

One thing is clear, the universe is so big and vast that saying they don't exist would be ridiculous in the eyes of stadistics I don't think we are the first intelligent species, and I don't think there is not a only planet out there in the life zone of a star. What are your thoughts, you think they came to observe us, or they are contacting the biggest gov in secret? or there is no aliens near our star?

The players and the Astral Observatory members were getting along quite well... Amongst the sharing of anime gifs, the players noticed an interesting detail - Yuukichan claimed that there was a previous anime-related thread on the board before it went offline and was corrupted. She claims that this thread was 1000 pages long, meaning that this previous version of the Astral Observatory Forums was quite active...
However, over on the "Supernatural, Folklore & Etc" board, the Astral Observatory members were discussing something a bit more serious...

This proved that Nocta was not only aware of who the players were - he was also familiar with various details regarding the uploads found on Greth Vlogs. The fact that he deleted this message seems to imply that he's trying to hide something from the other members of the Astral Observatory...

As the forums come back online, and while our previous users find my previous post and continue to rejoin, there is something I would like to address: new users
We have always been a lightly secluded gathering of folk, but we have always embraced new users and brought them into the fold; there is, however, a small influx of users joining that are related to ‘johnisdead’.
I suppose I knew this would happen, and there’s only one way to address. Welcome them, teach them, and embrace them... with one eye open.
These users will be placed into the ‘Internet Detectives’ usergroup as they are identified (that name is what they already call themselves in other parts of the internet).
Keep lips sealed on certain subjects. Stay wary.
Change their minds.
As mentioned above, the players now discovered that they were now all in a new forum user group named "Internet Detectives". Nocta was seemingly attempting to paint the players in a suspicious light to Moonman, NotAHoax, and Yuukichan by claiming they held some connection to Johnisdead.com - the same site that supposedly corrupted their forums. If this weren't bad enough, Moonman, NotAHoax, and Yuukicham were all members of the "Believers" user group, meaning they had access to The Truth while the players did not. Because of this, Nocta could potentially lie about the players and they wouldn't be able to defend themselves..
Additionally, Nocta warned the others to "keep lips sealed on certain subjects", proving that the group was hiding something... This secretive subject matter was likely what was contained within The Truth. Although this board remained locked to the players, they could still occasionally see the post and thread count within it go up, meaning that some degree of activity was taking place inside of it.
Shortly after this, the players discovered that Johnisdead.com had updated. The front page was now titled "The timer (won’t) reset" and contained a distorted image of a moon and a smiling face titled "infinitecycle.gif". Additionally, the page also featured some haunting audio titled "brokencycles.ogg
Later that night, Tyler uploaded a new video to Silentdork - "experiments".

Video I recorded about a week before the last one that came out all messed up in my phone and I could not get it to work. But I checked my phone today and suddenly it works now. Must be that Samhain magic I guess. I have not messed with the sign much more since that point. I have been waiting for that guy I hung out with last time to come back again so maybe I could try and see if he would like to help me try a few Ideas I have had with it. Also johnisdead.com seems to have come back since then, but Archive guy never emailed me or anything like he said he would. Not sure what the deal is with that but I assume he is probably just really busy. The cult main site is not back however and idk what the deal is with that.

This video begins with Tyler recording outside his house. He approaches the "Detour Sign" and begins speaking.
Tyler: "Hey, everybody. So, it's been a little while since my last video, not counting the, uh... that- that... that thing that got uploaded. I mean... I don't really know what to say about that, 'cause I mean by now I'm just kinda numb to the concept of shit getting uploaded to my channel that was not uploaded by me. But, uh... Ow, shit, that's hot. Um... I wanted to do a video today, because if you remember this thing has just kinda popped into my life, and... I mean, it just looks like a fucking "Detour Sign" really, but... there are some strange properties this thing seems to have."
Tyler is now touching the "Detour Sign", inspecting it. While he's touching it, a strange, moaning sound is emitted from the sign and a faint corruption can be seen.
Tyler: "And, uh... You know, I was doing all the, uh, the Lunar Children research. Uh, that's mostly dead-end stuff. A combination of dead-end stuff and scary stuff, because people don't react well whenever you bluntly ask about that kinda shit around here. But, uh... yeah, the "Detour Sign". Um... last video that, uh, I recorded myself and uploaded myself, um... it kinda seemed like the- this thing... there's a bug, get off me. Kinda seemed like this thing sorta causes you to teleport... And, uh... Yeah, not really sure how or why? Um... I am assuming though, whatever this is, it has something to do with, uh, the... the "magic bullshit" regarding that website. Uhh, "Johnisdead.com", which is down right now, by the way. Um... didn't mean for this to be like, uh, update vlog kinda thing, but uh..."
The video cuts ahead.
Tyler: "Shit, sorry. I-I guess standing too close to this thing for too long causes, uh... some kinda, like... I guess, like, device, uh... fuckery. ((Laughs)) But, uh, what was I saying... Oh yeah. Um..."
The video begins corrupting again.
Tyler: "Anyways, I didn't mean for this to be, like, uh... talking about, like... every other thing in my life kinda vlog video, but uh... there's a couple of guys I've been in contact with. Um... Yeah, I should mention, uh, and I'm sure probably plenty of you already know Johnisdead.com and, uh, the Lunar Children website are both down. That's because, uh, this other guy is now kinda in charge of the thing."
The video cuts once again.
Tyler: "Jesus Christ, my phone. Okay, lemme just like, uh, get away from that thing. Uh... What was I saying, oh yeah. Um... this guy I've been in contact with- a couple of guys, actually. There's a guy named, uh, Jose... or, as he's called on the blog that's now down, uh, the "Archive Guy". Uh, I got in contact with him whenever I noticed that there were changes happening on the Lunar Children website that didn't seem culty. Um... all I really know about him is, uh, basically shit that he already said in his one blog post which is, uh, he's just got some friends who were friends of friends who had relatives, I guess, in the Lunar Children, and I guess there was like a big sorta cataclysmic event for them that occurred and they all disappeared, so these, like, people of distant relation are just trying to figure out what the fuck happened there and he's just their friend, and they don't know how to do fucking anything with computers so he's just kinda managing the salvaged network content off of the, uh... I guess, oddly enough, this, uh, server that was actually inside of that, uh... that old, rundown fishery. I don't know, anybody that pays attention I guess might remember I mentioned some computers that were there that seemed like they were actually working and turns out, hey they were actually working, and they were apparently actually hosting these websites. I don't know, maybe... maybe that's just news to me, and uh... some of you people out there somehow already knew that. But, uh, that's news to me and that's kinda fucking weird. Um... But yeah, right now they're offline because, uh, he's just having some financial issues - Jose. Um, I don't know if I'm supposed to be saying his real name, but, uh... He's just having some financial issues, so he can't manually host himself. Um... A little too much on his electric bill, I guess. But, uh... Yeah - that's basically what's going on with that. Um, he's just trying to, like, prune the content and, nice guy that he is, he said of course he'll be- I'll be first to be informed if he finds, like, anything new. Seeing as this- seeing the tie-in pretty close to me for a lot of weird reasons. Um... other guy I'm in contact with, uh..."
The video cuts once again as we can hear the "Detour Sign" moaning.
Tyler: "Damn, my fucking camera right now. But, anyways, um... Oh yeah, the guy - the other guy. Uh, Tony. Who... I met through the YouTube comment section, actually. I've - I've been making a handful of friends there, actually. A lot of them, uh, not like the most clear English speakers, but that's actually okay. But, uh... Yeah, uh, Tony... I guess wants to come hang out. I guess, uh... he said that he, like, has experience with the kinds of issues I'm dealing with here, whatever the fuck that means. But... You know, I've - I've been basically a hermit for about seven or so years, save for like associates with employees at jobs, so fuck it. I haven't, like, had any serious serious reason in the last year or so to believe I'm still actively being stalked by a cult, so why do I need to act like one of those like "targeted individuals" bastards. I wanna have friends, so you know, I'm just gonna let this Tony guy come on over. Maybe he wants to kill me, I don't know. I know nothing about this guy. He mentioned some shit about, like, some fucking Discord internet group he wants me to get involved in. I don't remember what he said it was called, uh... Really this is completely irrelevant and I'm kinda like rambling at this point because this whole video was actually just supposed to be me talking about this magical fucking construction sign that has just materialized in from Johnisdead.com world, and, uh... yeah. Let's, like, get back to what this was supposed to be about - this construction sign. Detour sign.
Tyler approaches the "Detour Sign". Strange moaning can be heard again. The video cuts ahead a bit.
Tyler: "It seems to make you teleport..."
Tyler begins carrying the sign.
Tyler: "Carrying it over here... One thing I've worked out is I guess, um... I don't know if it's limited to short distances, because last time I fucked with it, the damn thing - well, the last time I recorded myself fucking with it..."
The video distorts further and it is difficult to hear Tyler.
Tyler: "-here to, uh... over there, like... in front of my house. But, uh... I don't know if it's limited to short distances, I don't know if there's a way to, uh, control it. I - I kinda feel half fucking retarded because I mean it's - it's just a fucking construction sign. I'm talking about it like it's some kinda machine, but, uh... "Detour". I don't understand what this really means, like does it mean detour from where I'm currently at? ((Laughs)) Like... You wanna walk off somewhere else, you run into this - oh, detour to other area. That's basically what happened, but last time - the non-recorded time I touched it, uh... I basically set it up right where it's at right now, and... I went instantly from here to right around where that sunshine is at over there. So again, I don't know if it's like, limited to short distances, or, what... I don't know what the science is behind this thing, and uh, I can't be sure that it has any direct relation to magic cult and moon demon guys. But, uh, I mean... got nothing better to do. I've hit all my dead ends on the Lunar Children people. So uh, yeah... The whole point of this video: documentary, how-how does this thing work. Uh, I've worked out it has to be standing up like this."
Tyler points to the sign, which is standing upright and planted on the ground.
Tyler: "You notice how like, I was touching it technically whenever I picked it up and carried it, and that didn't do anything. Uh, it's cause it doesn't do anything if it's not stood up. The other thing is you got uh, I guess you just gotta touch it. I don't know if where you touch it affects anything in particular. Uh,"
The sign begins strangely groaning again.
Tyler: "I remember before, I think I touched like, right over there..."
Tyler points to the bottom left of the sign.
Tyler: "And then the second time I think I touched, like, right over here?"
Tyler points slightly further down and to the right on the sign.
Tyler: "I'm assuming, again, I think this might be like the third time I've said this now... I'm assuming this has something to do with uh, everything. Just because I remember there was a lot of like, 'construction zone' imagery that I kept running into whenever I was trying to browse through stuff on JohnisDead.com. But, uh... Now lemme, actually try.... Maybe there's a speck right there, and I wanna sweep it off anyways. God, like... I will say uh, it's... it's a really nauseating feeling, just, I also gotta say. Just to describe whenever you're teleported, it feels like, that moment when ever you drop on like, a big rollercoaster. It's really, like, uh, kind of like a lighter than air, really nauseating feeling whenever you do this. So I am a little hesitant here. Like, that was no show I was putting on in that one video. That was me about to upchuck on the fucken ground. But uh, okay... yeah. I'm gonna go ahead, and..."
Tyler puts his whole hand on the sign, and the strange noises greatly increase in volume. A moment later, the video stutters, before Tyler is teleported and begins violently coughing on the ground. He doesn't appear to be anywhere near his house.
Tyler: "Oh, fuck..."
As Tyler stands, he sees Greth standing across the yard, playing out the same scene we saw from Greth's perspective in "Greth Vlogs 12: General Update".
Tyler: Who's that guy-"
Tyler accidentally grabs the sign again while standing himself up and is teleported back to his trailer.
Tyler: Shit, wait... Damnit. Fuck. Okay, hold on. Where did I touch it before... Right.... there."
Tyler tries to put his hand on the same spot he did the first time, and teleports once again. However, he just ends up back in his yard.
Tyler: "(coughing) Right when I thought I was... hoof, oh shit... right when I thought I was getting used to it... hoof. Two-two in a row- two in a row... or, technically three in a row, I guess, no good. No good. I am not feeling good now. Fuck. Fuck! Damnit. This... this is just my fucking yard still. Can't even fucking teleport out of my yard. Well, now that's a lie, because a minute ago that wasn't my yard. That was like, somewhere deep as shit in the fucken words. Aw, fuck. Who was that guy? Who was that fucken guy? Why was everything so fucken, like, shifty and weird? Fuck me. Hold on, let me... let me regain my composure here, and try this one more time. Maybe, at the very least, I can get a shortcut back to my front door. Shoulda took that when I had it. Okay... maybe try... here."
Tyler tries to put his hand on the middle of the sign, but nothing happens.
Tyler: "Well... that wasn't... Hold on."
Tyler smacks the sign a few times.
Tyler: "The phone isn't doing the fucken weird thing either. Shit. Fucken, honking ass fucken..."
Tyler keeps trying to put his hand on the sign, but to no avail.
Tyler: "Nothing. Hold on, let's see if something's fucken wrong now-"
The video ends with Tyler returning to his trailer.
Summary

First of all, this video's description and the various events that take place in it give some clarity to when exactly Tyler met Greth. The description reveals that this was the video that Tyler mentioned recording before the events of "A guest". Secondly, Tyler also mentions that he first met Greth, who he here refers to as "Tony", in his own comment section. Finally, within the video itself, we see Tyler touching the Detour Sign and warping in-front of Greth, as seen in "Greth Vlogs 12: General Update". So, considering all of the above, the timeline of events now looks like this:
- Greth contacts Tyler by commenting on some Silentdork videos.
- Greth and Tyler agree to meet up.
- Greth begins hiking near Tyler's home.
- Tyler touches the Detour Sign, warping in-front of Greth - as seen above and in Greth Vlogs 12.
- Tyler and Greth hang out, as seen in "A guest".
Either way, the important fact is that all of this took place back around August, which was before Greth became fully possessed by Patrem. Judging by this video's description, Tyler is completely unaware of this. He's actually hoping that Greth will visit once again and help him experiment with the Detour Sign some more.
During the video, Tyler also acknowledges that Johnisdead.com and Lunarchildren.com were both offline at the time. He speculated that this was simply due to José suffering from some financial issues. However, in the video's description, Tyler notes that Johnisdead.com has now returned. Strangely, he hasn't received any further contact from José... Given the lack of communication from José and Johnisdead.com's strange behavior, his fate is uncertain...
As for the actual contents of the video, Tyler can be seen experimenting with the Detour Sign. He claims that he interacted with the sign once before off-camera and it teleported him then as well. As stated above, in this video, Tyler touches the sign and warps in-front of Greth. Afterwards, he accidentally touches it again, warping back home. He then touches it a third time and warps to another section of his yard. After this, the Detour Sign no longer works. It also no longer caused any sort of distortions in Tyler's footage. This might imply that Tyler can only use the Detour Sign three times in one day before it stops working.
Tyler also draws a comparison between the Detour Sign's appearance and the various construction-related imagery found on Johnisdead.com... However, the significance of this is unknown.
Meanwhile, on November 1st, 2018, the players continued posting on the Astral Observatory Forums.

This thread is a relatively casual conversation regarding the MK Ultra conspiracy. Here, NotAHoax reveals that he holds some rather unusual beliefs regarding various different conspiracies... Additionally, he calls the player Jos a "Truth Seeker". This is the same term used for the user group that Nocta and Samuel are members of. It's likely just a general term that members of the Astral Observatory use to describe people who believe in conspiracies and don't believe whatever narrative society feeds them.

In his usual fashion, he speculates that the site is involved in some sort of conspiracy to stop them from "SPREADING OUR TRUTHS". I mean, I live in my Grandma's old ass house from the 1920's and I have't seen any ghosts yet. If anything, seeing signs that ghosts exist would be cool because that'd mean that there's something after death. It'd be comforting, especially if the ghosts were in your own home. They'd be family, essentially.

In the thread above, the players discuss some alien-related theories with the members of the Astral Observatory. However, things take a bit of a serious turn when NotAHoax explains why he's so obsessed with aliens. He reveals that he grew up in New Mexico - a supposed hotspot for extraterrestrial activity. Back when he was a child, his mother was supposedly abducted by aliens. The next day, men in suits took his father too. After this, he ran away. Ever since then, NotAHoax has been trying to learn more about aliens and uncover the truth.
Yuukichan claims that each member of the Astral Observatory has been affected by something supernatural and that they're now all searching for their own truths. Nocta adds on to this, claiming that everyone in the Astral Observatory is walking along the same path under his own guidance. While this may seem just on the surface, the players believed it held a more sinister undertone... It's likely that Nocta is exploiting the past traumas of Yuukichan and NotAHoax to keep them as his followers. However, the ultimate goal of this is a mystery...
Regardless, discussion in this thread continued with some light-hearted banter regarding aliens:

On the other hand, it is round. but until that moment. The truth will be hidden. It does not matter if they fight against something or not. The universe has a vastness to it that is essentially unknowable to us, conceptually. We have mere inklings of sight into these wonders, but very little is accessible to us as a species. Dimensionally beyond what we comprehend. It would follow that in this endlessness, other sapient species are out there, and they may or may not be benevolent.

On November 2nd, 2018, something unexpected happened - Tyler initiated a livestream on Silentdork titled "testing testing 123".

Tyler: "Okay... Doing a little test here. My camera is really shitty. Let me see, is this, uh... let me see if this is available on my channel right now. Oh. Oh, gross, who are these people? Oh, hello. Huh, woah. Where did all these people come from? Hm... Hold on, let me mess with my settings again.

- This video simply contains a short livestream test from Tyler.
It seems this stream was simply the result of Tyler testing out YouTube's new livestream feature...
Shortly after Tyler went offline, he initiated another brief livestream test titled "another test". Unfortunately, this stream was so brief that barely any players witnessed it... However, afterwards, he began a much more substantial livestream - "First live stream: general talk".

Hi, woah, hell yeah. Okay, alright I'm live. Also, sorry if I look like shit, I just got out of the shower. And had a long day at work. And, uhh… I'm feeling a little, uh, frankly nervous because… well, we'll get to that."
Tyler: "Um… I was getting some PM's actually from various Spanish friends- 'What am I doing?', Uhh, I just got back from work, actually. 'How are ya men?' Uh… 'Spik Spanish', says Valentin2232, Uhh… I wanna apologize, I don't actually know Spanish and I don't know where all the Spanish people have come from. I get a lot of people mentioning something about a guy called Jordi? Uhh… I have noticed I think my channel actually subscribed me to him at a point? Uh, I don't know anything about the guy frankly and I'm sorry about that. I don't wanna seem like I'm being rude or anything, uhh…"
Tyler briefly looks behind himself as if he heard something.
Tyler: "Uh, but I… I don't really- I don't really know Spanish, uh… Not tryin' to be racist or anything, but no habla. My apologies. But, uhh… What was I going to talk about… Oh yeah, I was gettin' a lot of PM's."
The player Camilo Canio says "You like a rockstar, hell ya!!" in the livechat.
Tyler: "Uh, thank you, I don't feel like a rockstar, but thank you, uh, Camilo Canio. Uhh… I got a bunch of PM's about something about a livestream - a lot of it in Spanish, and again I don't speak Spanish so I'm really really sorry. I apologize. But, uhh… And I just wanna make that clear so if anybody thinks I'm ignoring them, I'm not trying to ignore them, I just don't know like- I literally just can't understand what's being said, so apologies, I'm sorry."

Tyler clicks something on his computer.
Tyler: "Okay, there we go. I get a lot of weird shit in the mail - that's something I was about to get to, actually."
Tyler once again looks behind him as if hears something.
Tyler: "Is my microphone picking that up? Or am I just fucking hearing shit?"
Tyler scoots his chair back and looks out his bedroom door.
Tyler: "Whatever, let me not lack- bluh, let me not act like a psychopath in front of everybody, but-"
Players ask "what's behind you?" in the livechat.
Tyler: "What's behind me? Uhh… My, uh… covered windows so that I can feel like people can't watch me while I'm sleeping, you know, because I'm basically - I'm more or less one of those crazy targeted individuals bastards at this phase of my life. But, uhh… anyways, I'm gettin' sidetracked here."
Tyler: "I got PM's about a livestream and it got me thinkin' hey, I could livestream and talk about the various bullshit that I guess I probably need to mention to the people that care now that I've got a giant following out of nowhere for my shitty private vlog about my cult stalker life. But, uhh… I guess, what to go over first?"
Tyler: "This was, uh… a while back before I hung out with that Tony guy, which by the way, uh… Tony, if you're out there - hey, please come back and hang out again, that was a really fun time and it was really nice to run into somebody who I can see seemingly has, uh… somewhat of a similar experience to me. I hope you're doin' okay out there, man. Uh… things have been lookin' kinda weird on your YouTube channel, so uhh… I hope you're doin' okay, man. Anyways, uh… Before I hung out with that Tony guy, I got a couple of things that I never made videos about it- talking about it."

Tyler: "Uhh… Am I a ghost? No, Juan Manuel, I'm… not a ghost. I think that was Juan Manuel… Yeah, Juan Manuel, I'm not a ghost… I-I don't think, I think I'm alive. I think I go to work every day. I think, uh, support my lonely swamp trailer life. But, uh… a couple of things I guess I should have talked about before, uh…"
Tyler: "The sign- the sign experiment video and Tony coming over - which, by the way, before - I'm the king of gettin' sidetracked here - before I get on to what I was gonna say, uhh… That sign video, which technically I recorded before the Tony guy came over, and we were just so caught up with everything we were doing that, like, we never even went outside to mess with the sign. It was… frankly the first time in about, well… god, like a decade that I- that I had like a nice time in which I didn't feel like I need to worry about just weird shit in my life. So… just didn't really think, oddly enough, to mention the sign at all to him, but… hopefully, Tony, if you're out there, you can come back again. I'll show you the sign. Uhh… I really should have done that in the beginning, I don't know why. I should have done that, I didn't. Um… In fact, I think a couple of these things might have even shown up in the video because I just had them sitting around."
Tyler picks up a photo sitting on his desk.
Tyler: "First off, I got this in the mail. Um…"
Tyler once again looks behind himself, supposedly hearing something.
Tyler: "I-I got this in the mail. Kind of a… cute picture of a couple and it's nice, I guess, because most of the shit I get in the mail is either really threatening or, uh, just in Spanish. I'm- I'm startin' to think that there's like a… I dunno if I mentioned this before, I'm startin' to think maybe there's a Spanish branch of these Lunar Children people or something because I get a lot of really threatening stuff in Spanish a lot of the time and frankly if it stopped that'd be really- that'd be really sweet of you all."
Tyler: "But anyways, um… Nice portrait of a couple of people. This is really an uncharacteristic thing I received in the mail. I remember when I first got it, just for the shit of it, I like… cleaned it up and I put it in a frame. But… I just today - because I decided I wanted to get it out and talk about it and accidentally broke the frame I remember when I went to pick it up. There's something on the back of it that says, uh… '1990 - Diana'. I dunno if, uh, this has something to do with, uh… well, anything. I think, uh… I think that Hank Hubbard guy had a wife or something. I dunno."
Tyler: "I've been asking - I've still been asking a lot around town with, uh, with the people that are kinda in the know and wanna actually talk about the local cult. Uh, which, by the way, I got recommended a book - hold on. Let me… Where did I put that book? Oh, my stupid ass."
Tyler picks up a rather large book titled "Drawing Down the Moon".
Tyler: "'Drawing Down the Moon', apparently is something that used to be on their reading list, but I've read this front to back and it doesn't seem to have anything to do with anything. It really just seems like a lot of stupid hippy garbage. But, uhh… you know. Crazy cults and what I'd like to know about them."
Tyler picks the photo back up.
Tyler: "But, uhh… I got no idea who these people are. Maybe… maybe this is Hank? Which, I don't really know a lot about the guy other than he led the Lunar Children at a point."
Tyler picks up a red mask with horns on it.
Tyler: "Another thing. I found this whenever I was walking around in the woods lately kinda close to…"
Tyler once again looks behind himself as if he hears something.
Tyler: "...The fishery, and, uh… it kinda seems familiar to me, but I dunno where I've seen this before, uhh… I didn't actually go to that fishery, really I don't- I don't wanna go back to it. I don't really… I don't really know… why… Uhh, any- anyways, uh, I dunno what this brittle piece of fucking garbage is, but maybe it's one of the cult masks. There's like a thing on the inside of it that looks like an 'R', but it's a really pointy 'R'."
Tyler shows the inside of the mask. The letter "R" can be seen written inside.
Tyler: "And this has all been in like the last, uhh, few months. I actually can't remember exactly what day I found this and what day I got mailed this, but, uhh… I know it was before… before I hung out with Tony. Umm…"
Tyler once again hears something and looks over at the corner of his room.
Tyler: "Uhh… Sorry, my- my head's a little cloudy right now, uhh… and there's probably, uh… I don't- I don't know. Uh…"
Tyler looks back into the hallway again.
Tyler: "You can't hear it? Can anyone hear anything? Like, is my room just silent for the rest of you? A-anyways, um… A couple of days ago- and, I forgot to mention, actually, about a week ago I wanna say, I misplaced I guess somehow that necklace I found. I dunno if anyone remembers me mentioning - whenever I woke up in the hospital a while back there was this necklace, and they told me that I just had it whenever I woke up in the parking lot - or not woke up, but whenever I turned up in the parking lot. But… the necklace, I… don't know where it's at. But, uhh… yeah, I-I don't know what that came to mind suddenly, but… yeah. Necklace. Don't know what the fuck happened to it."
Tyler holds up three pieces of a gas mask.
Tyler: "But, very recently I found, uhh… this. And… this. And… this. Right at the edge of my yard. Not, uh… sure what the deal is, but that's… that's two now. Two masks. Two weird masks turning up in a very close proximity to my yard, and I'm… you know, the paranoia's been heightening for me again, you know? But hey, life's got its ups and downs. Meet a new friend, regain some old issues or something, I dunno. But, uhh… I don't really understand any… anything, really. And I'd really like that noise to stop. But, uhh…"
Tyler begins looking over the gas mask.
Tyler: "This isn't familiar, though. But, it kinda is. Was I wearing this…? I don't… I don't know. I gotta… man, this chat's goin' crazy. I dunno how I got so famous just being a crazy asshole in a swamp, but, uhh…"
The player Noaimi say "Tyler check the noise" in the livechat.
Tyler: "You know what, Noaimi, yeah, actually - I'll, uh… I'll check the noise, and I kinda gotta go to the bathroom anyways. I'll, uh… I'll be right back."
Tyler stands up and leaves the room. While he's gone, the lights in his room begin to flicker. SKM enters the room and picks up the pieces of the gas mask from Tyler's desk.
SKM: "Thank you… And just one more… Thank you. Alright. Thank you for finding that for me. Here... I grabbed this. Felt to add something to it…"
SKM tosses the Bullet Necklace into Tyler's chair.
SKM: "Watch over my brother for me. I'll see you soon."
The lights flicker once again as SKM leaves the room. After a while, Tyler returns with some alcohol and a glass.
Tyler: "I had to grab myself a little drink too because I'm really-"
As Tyler's about to sit down, he sees the Bullet Necklace. He begins laughing as he picks it up before sitting down.
Tyler: "I-I couldn't have been sitting on this the whole time. I couldn't have been sitting on this the whole time, could I? Wait… where's the, uhh… where did that mask go?"
Tyler begins shakily pouring himself a drink while he reads the livechat. The player Wolfcat says "he took the mask" in the livechat.
Tyler: "No no no, wait… Who took the mask? Someone's in my fuckin' house? Someone's in my fuckin' house. Someone's in my house?"
Tyler stands up and picks up a knife.
Tyler: "Okay, so someone's in my fuckin' house, alright. Cool. Someone's in my house, is that what you're saying? Someone's in my fuckin' house. Cool. Fuckin' awesome. Great."
Tyler walks out of his room.
Tyler: "Hello…? Hello? Hello? Hello?"
Tyler returns to the computer and sits down.
Tyler: "Someone's in my fuckin' house aren't they?"
Tyler puts the Bullet Necklace back around his neck.
Tyler: "No. No no no, I'm not- I'm not… not too happy right now, but hey, at least I got my fuckin' necklace back!"
Tyler seemingly hears or sees someone out of the corner of his eye. He grabs his knife before slowly standing up.
Tyler: "There you are you motherfucker. Hey… Hey. Hey!"
Tyler runs out of his room in pursuit of the man inside his house.
Tyler: "Hey! Get the fuck back here- hey! Motherfucker!"
Tyler returns to his computer to end the stream.
Tyler: "Hold on, I'm gonna get my fuckin' guns."
Summary
- Tyler claims that he's been receiving a lot of odd phone calls and strange packages in the mail.
- Throughout the livestream, Tyler occasionally hears something coming from another room.
- Tyler notes that Greth has been uploading strange things to Greth Vlogs lately but he still hopes the two can hang out sometime soon.
- Tyler reveals that he received a photo of Hank and Diana from 1990 in the mail.
- Tyler shows off a red-colored demon-like mask he found near the Fishery. It has the letter "R" written on it.
- Tyler claims he lost the Bullet Necklace about a week ago.
- Tyler shows off a gas mask that he found near the edge of his yard.
- Tyler briefly leaves to use to the bathroom and check on a noise outside. While he's gone, SKM sneaks into his room.
- SKM takes the gas mask and returns Tyler's Bullet Necklace and implies he's somehow placed Max's spirit inside of it.
- Tyler returns. He's shocked to see that the Bullet Necklace is back and that the Gas Mask is gone.
- Tyler ends the stream as he runs off to confront SKM.
In the livestream above, Tyler gives a general update regarding his life. He claims that he currently has a job, though he doesn't reveal what it is. He's also noticed Greth's recent concerning uploads on Greth Vlogs. However, he claims he'd still like to hang out with him again sometime soon and experiment further with the Detour Sign.
Tyler also mentions someone named "Jordi". This is a reference to a popular Spanish YouTuber named Jordi Wild who had recently been watching Tyler's videos in livestreams. In fact, the reason why Tyler decided to host this livestream in the first place is because he was receiving many messages and emails that mentioned Jordi's streams. Though he couldn't understand many of these messages because they were in Spanish, he decided to try hosting a stream of his own.
Tyler claims that some strange things have been happening recently. First, his Bullet Necklace went missing about a week ago. He's also been getting many strange phone calls and receiving odd things in the mail. One of these was a photo of Hank and Diana that was taken back in 1990 - the year of her death.
Afterwards, Tyler shows off some interesting objects he found. The first is a demonic looking red mask. Tyler claims he found this in the woods not too far away from the Fishery. This mask also had the letter "R" written inside of it. Given the presence of this letter and the mask's red coloration, many players began speculating that this mask once belonged to Regiminis...
Finally, Tyler shows off a familiar looking gas mask - one that he claims he found at the edge of his yard. Tyler himself also finds the mask to be familiar and he even questions if he himself wore it at one point...
Throughout the stream, Tyler keeps hearing something coming from another room. He eventually decides to get up to go to the bathroom and check it out.
As soon as Tyler steps out of the room, the lights in his house begin flickering. Someone wearing a thick jacket can then be seen reaching across Tyler's desk and grabbing the gas mask. While doing so, they begin speaking with a British accent in a gravelly voice. This character was none other than SKM. This implies that the gas mask that Tyler found was actually his.
After SKM retrieves his gas mask, he tosses Tyler's Bullet Necklace onto his chair, stating the following:
SKM
"Here... I grabbed this. Felt to add something to it... Watch over my brother for me. I'll see you soon."
This has two major implications:
- Ben and Max have been separated. The two are no longer fused together as Drowned. How and when this took place is unknown.
- SKM briefly stole Tyler's Bullet Necklace and placed Max's spirit within it.
How and why SKM did this is unknown. Regardless, the fact that he was still alive was reassuring to many players. However, Tyler didn't take too kindly to the fact that someone had been snooping inside his house. Upon discovering that the gas mask was missing, Tyler once again put the Bullet Necklace around his neck before chasing off after SKM, ending the livestream.
On November 3rd, 2018, activity continued on the Astral Observatory Forums. The player CelestialLight created a thread in the "Ghosts / Demonology" board related to ghostly encounters:

Here, Yuukichan explains that Samuel is not her literal grandfather - she just calls him that because the members of the Astral Observatory playfully tease him for being old. Sadly, Samuel supposedly does not have any family of his own anymore...
On November 5th, 2018, the players began concocting a plan. The player Deadhead created a thread related to the Moon Children. This was an attempt to see if the Astral Observatory members knew anything about the cult. If not, it would at the very least get some of them interested in learning more and perhaps realizing that their leader Nocta might be connected to them...

I remember seeing this weird website a long time ago about these guys called Moon Children or something. I think it was called Youshouldnthavedonethat.net. Some kid named Ben drowned and a lot of people say he turned into a ghost or something like that. Do you guys know anything about it? ghost stuff?

I know some things about the subject. but I'm still gathering information. I know that the theme of Ben has something to do with the game of Zelda Majoras Mask. and possibly also something about a group called moon children or something and there seems to be another one that is similar called lunar children but I do not know what relationship they have. I have a general idea of what happens. but there are still things that I do not know.

Yeah, the Lunar Children originally split off from the Moon Children. I don't know everything, but I do know that both cults took part in some pretty twisted shit. The Moon Children kinda died off in 2011 but the Lunar Children stuck around. Apparently the Lunar Children even had influence over the local police force and news. I stumbled across this newspaper clipping a while back, and it seems pretty legit to me.

There's a note from the old cult mentioning some place in Ohio called "The Spire" at the end of the video, along with what looks like an FBI document at 4:50?? I don't know what that's about, honestly.

The players seem to successfully pique the interest of NotAHoax and Yuukichan. However, Moonman seems to already be aware of the cult... Interestingly, shortly after this thread was posted, the players noticed that Nocta made another post inside "The Truth" board. Unfortunately, they still did not have access, so they couldn't see what this was...

In the thread above, the player Circlehunter points out that he's somehow already been added to the "Internet Detectives" user group. Nocta addresses this, claiming that members of the Astral Observatory are already well aware of who he is and his activity on Within Hubris. Shortly afterwards, Yuukichan welcomes him, calling him a "ben drowned guy", implying that the Astral Observatory members aside from Nocta are also somewhat knowledgeable of Within Hubris, the Internet Detectives, and the events surrounding Ben.
Around this same time, the player Dense created a thread in "General Discussion" that would go on to become quite popular - "G O O D MUSIC".

On the surface, this thread seems to be a fairly casual place to share music. However, it also allows the players to gain some insight regarding the members of the Astral Observatory. As expected, Yuukichan shares some anime music - specifically the opening theme of the anime "Parasyte". On the other hand, NotAHoax shares some music from Neil Young and Johnny Cash. However, Nocta shares a somewhat somber song titled "Old Lace (To John)". The name of this song is obviously suspect and implies that Nocta may hold some connection to John. Some lyrics are also suspect, such as "Can't you see we're living in a dream." and "It's gonna be hard, but we simply have to say goodbye.".

I did not know if I really should share about this. but I'm also a fan of the anime ... I've seen many series in general. in a certain way the anime, manga and light novels. They have a lot of information. It may be useful for your life or it may not. but it also helps cultivate your general knowledge. It's how I see it.

Later on, players discovered that Johnisdead.com had undergone another update. The front page was now titled "tlopa" and contained a heavily distorted image of Greth titled "pqbxh.gif". The page also contained the audio "fillicaelo.mp3" - a word that roughly translates to "Child of the sky".
Around this same time, Nocta posted another song in the "G O O D MUSIC" thread. However, this time the song was uploaded to a personal YouTube channel belonging to Nocta himself. To everyone's surprise, the name of this channel was "Kevin Hendricks", which seemingly implied that Nocta was somehow connected to both Kevin and Kayd...

This video is a music video for the song "Sky Children" by Kaleidoscope. The video features numerous images of children in mystical settings.
Halfway through the video, strange footage begins playing. We first see darkened footage of the inside of Greth's car. Someone wearing a hoodie is driving somewhere. The footage then cuts to what appears to be a ritual. The video is very dark and incredibly hard to make out. A lighter can be seen sitting in front of someone. The footage then cuts to a brief clip of "The Watcher", followed by a black screen.
Following this, the video returns to normal.
Summary
- This video mostly contains peaceful images that match the tone of the song being played - "Sky Children" by Kaleidoscope.
- Halfway through the video, distorted footage cuts in that shows someone driving down a highway, some sort of ritual, and footage of The Watcher.
Nocta's video starts off fairly normal. It mainly consists of peaceful-looking images appearing on-screen that match the serene tone of the song that's being played - "Sky Children" by Kaleidoscope. Interestingly, this is the same song that was playing earlier on Johnisdead.com.
However, halfway through the video, distorted footage suddenly begins playing. Though the video is incredibly difficult to make out, the players were able to discern the following clips:
- Someone driving down a highway.
- Someone sitting in-front of a lighter in some sort of ritual.
- A brief shot of The Watcher.
The tags found on this video were quite ominous as well - "He was never safe". However, the players weren't sure whether or not this was referring to Tyler or Greth...
As the player Wolfcat was attempting to examine Nocta's footage, he was suddenly contacted by Moonman in PM's on the Astral Observatory Forums:

Moonman linked the players to a video titled "mask of truth" - a brief clip of Nocta's footage that had been edited to be slightly more visible. It was uploaded to Moonman's own personal YouTube channel, which was also titled "moonman".
The mysteries of the Astral Observatory were growing deeper and its supposed ties to the Lunar Children were slowly coming to light... Thankfully, it seems the players now had an ally on the inside. However, with Nocta constantly watching the players' movements, getting a straight answer may be easier said than done...
