July 9th, 2019[edit]

  • At 7:39 PM, Mugen Kagemaru noticed a new upload to Silentdork - “| | | | | |” (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186190601438/july-9th-2019). This video shows an indiscernible object moving in a dark room. The description read “l l l l l”.
  • At 8:06 PM, “| | | | | |”’s title changed to “3 questions will be answered” and the description now read “Boredom and habit has forced our hand yet again.”
  • At 9:05 PM, a video titled “wolfcat22″ was uploaded. (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186190615973/july-9th-2019-wolfcat22) The video played a corrupted version of the Song of Storms while someone explored a house in the online game Roblox. When they look out the window, a figure turns towards them and runs at them. The description read “llllll ᚸ llllll”, and the video had a single tag reading “kevi”.
  • At 9:14 PM, “| | | | | |”’s description changed once more: “Dont bore me, WE Have wAiTed a long timE for this. He'll be taking a bris walk while I May wait.” The capitalized letters spell out “WE HATE HIM”.
  • At 9:18 PM, players began noticing comment replies left by Silentdork.   • At 10:05 PM, “| | | | | |”’s description changed to “Dont bore me, I have waited a long time for this. I'll be taking a walk while you all wait.”
  • At 10:19 PM, “| | | | | |”’s title changed to “3 questions will be answered. You have 1 hour to decide them.”
  • At 10:35 PM, Jos noticed the description on “wolfcat22″ had been extended with the following: “Stolen from him Laugh Send toys I my punish to interfering Detectives Children Harbingers End Kill all to end”
  • At 11:03 PM, “| | | | | |”’s title changed to “3 questions will be answered.”
  • At 11:14 PM, Mugen Kagemaru noticed a new upload from Silentdork - “Solifera C”. (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186190632073/july-9th-2019-for-solifera-c) This video showed cryptic imagery. The description reads “A prisoner A prison A prophecy Just a glimpse”. 
  • At 11:54 PM, “| | | | | |”’s title changed to “3 questions answered.” and the description had changed as well, now showing three of the questions and answers:
    • Senorita misteriosa: I pull us to null but he works the forces that desire us to carry on. I will be free when this dies but it makes me work more and more. Im very tired, this body is a cage. When I finally stagnate he stabs me again and we must fight all over again. Over and over, forever. 
    •  Juan Rojas: We will be able to die. It promised me if I die I die. 
    • Jose Mi: He is us. I want to stop. I want to sleep. I want null. I want to end.
  • At an unknown time, “Solifera C”’s title changed to “For Solifera C” indicating that this video was uploaded in response to the user Solifera C asking to see more of Silentdork’s world earlier.

  • Kaiden_Zoromichi made a number of forum posts on the Astral Observatory forums:
    • 3:20 PM: “I would say there's a reason most of us have been quiet but I wouldn't worry about it too much...” - In response to users being inactive.
    • 3:22 PM: “Kingdom Hearts III, Assassin's Creed Odyssey for right now... Well, that's what I'm playing, anyway.” - In response to being asked what his favorite games were.
    • 3:30 PM: “Odd to add more to the 'ranks' considering everything that's happened.“ - In response to ARGdov and CelestialLight’s welcoming thread in “The Truth”.
    • 3:31 PM: “Coward.“ - In response to nocta deleting the contents of the “Internet Detectives” thread in “The Truth”.
    • 3:35 PM: “Hmmm... Well outside of this place/these people, not terrible. Been working on an abridged lore video for my character... I need some art for it though.” - In response to being asked how his day is going.
    • 3:39 PM: “PM sent.” - In response to Wolfcat offering to provide art for his aforementioned “lore video”.
    • 4:01 PM: “I once heard a rumor that Tiamat may be real. That was a long time ago...” - In response to the “Dragons” thread.
    • 4:02 PM: “Tch. Trying too hard to be edgy...“ - In response from a cryptic post from Jos.
  • At 7:15 PM, Kaiden_Zoromichi created a topic titled “Adventures of Kaiden Zoromichi: Abridged“, which read the following: “I made a video for some of my RP escapades. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xI_fltggv6E If you guys like this, maybe I will make more...” The link leads to a new YouTube channel belonging to Kaiden himself, where he has uploaded “Adventures of Kaiden Zoromichi ABRIDGED (Ep. 1)”, which depicts a roleplay that Kaiden and Yuukichan once took part in.   • At 8:08 PM, nocta replied to Kaiden’s “lore video” thread with the following: “...cute, Kaiden. We should talk.”
  • At an unknown time, nocta’s reply was deleted.
  • At 11:53 PM, Kaiden_Zoromichi posts a link to a song that Yuukichan used to listen to. “ Yuuki listens to this a lot... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBff4F5egLc“
  • At 11:56 PM, moonman31 responded to Kaiden’s lore video thread with “Glad I could help you out buddy“, likely in reference to his brief appearance at the end of the video in which he says “ok cuck”.
  • At 11:59 PM, moonman31 responds to Yuuki’s song with a simple heart emoji: “<3“

  • At 12:52 PM, Wolfcat submitted the New Wave Bossa Nova in a player-created thread in The Truth titled “Controller”. This was done in the hopes that Yuukichan would be able to contact us.
  • At 5:35 PM, Jos discovered a comment from Silentdork posted on the music video “getting better” by “nelward”. The comment contained a cipher that translated to “This goes out to an old friend. hope to see you again Jacob8.”
  • At 6:01 PM, ARGdov replied to the previous YouTube comment with “who do you mean?”
  • At 7:02 PM, ARGdov noticed Silentdork had replied to his comment with another cipher. 

July 26th, 2019[edit]

  • At 4:54 PM, a user named “Tyler00″ joined the Internet Detectives Discord server and began speaking with players. The full conversation can be read here (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186589436948/72619-chat-with-tyler00-1). Below is a summary:
    • Tyler00 is apparently Tyler, who is currently lost in some sort of forest-like environment.
    • Tyler00 is being chased by people who want to finish a ritual started a few years ago.
    • Tyler00 has vague memories from before, but it is still hazy for him.
  • At 5:58 PM, Mugen Kagemaru noticed a new video had been uploaded to Silentdork - “Slinking” (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186589199958/july-26th-2019-slinking). The description read: “That is what I caught this urchin doing Just like the rest they must all use faces Just like the rest they must all use names Its been a long time. We are just like them but better. I cant stop it. The game will continue soon. #yyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy.finish  Maybe this one will keep this face, but never take MY name.“ and the tags “tyler tyer tyler, TYLER, tyler“. The video featured a faint image of the player Mugen Kagemaru’s face.
  • At 6:23 PM, Tyler00 rejoined the Internet Detectives Discord server and began speaking once again. The full conversation can be read here (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186589622383/72619-chat-with-tyler00-2) Below is a summary:
    • Tyler00 asks the players for faces.
    • Tyler00 claims the faces must be assimilated for masks.
  • At 7:07 PM, Mugen Kagemaru noticed a video was about to premiere on the Silentdork channel. Some could be seen chatting using the Silentdork account in the video premiere chat:
    • Silentdork: “I cant stop us”
    • Silentdork: “it will finish soon”
  • The video “fascie” was uploaded. (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x8up-ngPKZw). Featured in the video were several quick flashes of profile pictures belonging to users who had commented on “Slinking”. The description read “ And they will take more. They will build up my world with you. His world was fake, ours will be real, because it was never his it was mine and ours. g𝐢𝓋є υŞ 𝓶ｏ尺ᗴ m̷͇̮̭̫̰̼̯̦̬̈̈̈́͊̉̀͗͠αʂƙʂ” and the tags were “not R world”.
  • At 10:58 PM, a new character joined the Astral Observatory forums - IsocelesAssassin, the returning member mentioned previously by Moonman and Kaiden_Zoromichi. Isoceles made several posts on the Astral Observatory forums:
  • At 10:58 PM, IsocelesAssassin made his own introduction thread - “Seems we are back.”, where he claimed he has been associating with a different group. Moonman claims there are some time discrepancies regarding what IsocelesAssassin claims.
    • 10:58 PM IsocelesAssassin: “Hello, everyone; I see faces old and new.“
    • 11:39 PM moonman31: “SHIT IS GETTING REAL“
    • 11:42 PM IsocelesAssassin: “It's always been 'real', Greth.”
    • 11:45 PM moonman31: “Ssshhh that's the no no name in these parts, also where you been? I seriously thought you were dead. No sarcasm.”
    • 11:46 PM IsocelesAssassin: “Been associating with some other people for a couple of years; we have a mutual interest.”
    • 11:48 PM moonman31: “Hey now, you haven't been gone THAT long.“
    • 11:49 PM IsocelesAssassin: “Don't worry about it right now.”
  • At 11:13 PM, IsocelesAssassin responded to Wolfcat’s “Controller” thread in “The Truth”.
    • 11:13 PM IsocelesAssassin: “Surprised you didn't post a different video.“
  • At 11:26 PM, IsocelesAssassin replied to Nocta’s “Internet Detectives” thread.
    • 11:26 PM IsocelesAssassin: “Play me a song, you're the ocarina man, play me a song tonight...“
  • At 11:29 PM, IsocelesAssassin responded to Kaiden’s “Vague Memories” thread. IsocelesAssassin posts the “Sonata of Awakening”, implying that he might have song powers.

  • At 11:47 PM, Moonman posted in the Discord Server, notifying everyone that IsocelesAssassin had rejoined the forums:
  • At 11:51 PM, IsocelesAssassin sent the player Wolfcat a PM: “You called for me.  And now I'm here.”, implying that the New Wave Bossa Nova summoned IsocelesAssassin.

July 27th, 2019[edit]

  • At 8:42 PM, IsocelesAssassin replied to Kaiden’s lore video thread with the following: “Pretty bold to slip in footage of Nocta there Kaiden”. This implies that the man we see in Kaiden’s video when it corrupts near the end is actually Nocta himself. 
  • At an unknown time, Slinky discovered another comment posted by Silentdork on Nelward’s music video “Sleepwalk”. The comment was a cipher that translated to “Vincent, wake up”.

July 29th, 2019[edit]

  • At 6:24 PM, ARGdov sent IsocelesAssassin a PM asking him about the current state of the forums. 
  • At 7:43 PM, IsocelesAssassin replied to ARGdov: “As far as i can tell the password is '((Censored))’. Maybe you type too fast?"
  • At 9:23 PM, IsocelesAssassin send ARGdov another PM - “I know who you are Dov"
  • At 9:37 PM, a new character named “GHOSTBABEL” joined the Discord server. The full conversation can be read here: (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186653505208/july-29th-2019-chat-with-ghostbabel) Below is a summary:
    • Ghostbabel here to help the players, having been sent as a messenger by another undisclosed character. 
    • Ghostbabel has spoken to several of the players before. 
    • The person Ghostbabel is working for can be trusted, and for the time being, Ghostbabel is simply acting as an observer.

August 1st, 2019[edit]

    • Ghostbabel reiterates that we must get into the Subspace on Astralobservatory.net, but it will require some planning and we need to be patient for the time being.
    • Ghostbabel urges players to unite as they had done years ago in the presence of The Gray Man.
    • Moonman joins the group, seemingly meeting Ghostbabel for the first time. 
    • Ghostbabel tells Mugen Kagemaru to shut up.
    • Kaiden has been acting very friendly towards Moonman as of late.
    • The footage of Nocta spliced into Kaiden’s video was from a trip involving Kaiden and Nocta and possibly Yuuki’s death.

August 2nd, 2019[edit]

    • Ghostbabel has a secret he is willing to share with us relating to the dangers of time travel.
    • Ghostbabel and the players make a deal - Ghostbabel will share what he knows and the players will “owe him one” later on.
    • Ghostbabel claims most of the players are dead in the Astral Observatory timeline
    • Ghostbabel urges players to ask Moonman for more details, claiming he is not telling the whole truth.

August 3rd, 2019[edit]

  • At 8:38 PM, Moonman joined the Discord server and began chatting with the players. The full conversation can be read here (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186791948098/august-3rd-2019-chat-with-moonman). Below is a summary:
    • Moonman confirms that most of the Internet Detectives died sometime around late 2017 or early 2018 in his timeline.
    • Moonman says the surviving Internet Detectives were himself, Nocta, IsocelesAssassin, and the previously mentioned Spanish user named Yugi.
    • Nocta was a member of the Internet Detectives in the Astral Observatory’s timeline, joining sometime in 2017 after The Truth Arc.
    • Moonman believes that our timelines are mostly the same aside from a few names and events.
    • IsocelesAssassin is the Astral Observatory Timeline’s version of the player named CircleHunter.
    • Nocta left the Internet Detectives before the rest of the Internet Detectives disappeared. 
    • Moonman tracked down Nocta and joined the Astral Observatory, though he was ultimately unable to stop Nocta from going too far with the group and transforming it into a cult.

August 6th, 2019[edit]

  • At 3:37 AM, otherLiam noticed that Johnisdead.com now required a password to access.
  • At 5:52 PM, otherLiam noticed that the message for the sign-in box for Johnisdead changed, now reading “Aggregation in progress”.
  • At 10:41 PM, GHOSTBABEL entered the Discord server and began chatting with the players. The full conversation can be read here (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186840097418/august-6th-2019-chat-with-ghostbabel). Below is a summary:
    • Ghostbabel claims that there is a plan to enter the now locked Johnisdead.com though it will take some time. 
    • The many masks and items the players have submitted in recent days has caught the attention of our enemy and shortened our timespan.
    • Our main goal is still to access the Subspace on Astralobservatory.net, and Ghostbabel is still preparing a plan for that as well.
    • Ghostbabel says perhaps those who have gained Nocta’s trust could work their way into the Subspace.
    • Nocta is almost always online, keeping his online status hidden.
    • Ghostbabel was saved by one of the Astral Observatory timeline Internet Detectives.
    • Ghostbabel is unaware of what the “Killswtich” is - the vote that the players took part in at the end of The Truth Arc.
    • Ghostbabel is still being pursued by the “Wyndstrom” foundation (which was the main antagonist of a different ARG from which Ghostbabel originates), and he eventually plans on using the Internet Detective’s favor they owe him to help him escape into our timeline.
    • IsocelesAssassin has more secrets that have yet to be revealed. 
    • Ghostbabel says that some have mastered the art of time travel far better than we have.
    • The players were killed because they were betrayed. Nocta was not the one who betrayed them, as he had already left the Internet Detectives when it happened. Ghostbabel also confirms that it was not Yugi who betrayed the players.
    • Ghostbabel does not fully trust Moonman.
    • Ghostbabel implies that Moonman may be incorrect on who he claims is alive and who isn’t.

August 8th, 2019[edit]

  • At 9:14 PM, Nocta announced that Moonman was now banned from the Astral Observatory forums as he was responsible for the spambots. (https://astralobservatory.net/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&p=2766&sid=5831e347f808e1e9c8499dc6c63fd46a#p2766)
    • “Hello everyone, is with a heavy heart I let you know that I have banned Moonman. Investigation has led me to discover that he was responsible for the excess of forum spam from bots that we have received, and would continue to receive were registration not stringently controlled as of now. You can thank him for our extremely limited registration capabilities, which will have to continue that way until further notice.”
  • At 9:16 PM, GHOSTBABEL joined the Discord server and spoke with the players. The full conversation can be read here (https://internetdetectives.tumblr.com/post/186888180043/august-8th-2019-chat-with-ghostbabel). Below is a summary:
    • Ghostbabel claims that Nocta banned Moonman so that it will not be suspicious when he later disappears, implying that Moonman is in some sort of peril.
    • Moonman apparently still has secrets he is not telling us.
    • Ghostbabel agrees to help Moonman if the players can retrieve Helper’s Hat for him.
    • The hat we will be retrieving is the hat from our timeline, as the one in the Astral Observatory timeline currently belongs to IsocelesAssassin.
    • Ghostbabel says things will change dramatically once we enter the Subspace.
    • The players agree to help Ghostbabel retrieve Helper’s Hat. Ghostbabel says that he will soon take control of Astral Observatory and allow them into a portion of the Subspace where they will find the hat.

August 9th, 2019[edit]

  • At 1:00 AM, GHOSTBABEL posted the following in the Discord server: “ʏᴏᴜʀ ᴛᴜʀɴ.”
  • At 1:02 AM, ADULT_LINK discovered a new post on the front page of Astral Observatory written by GHOSTBABEL using Nocta’s account. The post was titled “Seven years ago…” and read “Seven years is a long time ago, isn’t it? What happened today seven years ago?” https://astralobservatory.net/?p=34
  • At 1:06 AM, CircleHunter noticed that the final question mark in the post was a link that led the users to a secret page - https://astralobservatory.net/split/. This page contained the following:

  • At 1:44 AM, Tyler began speaking under an account named “lllll” on Discord. Throughout the rest of the night, Tyler would occasionally post ciphers, speak in the call, post images, and message players. It is unknown at times whether or not it is actually Tyler posting:
    • 1:44 AM - Tyler’s avatar changes, now having four runes drawn over it.
    • 1:46 AM - Tyler makes strange yelling noises into the call.
    • 1:51 AM - “Read the runes my friends”
    • 1:52 AM - “One of the few things I have right now that he cant catch up with fast enough”
    • 1:52 AM - One player suggests using the Bunny Hood to help Tyler escape.

    • 1:53 AM - “You cannot use these things just yet for me”

    • 2:00 AM - Players attempt to discover what the runes translate to.
    • 2:01 AM - Players translate the runes, revealing the message “A key”.

    • 2:04 AM - Players discover Tyler is referencing the video titled “fascie” and post a link to it.
    • 2:04 AM - The player OtherLiam posts a comment on the video asking if Tyler wants “a key”.

    • 2:09 AM - OtherLiam discovers four replies from Tyler on his comment - “The”, “return to othila”, “with the name and key”, and “The”.

    • 2:17 AM - Tyler posts a large cipher. Players speculate that in order to solve it, they must remove one instance of the word “LUNA” appearing in the code.
    • 2:24 AM - “Luna can never be gone”.

    • 2:31 AM - Tyler uploads “lllll.mp3″, a distorted audio track.

  • At 2:02 PM, the player Deadhead recieved a PM from Tyler containing the image "A.jpg" once again, this time accompanied by the text "Numbers".

  • At 11:55 PM, Tyler posted the messages "Unlike him I have no reason to hide however" and "This will be very funny".

  • At an unknown time, Tyler's Discord avatar had once again changed into the distorted Majora's Mask.
  • At 4:44 PM, Tyler posted a screenshot of a Discord message from a new player named Miss Jackson that read "Are you a Moon Children or BEN Drowned". Miss Jackson also claims that Tyler's account sent her a binary code that solved to an invite link to the Internet Detectives Discord server.
  • At 4:47 PM, the player OtherLiam asked the entity using Tyler's account what they are.
  • At an unknown time, Tyler's Discord avatar changed back to his original image with the previous runes before changing back to the distorted Majora's Mask. 
  • At 4:51 PM, Tyler responded with"IIIIrIIdIImIInIIIaIIeIIIIIIiIIgIIIIIIIIIIIII", which solves to "dreaming". The newcomer Miss Jackson is confused. Players attempt to explain to her that this is an ARG and chide her for believing in BEN.
  • At 5:03 PM, Tyler posted "you are having a nightmare".
  • At 5:07 PM, Tyler posted "@Miss Jackson yours is a spirit IIII seeks to kindle", "this is funny to us", and "you will all find it funny and this is how I will finally gain what I desire". Players tell Miss Jackson that she is being trolled and that she should leave the server.

    • IsocelesAssassin tells the players they need to reverse what they did. He advises against playing the Song of Double Time.
    • IsocelesAssassin talks about the Ocarina powers, claiming they are often flexible and can sometimes be used outside of their designated submission places, though he also advises against relying on this flexibility to often.
    • At 8:38 PM, the player Slinky accidentally submits the Elegy of Emptiness when attempting to compare it with "potestatemmagnam.mp3". He shouldn't have done that.
    • At 8:48 PM, the Astral Observatory goes completely offline, likely due to the submission of the Elegy of Emptiness.
    • Players begin questioning IsocelesAssassin about his timeline. He confirms that the Internet Detectives voted the same as we did during The Truth Arc - to "Kill".
    • IsocelesAssassin confirms that the events in 2015 played out the same as our timeline, with Tyler becoming distant towards the players after he believed they were responsible for Johnisdead.com and later being captured by the Lunar Children only to be saved by the players.
    • IsocelesAssassin is aware that Greth in our timeline is hosting Patrem and claims that Moonman never had Patrem inside him in their timeline.
    • IsocelesAssassin is unable to tell the players who Patrem currently dwells within in his timeline. He is also unable to tell the players who the traitor is.
    • IsocelesAssassin reiterates that Yugi is simply a newer member of the Internet Detectives in his timeline.
    • IsocelesAssassin claims that he doesn't remember José ever appearing in his timeline.
    • IsocelesAssassin is unaware of any ceremony taking place and is surprised that the players were able to speak to Tyler, as he is apparently being "held somewhere".

The second half of the video features footage from the same green forest environment with a sidewalk like we've seen in previous videos. A voice says "Walk the path again... Past the waters". The runes "ᚨ/ᛞ/ᛞᛖ" appear as footage recorded by Tyler cuts in. He experiments with the Detour Sign some more when he is suddenly attacked by Greth weilding a sword. After being chased around his yard, Tyler jumps onto the Detour Sign and escapes into a strange green environment. He crosses a bridge and comes face to face with the same faceless mannequin-like entity we've seen before with a briefcase sitting next to him.
