On New Year's Eve in 1999, the Smeely Children Arc began.
First, Moonman confirmed the canonicity of Slinky. This was all caught on video and uploaded to Silentdork. Everyone thought that this was beautiful and they wouldn't shut the fuck up about it.
A few days later, John used arcane magic to manifest The Internet Detectives. This was considered unmarketable on many levels and the whole event was celebrated.
