The Truth Arc

The Truth Arc is the fourth arc of Johnisdead. This arc began on July 3rd, 2016 and ended on January 1st, 2017. This arc saw the return of the Moon Children website Youshouldnthavedonethat.net as players witnessed events from the year 2010, exploring more of the cult's dark history. The return of Youshouldnthavedonethat.net resulted in many veteran players returning to the community. Originally, the fact that this arc was a part of Johnisdead was kept secret, resulting in many players believing this was the return of Jadusable's original ARG.

Notice:

It's important to remember that the Moon Children and the Lunar Children are two separate groups.
The Moon Children were housed in the Orchard, owned the site Youshouldnthavedonethat.net, and were led by Mr. D - an entity heavily implied to be Tenebris.
The Lunar Children were housed in the fishery, owned the site Lunarchildren.com, and were led by Patrem.
This arc mainly focuses around the Moon Children.
For convenience sake, we will often be referring to "Youshouldnthavedonethat.net" as "YSHDT.net" throughout this timeline.

July 3rd, 2016

• At 12:00 PM, players discovered that "http://www.youshouldnthavedonethat.net", the website owned by the Moon Children that was used during Jadusable's ARG, was once again active. This site had previously been owned by the "GoChina" after not being renewed by Jadusable. The site now featured a generic login page that read "Sign in to GoChina".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the login page for YSHDT.net had updated. The page now read "Sign in to The Moon Children".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that YSHDT.net had reverted to how it appeared during Jadusable's ARG. A brief summary of the content discovered on YSHDT.net during Jadusable's ARG is as follows:
Front Page - Contained a brief introduction to the Moon Children along with a Guestbook where users could leave comments. (Link) This page also contained announcements written by high ranking Moon Children and mysterious entities:
Matt, also known as Ifrit.
Chris, also known as Nekko.
Spencer, also known as Duskworld23.
Kevin, also known as Insidiae.
DROWNED, who is implied to be BEN.
Kelbris, who made a single, threatening post.
Contact Us - A page where players could submit their personal contact information. (Link) Several "Contact Pages" were hidden for various Moon Children that hid further information:
Ben - Ben's contact page. This page contained a countdown to the fourth day. (Link)
Drowned - Drowned's contact page. This page contained a large image of Kelbris. (Link)
Ifrit - Matt's contact page. This page led players to Matt's email address and the YouTube channel "TheLinkMissing". After Matt disappeared as the second cycle began, this page was filled with images of BEN. (Link)
Alex - Alex's contact page. This page contained text further linking Alex to the "TheLinkMissing" YouTube channel. (Link)
Search - Links to a search page that allowed players to quickly scour the site. (Link)
The Truth - Links to a locked page. Finding a way to enter this page was one of the main goals from Jadusable's ARG. (Link)

Notice:

To avoid any confusion, it's important to note that YSHDT.net operated on a three day cycle. This means that on the night of the third day, the players were required to "reset" the site by submitting the Song of Time. This would revert the site to how it was three days prior, often with small changes.
The players were essentially experiencing alternate timeline versions of the same website whenever a new cycle began.

For convenience sake, we will be referring to most YSHDT.net pages as their casual name rather than their entire URL.
For example, the page "http://www.youshouldnthavedonethat.net/index.php/contact/ifrit will simply be referred to as "Matt's Contact Page".

• At an unknown time, players discovered that YSHDT.net featured a video titled "again.wmv" embedded onto the front page. This video was uploaded to a new YouTube channel named "fj6rt missing". Shortly after this video was discovered, it was privated on YouTube.

The video begins with footage from Majora's Mask. Deku Link is walking around Clock Town on the night of the first day. Despite this, music is still playing. We see Deku Link entering East Clock Town. As the area loads in, we see the Elegy Statue's smile quickly flash on screen accompanied by a loud sound. Deku Link approaches the Bomber Gang Kid and is asked for the secret code. Deku Link enters '15423' and it is accepted. The video cuts to black and text appears:

"You are not done playing yet."

Distorted sounds play in the background. And empty dialogue box appears as the Skull Kid laughs. Text flashes on screen.

"United Alliance"

An image of the Player group "We Are All Link" flashes on screen, followed by a flash of the "What's Your Mask?" Player group. More text appears.

"Heroes of Time"

An image of the "Knights of Jad" player group appears, followed by a flash of "The Fourth Day" Player group.

"Team Vanguard"

"System of a Dream"

The "Bomber Gang Kids" Player group image appears as darkness slowly covers it. A backwards scream is heard as the video cuts to black. More text appears:

Hey guys Chris again, it has been a really really REALLY long day. It just feels like today is never going to end. But my complaning aside I have a few things that need to be addressed. I lost our testimonials (I am so sososososo sorry about that) I just don't know how it happened, but we won't be getting that testimonials page up after all. Its ok though, Luna is something that is best ecperianced personally in my opinion (not trying to make excuses or anything though, still really sorry). Also, I see we are already getting more traffic (yaaaaayyy new friends) And I am aware of the problem with the guestbook, but no I still don't know why it is displaying things 6 years in the future (I know I made that future joke before but wow guys did someone get lost in a time machine here, heh). That being said we are trying to work on it. Oh and be sure if you are in the area to stop by Ifrits place on sunday for the big party

It is flesh sans soul, a once living traitor, a servant and nothing more. The man is smiling.".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that Alex's contact page was now titled "g2".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that Matt's contact page contained the text "What did he do on sunday?".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the text found previously on the "Pressroom" page that read "sheep to the slaughter" now linked to the audio file "jintod.ogg". Unfortunately, this file was corrupted and would not play.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that Ben's contact page once again contained a countdown to "The Fourth Day". This page also contained the text "JNNDE LIES SOKF SOON TO COMPLETE MY TRIVOAB BMIND TBODY FSOUL!JVQD ENBUHOTH THIS GAME WILL HAPPEN AGAIN AND AGAIN UNTIL ALL IS CONSUMED!".
• At an unknown time, players discovered a new page on YSHDT.net - "http://www.youshouldnthavedonethat.net/index.php/giant". This page was titled "1" and contained an image of Kelbris. This page also contained the text "YOU SHOULDN'T BE HERE" written in bright red and played a reversed version of the "Southern Swamp" theme from Majora's Mask titled "D.ogg".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the title of the "Giant Page" had changed to "g1".
• At an unknown time, players discovered a new page on YSHDT.net - "http://www.youshouldnthavedonethat.net/index.php/r". This page was titled "R" and was completely blank.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the audio "Song_of_Healing_Reversed.ogg" previously found within YSHDT.net's downloadable files now hid a conversation between the Moon Children Rem and David in its coding:

Players discovered that this audio file previously would not play because text had been inserted into its code that read "Radio them and tell them what is happening to ifrit". Once this text was removed, the audio file played correctly. This audio file features someone saying "Hiding right now... ((Unintelligible)) he'll kill us, I don't know what I'm doing... No, no... Ifrit. He- he... he wanted to talk to Ifrit. ((Unintelligible)) He's... oh, no... He's killing us. He's... ((Unintelligible)) to realize... please." with occasional knocking sounds.

Summary

• It's further implied that Alex and Spencer were drowned by Matt - something said in the video "IMG_1427" and hinted at on the Lunar Children forums.

• At an unknown time, a timer appeared on Ben's contact page counting down to midnight on July 5th. Text was also found on this page reading "You couldn't change anything... whats makes you think you can this time?".
• At 7:55 PM, Matt sent out an unknown email. Unfortunately, its contents were not archived.

Summary

• Spencer tells the players that he is not able to give them the login information for The Truth.
• Spencer claims that, on Sunday, Kelbris will wake up and "change" Matt somehow - likely leading to him killing and transcending Spencer and Alex under Tenebris's control.
• Spencer describes Tenebris as a "parasite of the body and soul", claiming it requires those of others to present itself.
• Spencer tells the player that he has already transcended like Kelbris, Alex, and Doug. It appears as if the "Zora Mask" is simply allowing him to speak normally and break free from their control for a brief moment.

• At 10:09 PM, the player Mugen Kagemaru sent an email to Matt reading "Be careful at your party, Matt.
• At 10:11 PM, Rosa replied to Mugen Kagemaru's message through Matt's email account with "I am not my brother.".
• At 10:39 PM, players noticed that the title of Ben's contact page reverted back to "A Sacrifice" and the "Luna Prophecy" on the Theories Page returned to normal.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the search page contained the text "Do you honestly think you can escape from me?" in the source code.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the "Giant Page" now contained the meta tag "D" in the source code.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the "G2 Page" now contained the meta tag "Alex" in the source code.
• At an unknown time, players discovered that the front page of YSHDT.net had changed. The "Moon Children" header was replaced with text reading "Hopeless".
• At an unknown time, players discovered that most of the content on front page of YSHDT.net had been deleted. The page's meta tag now hid the text "who is mr. d?". The page's source code also hid a broken audio file titled "Get_it_yet.ogg". This audio file's source contained text from a chatlog involving the Moon Children "Rem" and "Dani". Once this text was removed from the file's code, the audio would play correctly, revealing the sound of Skull Kid's laugh from Majora's Mask.

Summary

• The Moon Child Rem claims he saw Kelbris at Rosa's door. After this, Rosa seemingly disappeared.
• Rem claims that Kelbris didn't wish to kill Matt - only speak to him. This is implied to be what Spencer was referring to earlier - whatever Kelbris did to Matt drove him to kill the other Moon Children.

Do you know what you are getting into? The game does not stop just because you want to quit playing. I AM STILL ALIVE.

The creed page now contained text reading "Sometimes She scares me".
The contact page now contained text reading "They xiyks not ayecucw ub such power. THE FATHER shqdura ubswxyn bixr" and meta tags that read "to the new alignment". The "Moon Children" header on this page now simply read "4".
The about page now contained text reading "SilentDT" and meta tags that read "IS NO MORE". The "Moon Children" header on this page now read "Trapped".

Hey guys, just wanted to apologize for the site being down all day yesterday. We have a huge influx of trolls, no doubt because we're a bit more "mainstream" now. We've been going down every so often because of bandwidth overload, and we've gotten and insane amount of requests to join us, most of theM are trolls. We will woRry about all of this after Sunday though. I want to thank Chris for pushing the iDea for us to have that group reunion. I am excited to get to Spend timE with all of you again my old friEndS. Since it is starting tomorrow this will be my last post until next week, I have to get everything ready. See you all then.

This video begins with footage of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. Adult Link is seen fighting Dark Link in the Temple of Time. Link backs away from Dark Link, taking two hits of damage. The second time Link is damaged, the footage stutters. Link gets hit twice more before pulling out his ocarina. Link plays the Song of Time before getting hit a final time, causing the video to stutter once more before ending.

Summary

• Link fends off Dark Link in the Temple of Time before playing the "Song of Time". This is meant to symbolize our Link, Tyler, submitting the Song of Time to reset the cycle before the end of the third day.

I am still working on the testimonials stuff, a lot harder than I would have been if SOMEBODY would get on the IRC (Ifriiiiiiiit where are youuuuuuuuu????) But a litle bit of focus hleped me find the testimonials (I think) I don't remember us having so few (and all of the ones I found were from traitors Ewwww) so I will have to look around a bit more. Hello everyone, sorry I have not had time to post as I have been very busy behind the scenes working on many things both in relation to this website, as well as this group overall. However I would like to take this moment of time to say I am happy to see us all back in action nearly 4 days strong now. Short time I know, but given the extended break this group has taken it feels like quite a large sum of activity by comparison. I have finally had the chance to speak face to face with Ifrit amd am glad that we seem to be getting along quite well so quickly. Very happy to see we seem to have a lot in common now. He also informed me of his celebration he plans to have tomorrow, for which I would be very excited to be a part of, however I will be busy elsewhere and will have no choice but to stop in near the end of tomorrows festivities, the items that had been brought over from the residence of the traitors have interested us all greatly and I will be looking further into the business of them during this time. Hello everyone, I just wanted to give a quick update and a bit of a rant about dear friend Alex, and how he broke a rule that I feel needs to be set for everyone. DO NOT mix with the traitors. This cannot be stressed enough, they are dangerous to you all and filled with insane blasphemers. While the book he obtained from them my be beneficial overall it CANNOT be stressed enough that this needs to be done only with direct consent from Mr.D or not at all. If Ifrit were not busy preparing for the party on Sunday I am sure he would have updated and not even taken the time to point out this mistake Alex made however I will. That being said due to Ifrits absence and us being short a mod I have not had the time to make the updates that should be made as I have been doing a lot of work behind the scenes myself. So I felt the need to clear up after the short escapade earlier, Alex is still with us and while it was not wise of him to do what we did, nor are we quite sure yet as to how or why he happened upon them and obtained the item he did. However we would not extradite him, it took us too much work to get him here and conditioned for his roles.
