The <b>Rule of Three</b> is a belief amongst the [[Lunar Children]] regarding the magical value of the number three. Believing the number to hold sacred significance, the Lunar Children are often practice things in sets of three or utilize the number in different ways for protection and veneration.

<h2>History</h2>
The Rule of Three was first mentioned by [[Rosa]] on [[Johnisdead.com]]. Here, Rosa claimed that [[Key592]] was created by [[SKM]] under the belief that the three digits "592" would keep it safe via the Rule of Three.<ref>Rosa mentions Key592 being built to follow the Rule of Three [[Johnisdead_Arc#September_18th.2C_2015|here]].<ul><li><i><Rosa>: This place is dangerous, the architect of this place made this location in secret, with 3 numbers under the idea that it would protect him. Due to what that group calls “the rule of 3”</i></li></ul></ref> On November 5th, players finally regained access to [[Lunarchildren.com]], where they were able to view the cult's official write-up regarding the Rule of Three. The Lunar Children state that three is a sacred number and list off several instances of it within their beliefs. These include the three days it took [[Luna]] to create the world, the [[Three Silver Secrets]] she was to impart upon man, and the [[Ceremony of the Three Elements]]. They also believe that utilizing the number will grant one protection or good fortune.<ref>The Lunar Children's page regarding the Rule of Three can be found [[The_Truth_Arc#November_5th.2C_2015|here]].<ul><li><i>"Three is a sacred number in the eyes of our mother. It took her only 3 days to complete the majesty that is this world. There were 3 Silver Secrets that she was to reveal to us, and many other sacred or holy occurrences that happened in sets of 3. Just as well, one of the most important ceremonies involving the return of mother, involves the gathering of 3 very important individuals representative of the three silver secrets. There are also many profiles on the [[Lunar Children Forums]] that include either three numbers or the number three - possibly due to these beliefs. On April 9th, 2020, players discovered another write-up regarding the Rule of Three on the alternate version of Lunarchildren.com. This page added that some Lunar Children partake in personal rites and adorn themselves in sigils representing the number three. It also claims that [[Father Alphonse]] was the one who documented the various repeating instances of the number three and included one new one - the number three being repeated several times by Luna when she spoke to [[Kelbris]].<ref>The alternate Lunarchildren.com's article regarding the Rule of Three can be found [[Our_Horizon_Arc#April_9th.2C_2020|here]].<ul><li><i>"Mother has been observed working in "threes" countless times throughout recorded history. Because of this, the number three is often believed to hold some significance to Her and is viewed as a sacred number. Through the Rule of Three, it is believed that one may be blessed. Some children choose to adorn themselves in sigils signifying the holy number.
